About

U-FIX-IT Appliance Parts runs a store that sells parts for home appliances out of Arlington, Texas. They keep stock for washers, dryers, refrigerators, air conditioners, furnaces, ranges, ovens and dishwashers across locations in Arlington, East Dallas, South Dallas and Tyler. Jamie works as manager at the Arlington spot and handles quotes, orders and customer calls. The business offers free diagnosis at the counter and lets people pick up parts in store after they confirm the match.

Customers show up with broken beverage pitchers on Samsung refrigerators, fridge filters that need matching to old purchase records, and heating elements that fail on ranges right before big holidays. Jamie tracks down the right part and sometimes beats the maker's price. Jaime pulls model numbers from the system even years later and helps with dryer elements or lid switches. Jay and Sean hunt for same-day swaps when the first order misses the mark. Edgar and Juan walk through washer fixes step by step and test fuses on the spot. Chris and Nathan answer phone questions, hold parts and explain test steps for capacitors or igniters.

The store keeps common parts ready so most people get what they need without waiting on delivery. Staff test items at the counter, take phone orders and explain return rules printed on receipts. Some customers drive an hour each way because the parts sit on the shelf that day. Hours run standard business times with Saturday openings noted at the Tyler and South Dallas spots. Pricing sits above some online options but saves time on wrong orders or shipping delays.

Google shows a 4.4 rating from 126 reviews. Reviewers keep coming back for staff who stay patient across multiple visits, dig up old records and test parts before sale. A handful mention trouble with returns once parts show any sign of use or with warranty swaps on defective pieces.

What Customers Say

“I was in need of a beverage picther for my Samsung refrigerator. I called an appliance store to see what they did cuz I was having issues getting it from Samsung and the price was outrageous. They referred me to you fix it. Jamie the manager is wonderful they got me a quote, I paid for it and then he even called me to tell me it was in. This place has fabulous service they're just so wonderful to work with they were far cheaper than Samsung and it is Samsung but somehow they managed to get it to me cheaper than Samsung can. Anything I need for my appliances I will be ordering them from you fix it when needed. Thank you Jamie for the wonderful customer service I know now while you're the manager of the location.”

“Today I went to get my fridge filter. I totally forgot the brand or model, and Jaime helped me to find my last record of purchase in the system. And even when it was 3 years ago, he found the filter I needed, treated me as a new or frequent customer. Very good service. And he also save me about $25 dollars on my filter. I highly recommend this place!”

“Jamie at U fix it was awesome. We had the baking heating element go out late in the evening on December 23rd. We are hosting Christmas Day dinner at our house. Of course we were in a panic trying to find a place that was open on Christmas Eve and had the 28 year old part. Luckily we found Jamie and ufixit in Arlington. It was during the day and I had to drive quite a ways but he saved Christmas dinner. Thank you Jamie, it worked perfectly. The best Christmas gift to my wife. Hosting Christmas dinner is back on!! Best regards, David and Andrea Blanco”

“WARNING: U-FIX-IT Refuses to Honor Warranty on Defective Replacement Parts! Do NOT trust U-FIX-IT (Arlington, 4621 S Cooper St) to stand by their products! I received a defective warranty replacement for part #DC97-14486A on March 23, which failed and blew the high temp fuse after just two loads of laundry. Despite professional confirmation that the high-temp thermostat within their replacement assembly was faulty, the sales representative refused to swap it, stating the warranty was "only good once," forcing me to spend $36.18 out-of-pocket for new components. After delayed and lengthy email exchanges, U-FIX-IT flat-out refused full accountability, issuing only a partial refund for the thermostat ($13.15) while explicitly denying the refund for the thermal fuse that failed as a direct result of their defective component. This company's so-called "1-year, 1-time replacement guarantee" is worthless when the part they give you is defective from the start—save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere.”

“I purchased this regular stock part- capacitor from local business in support. I tried to return it within 24 hrs of purchase. Return was rejected because it was 'installed' with microscopic scratch. Not sure if anyone can see in the picture. Mistake to buy from store, buy on Amazon you'll find most of their products there and have better chance of returning it. It's sad I had to write this but wanted to warn others of what to expect in case you ever decide to buy from them. Be cautious as they won't return anything !!! Follow-up on Jim's comment. No, when I purchased there was No showcasing of lack of scratches on the terminals. There is still no scratches on the terminal. Its just a reason not to return it. I would bet they'll always find something not to return it. Again this is just a warning for anyone who purchases from this establishment that they WILL find any reason to to return your product. They even print you a letter that gives every kind of assumption of why it wont' be returned. Just buy it under the assumption it will not be RETURNED, and you'll be satisfied.”

“I had an element go out on my GE stove and unfortunately, like every GE part it required a manufacturers replacement. Jamie took my call and ordered the part immediately and even allowed me to pay over the phone. The part was delivered a few days later and unfortunately, it was the incorrect part, but Jay and Sean at the Arlington location immediately got to looking for the replacement part and were able to get it for me the same day. There was a small Difference in the price of the new element versus the one they originally got me, but they took care of the fee and exchanged it with no questions. These guys truly understand what customer service is all about And I’m very lucky to have dealt with them. Thanks Ufix”

“I had an element go out on my range, order one inside store by the #'s on the old element and they ordered wrong, had to go to the store with the original part and they saw how small was the part they ordered. they told me they need the serial # went home and called them. the representative told it was a part for fridgidare. Wrong again it was for a samsung range, I gave them the right part# i need and he found it for $285. No i need the part # it's for $125. He would order the part# it was less, less cheaper.I ask for my money back and they took the 25% of the refund. I won't go to this store no more. they sell you what they want and for the expensive parts., and top of that they don't refund you the total of your money.”

“Customer service is absolutely amazing! The gentleman in there with the glasses and beard was very patient with me as I brought in dryer parts for him to test. Two trips later and still no results, he walked me through other options that could help. After coming home defeated, I tried the steps he gave me and it worked! Very grateful for his kindness and patience with guiding me through the process.”

“Not being a great DIYer, I still thought I could replace an icemaker in our refrigerator. It definitely was more complicated than I thought. But a BIG THANKS goes out to Arlington's U-fix-it store employee - Jaime C. - who after my having to visit the store 3 times to get clarification on instructions provided on You Tube videos, I finally completed the repair. Jaime was very patient with me when I kept coming up with roadblocks with the replacement parts and different instructional videos. He finally found a video which addressed the last confusing issue I had. THANKS, JAIME, for being patient and willing to dig deeper to find a resolution. Now, we have "Ice, Ice, Baby"!!!”

“I started doing business with Edgar 6/2022 and he walked me through finding a solution to fixing my washer step by step. I need a new lid switch after the $25 purchase my washer was working in a hour. Today I went back and was assisted Juan on finding a solution for my dryer start button not working. After checking all three places advised it ended up being the thermal fuse which cost $18 bucks. I was going to buy the start button for $65 originally but Juan advised to take of the fuse and bring it in for them to check. I’m so grateful for all these guys being patient with a single mom who fixes all appliances solo dolo. Such great leadership at this location and customer service is Chick-fil-A excellent!! Merry Christmas!!”

“They are great here here always helping and Jamie is awesome”

Robert Haynes

“These guys were great, i walked into the store at 5:52, just 8 minutes before they close and brought in the parts for my dryer. They tested them on-site and had all the parts i needed. Parts were a little expensive compared to online but who has the patience to wait a week for shipping? (i would have ended up buying the wrong part online anyways, i was testing for continuity where i should have been checking for Ω resistance)”

Gary Mericano

“Needed a couple of replacement parts for a gas range. U-Fix-It (Arlington, TX location) had one of the parts in stock and was able to order the other part and had it in-store the next day. Chris was professional and courteous (and I will add patient with me as I had some vent hood parts to search for as well). I drove an hour one-way to pick up what I needed and it was worth the time. The universal igniter I picked up was easy to install and came with several styles of wiring harness connectors...selected the one that matched and snapped it onto the bare ends. I would not hesitate to reach out to U-Fix-It again for appliance parts.”

David Lenington

“Great customer service & they had the part.”

Eddie Garcia

“Called and spoke with Nathan about a specific part. He spoke clearly and was kind. He asked if they could hold the part for me until I was able to pick up later that day. Once arriving I was greeted by a new hire trainee, and assisted quickly. Answered my questions with no fuss and completed my transaction with ease. The return policy is very clear and printed on the back of each receipt. Thank you for great inventory and customer service!”
