About

Sears Appliance Repair operates in Arlington, Texas, as part of Sears Home Services. They send manufacturer-trained technicians to fix major appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens and stoves. The work covers brands such as Whirlpool, Samsung, LG and Maytag across West Arlington, East Arlington, Dalworthington Gardens and Pantego. Technicians handle compressor issues, ice makers, leaks, spin and heat problems, drainage faults, burner ignition and uneven heating.

Customers report calling for refrigerators that quit cooling in hot weather, icemakers that stop working on older units, washers that need seal or valve repairs and dryers that fail to heat. Technicians named Alberto have diagnosed parts needs on site, scheduled return visits once items arrived and completed installs the same week. Marcus has arrived early, pinpointed washing machine faults and finished the work after multiple updates. Angel has checked coils, explained steps for better performance and followed up by phone. Brent and Wie have cleared ice buildup, replaced water valves and verified full operation before leaving.

Appointments are booked online or by phone with checks for same-day slots and upfront pricing listed. Technicians communicate arrival times, arrive with needed tools in most cases and finish many jobs during the first visit. Service stays within the listed Arlington-area neighborhoods. Some reviews note gaps where office notes do not reach the tech or parts delays stretch timelines beyond the initial plan.

The company shows a 4.5 rating drawn from 522 reviews. Recurring comments highlight technician skill at diagnosis and repair along with clear explanations on site, while a smaller share of reviews point to scheduling gaps or incomplete cleaning steps during washer service.

What Customers Say

“The service tech Alberto was outstanding. Very professional. he did his diagnosis of the problem with our icemaker on a Tuesday, and determined what parts were needed, which we ordered and were delivered on Thursday to our house. When he left on Tuesday, he set an appointment to visit us to install the parts on the Friday. We were his first call and the install was done in short order. this was a 20+ year-old freezer/icemaker. Yes, the repair replacement parts were expensive, but that’s not unusual in this day and time. I’ve bought OEM parts over the last few years for dyi repairsand see these as increasingly getting higher. However, if you look at the price for a new refrigerator freezer combo, this was the right decision. I saw the complaints regarding the AI scheduling issues. I can only comment that the process went very smooth with the initial scheduled visit being kept within the time range, we were kept informed several times confirm confirming any change of time, but all changes were still within the same initial timeframe provided. Personally, I’m not a fan of AI or scheduling, but I did not have any issues whatsoever with my service need. I will call the Sears applian”

“Overall, we are happy with the refrigerator repair. It appears they do have some internal communication issues where customer submitted information does not get to the techs. The person who completed the repair (Alberto) was exceptional. He communicated with us, was helpful, and it was apparent he is highly skilled. We gave this a review a 5 because of his service.”

“Great experience. My AC unit stopped working in 100° weather. The technician was knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. He had the unit up and running as quick as he could.”

“The technician was very nice don't get me wrong, but I asked about cleaning the washer while he was here and he said he was just supposed to clean the washing powder and fabric softener holes. While he was there I asked about cleaning the rubber seal inside the washer and he said I'm supposed to clean it with vinegar, and had me use vinegar to run through my washer. I went online after he left and saw that a solution was supposed to be ran through my washer which prompted me to call because that wasn't done. When I called I was told the Interior and exterior was supposed to be cleaned which was not done. The whole reason I got the service was for the cleaning and it was not done. I just want my washer cleaned. Also there was supposed to be some checks done while the spin cycle was going. The spin cycle started 15 mins after he left.... I just want the service advertised and what I paid for. I just want to wash my clothes :(. I spoke to 3 representatives after the service call. 2 of them were very pleasant, but the second one transferred me over while I was in the middle of speaking which was very rude. The first and third ladies were very nice and I appreciate the help they provide”

“Service person Wie did an excellent job repairing the water distribution valve, steaming off the ice from the small water leak that dripped into the freezer and verified that the water line and the ice maker was working before he left. Good job.”

“I submitted a claim on July 3, 2026, after my refrigerator stopped cooling. First American Home Warranty assigned Sears Home Services to diagnose and complete the repair. The earliest appointment available was July 13, 2026. On July 13, the Sears technician, Jerry, arrived without any tools. He briefly inspected the refrigerator, stated that he knew what was wrong, and told me he would order the necessary parts. He then left without performing any repair or providing a timeframe for completion. Since that visit, I have contacted both First American Home Warranty and Sears Home Services two to three times each week seeking updates. First American has informed me that my claim has been escalated multiple times and assigned me a claim manager named Eddie. Despite these assurances, no meaningful action has been taken. As of August 5, 2026, more than a month after I filed my claim, I have not received the replacement parts, no repair has been scheduled, and my refrigerator remains inoperable. This prolonged delay has caused significant financial hardship and inconvenience. I lost all of the food that was in my refrigerator when it failed. Since then, I have been forced to purchase g”

“Sears was no help delays. Have been without a refrigerator for 2.5 months waiting on Sears. Horrible service. Can't talk to anyone about problems. Sears will not be back on my property. Had to give 1 star just to send this. 1 star is so over rated Sears use to be a great company but not any more.”

“The tech was courteous but apparently not as knowledgeable as he should have been. Was experiencing AC not cooling. Tech determined problem was heat pump, and he could not get to it because the unit had a security cage around it He had to reschedule for another day because he could not be idle while the person was enroute to cut the cage off. In meantime cage was cut off 10 minutes after his departure. Subsequent appointment he did not mention heat pump, and I don’t know if that ever was the problem. He questioned age of thermostat which I couldn’t answer because I had been in home less than a year. He finally diagnosed the problem was a low voltage wiring issue which he had to recommend another service person to correct the problem. I was post op surgery and trying to not suffocate in the heat. A retired family friend whose trade was AC repair came over and tested the thermostat and found it to be defective and replaced it. I have been enjoying cool air since. I question the Sears tech training. I have no idea if Sears tech repaired anything as it was not discussed or noted on his final report. I have to have another security cage installed over the unit—an unnecessary expense”

“I have a protection agreement through Sears and it has made taking care of the appliances much easier. It seems like modern appliances break down a lot, and the technicians from Sears are always able to quickly diagnose and fix whatever is going on. They provide a great service.”

“Excellent Refrigerator Repair Service I recently had a Huy come out to repair my refrigerator, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. He arrived on time, was polite, and took the time to explain exactly what was wrong before beginning any work. He quickly diagnosed the issue and order the necessary parts, after the parts arrived then he come back to completed the repair efficiently without rushing. What impressed me the most was the level of professionalism—clean workspace, clear communication, and honest. My refrigerator is running perfectly again, and the service came with helpful maintenance tips.”
