“I would not recommend Appliance Recovery based on my family’s experience. My mom hired them to repair her upstairs washer. Their technician came out, said parts needed to be ordered, then returned and told her the washer was fixed. The very next day, when she ran the first wash cycle after the repair, the washer flooded the upstairs and caused water damage throughout the home, including the ceiling, Sheetrock, wood floors, garage, living area, hallway, and closet. Instead of taking accountability, the company disputed responsibility, and their insurance claim was denied based on claims that the washer had been “tampered with” or moved. The washer was only moved by their technician during the repair. My mom is an elderly woman and could not have moved a washer herself, so that explanation was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I am a REALTOR®, and many of my clients regularly ask me for recommendations for home service companies, contractors, and repair vendors. “Called at 9am on Saturday and had a tech here by 11am. Had to order a part for the washer. They called me Monday morning that the part was in. They scheduled the repair that day between 10 and 2. My washer was running by noon. Great service. Will use again when I need a appliance repair.”

“My repair technician, Christian R., was courteous and respectful from the moment he entered our home. He never questioned my inability to complete the repair myself (actually made me laugh about the situation ) and approached the job with professionalism and understanding. Christian took the time to check if there was anything else that needed attention, and he clearly explained each step before proceeding with the repair. “I was way over charged for a minor repair. This company is VERY expensive. I hired them based on their reviews and high rating on Google Maps. But they charged me close $500 for replacing a part that costs less than $50 and it took the guy about 20 minutes. Their labor fee is extortionately high and they charge you double the amount for the parts since it includes the “shipping” cost.”

“Beware. Scam artists. Ice maker was not working in my whirlpool refrigerator. When making an appointment via the phone, was told there was a $149 service fee and waived upon repairs. Technician came out 1 hour past the appointment window, was working the issue from 3:01pm to 3:09pm, and charged $225 of labor. The total was not disclosed upon checking out. The price was made to seem like it was $149 as discussed when booking the appointment. Instead, they took advantage of a person who was not knowledgeable in refrigerators. The issue was fixed with 3 screws and rinsing the ice maker arm under hot water. Wow, these people must make a killing off of the elderly and the naive. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Never will I ever use this scam business nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.”
