About

North Dallas Appliance Repair handles appliance repair work from Flower Mound, Texas. Scott runs the outfit and sends crews to fix refrigerators, ice makers, washers, dryers, ovens, ranges, microwaves and dishwashers across the listed service spots. The business has offered in-home calls since 1993 and keeps parts on hand for common brands like KitchenAid, Sub-Zero, Whirlpool, Samsung and LG.

Homeowners reach out when double ovens lose a heating element, stoves sit fifty degrees off, ice makers leak or slow down, stacked washers and dryers make loud noises from foreign objects, refrigerators stop cooling, or dishwashers fail to drain. Scott, Bob, Frank, Garrett and Neal have diagnosed control boards, swapped sensors and pumps, cleaned out ice buildup, and returned once parts arrived to finish the work. Some calls ended with machines running right again while others produced no fix or added damage.

Calls get answered fast and appointments often land the same day or next day in Dallas, Lewisville, Coppell, Frisco, Richardson and Plano. Technicians call ahead with arrival windows, quote prices before starting, and work around tight stacked setups or hard access spots. Trip charges stay modest in several accounts and owners sometimes advise against a repair when replacement costs less.

The company sits at 3.6 on Google after 74 reviews. Reviewers note quick scheduling and upfront quotes next to repeated complaints about missed follow-ups, misdiagnoses and unreturned calls. DIRT Score 3.0 from reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

“Excellent service. I have a 15 year old kitchenaid double oven that had a burned out heating element. Within 24 hours of their visit they had a new element installed. Previously I had called another company that came out and said parts were not available for my oven! Which I didn’t believe so I called North Dallas Appliance. I was assured that parts were available. I am happy as I did not want to spend thousands for a new oven. The trip charge is very reasonable.”

“On July 7, 2026 Scott came to our home for a service call. Our stove was off by 50 degrees. He diagnosed and fixed the problem. The impressive thing for my husband and I was all the additional helpful and insightful information that will help us for any and all appliances. We were taught how to fix that particular problem ourselves and why is is happening. Best service. Good and honest person.”

Eileen Dwyer

“We spoke to Scott and he sent Bob. This guy didn’t know anything about repairing and physically broke our microwave (photo attached) then blamed it on the maintenance. He suggested a repair worth $450 while a new microwave goes for $350. We tried to ask for justification but he just ended up literally running away. When we tried to reach back to him. He said we wasted his time and didn’t pay him for the visit. How can we pay a person who ran away.”

“Both my washing machine and refrigerator were needing repair so I asked some friends for referrals. I reached out to 3 different companies and Scott, the owner, answered my call. He answered all my questions and was able to schedule an appointment right away. Frank came out to do the service call, on time, again answering my questions, gave me an estimate and returned to do the repair as soon as the parts came in. I would highly recommend North Dallas Appliance Repair.”

“Our under counter ice maker started having some issues. I had just run a cleaning cycle and filter replacement. The machine was making ice very slowly, and the reservoir was overflowing for about 3 minutes every time it would cycle. This melted a lot of the ice in the back of the machine. I called North Dallas Appliance Repair and explained the situation. Scott scheduled an appointment for the technician to come out and take a look at the ice machine. Garrett came and ran a diagnostics and was able to locate the problem. They ordered the part and the next week Garrett came and installed it in about 10 minutes. It’s working great now: good ice production and the overflowing stopped. The time vs labor cost is quite high, but you get what you pay for. I would recommend them.”

“Very disappointing service. After 2 unsuccessful service calls to repair a Samsung dishwasher, I had to diagnose the problem myself. 2 subsequent service appointments to make the necessary repair have been missed and now Scott is not returning our phone call. What has happened to common courtesy? Scott, If your company is not willing or able to complete the repair, you should have at the very least notified us. I cannot recommend your service.”

“I should have listened to all the bad reviews, but you live and learn. Scott Glover is the most unprofessional business owner I have ever known. He was rude, dismissive, and failed to listen and understand the problem from the start. I have a microwave that had a cooling fan start to fail. I could hear it and so could my wife. I explained the problem to Scott, and he assured me he would investigate. I received a call back that I needed a new motherboard, so he is the expert and I trusted him. I paid more than the microwave is worth to have it repaired ($375). When I went to pick it up, I could clearly hear that the fan was still not operational. Scott got immediately defensive and told me "I'll refund your money, it's not worth it to me". Strange way to handle that situation. Long story short, 4 trips to his house and the microwave is still not working properly. When I tried to explain to him that the fan is not running, he laughed at me and again told me he would refund my money. I waited for him to reverse the charge, but to no avail. I had to dispute the charges. What does Scott do? He runs my credit card again, committing credit card fraud. After leaving, I went to C&W Applianc”

“Given the choice, my rating would be 0 stars. I found Scott, the owner, to be unprofessional and overly concerned with trivial costs during our phone interaction. He sent a repair technician to my girlfriend's house to fix a dishwasher drainage issue, who then spent a mere three minutes on site, ran two diagnostic cycles, and hastily attributed the problem to a drain pump issue without further investigation..Scott, the owner, later phoned to recharge the card after the initial attempt failed. My girlfriend asked about the cost for the technician's return visit to assess and install the replacement pump she purchased, given the initial misdiagnosis costing $100. Scott replied it would be another $150 and emphasized parts must come from them. Initially, the $100 fee was to cover the revisit for installation per technician, regardless of part origin. After further disagreement, Scott chose to end their business relationship, stating they should 'part ways.' This company's unwillingness to stand by their service is concerning and potential customers should exercise caution.”

“ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!! Do not look any further!!! THIS IS THE ONLY APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICE YOU WILL EVER NEED!!!!! My name is Sharon Kellerhouse (Rose's daughter) and my refrigerator had stopped cooling. After several calls to services that either didn't return my call or couldn't send any one for a few days. I found North Dallas! No exaggeration I left a message and within 5 min had a return call and tech was at my door less than 2 hours after my initial call!! My compressor had gone out along with my control board. He could have charged me a fortune and I wouldn't have known the difference!! Neal was so honest and recommended for me to just replace the unit. Then arranged through his boss Scott to help me get a slightly used one for half of what a new one would cost then didn't even charge me a service call!!! I am letting every one out know to never use another appliance company than this one!!! If you use someone else you are throwing your money away!! I am in the remodeling business and this is the only appliance repair company I will ever recommend in the future!! So reassuring to know honest repair companies still exist!!!! I'm a customer for life!!!”

“Over the weekend, my gas oven went out. I began calling around, various places after checking on Angie's list. I could not get anyone to call me back. Finally, I did---but then, got no follow-up call to schedule an appointment for the repair by 4pm the next day. Frustrated on my drive home from work, I looked up "appliance repair" online on my cellphone. I came across North Dallas Appliance Repair. The business seemed to be local to me and near my residence---unlike the Angie's List options. Holding my breath, I called the phone number. The owner of North Dallas Appliance Repair, Scott, answered the phone, immediately. I was SHOCKED and very pleased. I gave him the information about my appliance, and explained my situation---from my own description and diagnostic "best guess." Right then, Scott gave me some options for when the repair person could make it out to my house--the NEXT DAY!!! I could not believe it. Bob, the repairman, was on time, and had my appliance fixed in under an hour. All I can say is, this FRUSTRATED PERSON is now a SATISFIED CUSTOMER of North Dallas Appliance Repair. I will definitely call upon Scott and his repair-crew from now on when I have ”

“I called about 12:00PM on Monday and had my ice maker completely fixed by 3:00PM. Scott answered promptly, was extremely nice and willing to help. I was given a 15 minute heads up by Bob before arrival. Bob was extremely nice, thorough, and completely fixed my ice maker. I was given a price quote up front, no tricks. I highly recommend North Dallas Appliance Repair, Scott, and Bob.”

“Called and was able to get service the next day. Was informed of timing when the repairman was on his way well within the 2 hour scheduled time. Dryer was making a sound like a jackhammer😟 My units are stacked on top of each other and not that easy to maneuver. As I was apologising for the difficulty, he was already diagnosing the problem. From arrival to departure (including showing me the stretched and unraveled sock that had messed up the *works*) Was just a little over an hour! Very pleased with North Dallas Appliance Repair and both the Scheduling person, the Repair person also the Price!”

“The repair person showed up on time and was very personable. He looked at my old refrigerator for less than a minute and said the compressor was bad. He said it would take 6-8 hours to repair and cost over $1000.00. Obviously it wasn’t worth it for a 8 year old refrigerator. I paid the $85 service call and he left. I was looking for a used refrigerator on line and came across one for sale for $150. I called, explained the situation and the guy said he would take mine on trade. He fixes and repairs them in his spare time. When he got to the house he looked at the fridge and said the compressor was bad but he could replace it or about $60 bucks or so. He had already brought the other fridge with him so I went through with my plan but the point is this company and it’s subcontractors really only want to collect thier $85.00 and move on to the next person. At least that’s the way it looks to me.”

“Don't use this company. I am writing this, literally, right after Bob just left my residence. As my beau put it, Bob seemed a bit "lost," to put things politely. We needed a dishwasher and refrigerator repaired. For the dishwasher, we were told that it would be $400 to repair the board, we said no. That's more than the cost of the dishwasher. For the refrigerator, NOTHING was done to fix it. We were told we simply needed to defrost it and clean out the ice maker spout (the ice maker is not serving cubes.) We had already DONE ALL OF THAT prior to calling. Nothing was fixed and we're out $100 for a useless service call - nothing was fixed but given lame unhelpful "advice" we had already tried - and we did tell Bob we had already done all of that. Don't use this company. I know Scott, the owner, will respond to this review and justify our waste of time and money - read all of the reviews below. Don't use this company. Call someone else, or save your $100 and apply it to new appliances.”

“When my washer quit working, North Dallas Appliance Repair was quick to come to my rescue. They were there first thing in the morning, diagnosed the problem, and had it fixed the same day. The owner, Scott Glover was very polite, efficient and answered any questions I had. I'd highly recommend them ro anyone and will definitely not hesitate to use them again in the future. Thank you North Dallas Appliance Repair!”

Alexis Montgomery

“In discussing my assumed dishwasher problem with Scott, he suggested that I go online, Google "How to unlock Whirlpool dishwasher. " I did, and followed the instructions. His suggestion saved me the cost of the repair, as my dishwasher is now working just fine. Scott is an honest person, and his sense of integrity is above reproach. NDAP, Richardson, TX is a trusted firm.”

“We hired North Dallas Appliance repair to fix our LG ice maker and received the worst service ever. After four visits we have not received a resolution to the problem. Original Problem: Ice maker makes ice, but water leaks out of the tray area and spills down the inside causing giant blocks of ice to form and freezes the ice container into the compartment causing no ice to come out and making it hard to get the ice container out to thaw the giant blocks of ice 1. Scott sends out Bob. Bob uses a tool to melt the frozen water and cleans up all the ice and charges $60 for the service fee, $65 for labor - I’m fine paying for that, that seems fair 2. Now, instead of the ice maker making ice at all like it use to, it stopped working altogether 3. Scott sends out Neil (different tech) to come take a look. Neil asks if Bob used a certain type of tool to thaw it out and I confirm he did. Neil says using that specific tool probably broke the ice maker and caused it to stop making ice. Neil unplugged and reconnected the ice maker hoping that would work. 4. Ice maker still not making ice. Bob comes back and says we need a new ice maker and it will cost $300. I’m hesitant and angry about thi”

“+++++++SAD_VERY SAD+++++++ I am brand new to Texas from Illinois. I needed the Kenmore washer that I was gifted with from a church member looked at. I was referred to Scott at North Dallas Appliance repair by a co worker. Since they do not service Bedford I drove the washer to his residence in Richardson in my SUV, explaining that it did not spin. He called promptly to explain that it was a lid cover sensor and the fee would be $150.00. This is what he 'thought' the problem was when I dropped it off- I hear it is common with Kenmore's. Upon research I find that this part costs less than 10 dollars??? I asked Scott and he said $150 was the standard charge for lid sensors. He also said he thought I just wanted this done free and that is why I told him I was posting a review. NO..I want fair & in honesty? I waited 24 hours for him to return my call & explain why he thinks this is justified BEWARE...HAD I READ ALL OF HIS REVIEWS I WOULD NEVER HAVE USED THIS COMPANY”

“The owners and technician are very professional, and very fast and efficient, my dryer went out and service was set up the next day to fix it. I can tell you my dryer was running in 15 minutes, and drying all my laundry, keeping me from going to the laundry mat in the cold. I recommend any one reading if your washer and dryer goes out, these are the guys to go to, recommended to family and friends also. I am a forever customer, who , I must say am very impressed!”
