What Customers Say
“First off, you will never speak to a real person. Everything is AI. SAMANTHA AI to be exact. We scheduled for an appointment on Monday 8-12. No show. My husband called and they said they would be here 1-5, no show again. Tuesday morning I scheduled again for 1-5 because I wouldn’t be home until 1 and my husband was sleeping (working nights) well guess what, they show up at 11:05. On top of that the man said it was going to be a charge of $139 while talking to husband. However in the email sears sent me, the invoice was only going to be $119. Luckily the sears person said he didn’t want to even work on our machine so it worked out great. Crazy thing is we were considering the home warranty plan. I’m so glad we did not do that!!! I do not recommend sears home application help.”
“After getting jerked around by multiple companies who'd diagnose our unit in ten minutes, take our money, and let it fail again by the next summer, Sears Home Services finally got it right. Brian was the difference — he took the time to find the actual problem instead of throwing a quick patch on it. Honest, thorough, and clearly knew his stuff. Ask for Brian if you can. Highly recommend.”
“Did not clean up after repair. There are grease spots on the washer and the back was not replaced. Water was left all around washer.”
“Our service guy was very knowledgeable about our refrigerator. He quickly ordered what he needed to get the job done. He was an Outstanding guy all around.”
“Emanuel was on time, friendly and efficient. He promptly evaluated our appliance and gave me options and suggestions.”
“They dont have a real person answering so you cant tell them specifically what is wrong with your appliance so that you can get an estimate of the cost. You have no idea if it’s in their wheelhouse to fix that appliance because AI doesn’t know. The AI just keeps telling you no live people available. Super creepy. It’ll be $129 to come out regardless if they fix it or not. Not booking with AI.”
“Roman was on time for our appointment today and was able to complete our service work in an efficient and timely manner.”
“The work done everyone was great. The only problem was it took four trips to completely solve the issue. And having to work with an AI assistant over a real person was challenging.”
“Phenomenal. I could not believe I got same-day service. My refrigerator is back in operation within 15 minutes. Worth every penny!”
“Great work it’s much cheaper to have your refrigerator fixed than buying a new one. They do good work let’s keep the economy going.”
“My technician Roy was amazing. The new AI service that Sears is using is one of the worst things I have ever encountered. On the first day of scheduled service, The AI canceled my appointment and rescheduled it without even letting me know that the technician was running late. And without consulting me on the new date and time. The second scheduled service the technician called me because the AI had logged it as a trouble ticket and was going to try and charge me $120 for the washer and $120 for the dryer to get service when my protection plan gives me that privilege once a year for free. And that number was even different than the email that I was sent by the AI saying $99. So that appointment got canceled because I was not paying nearly $300 for something I was supposed to get for free. I finally got it scheduled a third time. And supposedly actually got a human in the chat function online since there is no protection plan service option to choose from. And everything worked out well.”
“Jaime was very informative and clearly let me know what needed to be done. I was very pleased with his professionalism and his work.”
“Jaime was very professional and checked my entire unit during his visit. Sears is lucky to have him.”
“Service man was very nice and installed part that was ordered, but overall response from the company was poor. Window of service was unacceptable: 8 am to 5 pm! I was notified at 12:30 that repair man was on his way. He arrived at 4:45. I waited for 4 hours missing an important meeting. I called their online locator and was repeatedly told he would be here shortly. For $400 plus, if it breaks again, I will get a new machine and will not do business with this company again.”
“Overpriced for one part 600 dollars. Technician made some very off putting remarks that made me feel unsafe.”
“Abel was excellent! He performed preventative maintenance per my warranty contract. He stated everything was is great condition. His technical knowledge was on display when asked about the heater and defroster operation. I highly recommend Abel for your technician!!”
“Emanuel was fast neat, and knew what he was doing! Very courteous!”
“The repair person was fine. But…the arrival time kept changing throughout the ENTIRE day. I had to wait for 5 hours because of the inaccuracy of the website arrival prediction. Really bad, bad, bad. First it was 1:30, then 2:45, then 4:00, then 5:30. ! I will probably never use Sears again because of this problem. This happened on the first appointment also! It is a problem. It cost me $$$ in wasted time! Again, Sears, never again!!!”
“When Alexander arrived, he doubted the red tag placed by centerpoint energy for gas leak and carbon monoxide leak. He then claimed he couldn't pull the oven out far enough to work on it. Finally he claimed he was going to step out to call my home warranty company, Choice Home Warranty. Instead he just drove off without telling me he was leaving and without calling Choice Home Warranty.”
“He was so pleasant. Please send him next time I request service.”
