About

Sears Appliance Repair handles appliance repair work out of Lewisville, Texas. The company sends manufacturer-trained technicians to fix washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens and stoves from brands such as Whirlpool, Samsung, LG and Maytag. They cover neighborhoods including Vista Ridge, Castle Hills, Old Town, Indian Oaks and Las Colinas, with a listed phone number of 214-238-9901 for scheduling.

Homeowners call them for refrigerators that stop cooling, washers that will not spin, dryers that lose heat, dishwashers with standing water, and ovens or stoves with burners that fail to light. Reviews describe Alberto fixing a refrigerator after an earlier visit left it worse, Scott identifying and replacing parts on a fridge the same morning, Huy completing freezer repairs while explaining the steps, Micah troubleshooting a Kenmore side-by-side unit, Luis diagnosing a twenty-five-year-old Maytag washer, and Phillip restoring an oven to working condition. Some jobs required repeated visits when the first diagnosis missed the mark or parts arrived damaged.

The company advertises same-day availability and upfront pricing for jobs in the Lewisville area. Reviewers note that technicians often arrive on time and complete many repairs in one trip, yet the scheduling system sends repeated texts and emails, offers no direct line to a live person, and sometimes books visits even when the needed service cannot be performed. Parts orders can stretch across weeks, and multiple technicians may handle one job when the original tech is unavailable.

Google shows a 4.4 rating from 322 reviews, with frequent comments on technician skill mixed against complaints about appointment volume and follow-through. DIRT Score 4.2 from reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

“Alberto was excellent, knowledgeable and courteous! We underwent a lot of stress when one of the previous technicians left the issue with our refrigerator unfixed and made things worse. Alberto was able to fix it and did it very professionally. Highly recommend him!”

“Collin S. inspected our air conditioning system and determined there was a small leak. He was very personable and professional and kept us informed throughout the process. He made the repairs and made certain it was working properly. The only complaint I have is with the AI system and the number of times it texted and emailed me regarding my appointment, requesting information I had already provided and the status of the repair.”

“I’m having a terrible experience with Sears Home Services. I have a 2.5-year-old Whirlpool microwave/oven wall combo. The microwave started making noise and showing a flashing light near the bottom waveguide. I scheduled a diagnosis appointment that cost $250. One technician came, briefly looked at it, and—without performing any real tests or detailed diagnosis—immediately concluded that the magnetron needed to be replaced. He said it was a two-person job and estimated about $150 for the part and $100 for the second technician, which I initially accepted. Since then, Sears has scheduled four repair visits. Every single time, only one technician showed up, despite repeatedly stating it was a two-person job. On the latest visit, it was the same technician who did the original “diagnosis,” and he actually asked us to describe the problem again. Shouldn’t there be notes from the first visit—especially when they charged $250 for a diagnostic visit? The same technician who insisted it was a two-person job then tried to proceed alone, getting his tools ready. I told him I was not comfortable with that, both for his safety and to avoid any damage to the cabinet or floors. He admitted that ”

“Furnace does not work and after two trips, the furnace is still not working. There is no direct line to talk to a real person only AI. The only reason Sears did the work is because my Home Warranty chose your company. This the worst service I have received from an appliance company.”

“Where is the -0 stars …. Most frustrating experience ever, I had my bottom freezer stopped working and trying to fix it for last 16 weeks, After 8 technicians appointments and diagnostic, many part changes everything has stopped working and they gave me next appointment after 7 days out. This is hell in 100 degrees peak Texas summer and we are with 4-7 year old kids without any cold water or fridge now. Looking forward for more suffering sears. Thank you so much.”

“It took 4 scheduled appts. And 3 parts orders. First was wrong part that took 3 weeks to get. 2nd part was already broken in box and finally 3rd arrived. Had 3 different techs to finally get it right. But labor cost are extremely high for a 10 minute parts replace”

Steve Farish

“Scott was very knowledgeable. Went right to work identifying the problem and finding the parts to repair the refrigerator. Arrived promptly and finished the repairs all in one morning.”

“I have the Sears whole-house warranty. When the control panel for the oven on my kitchen range went out, they could find no replacement part. The only option they offered was to remove the panel (which also controls the cooktop burners) and send it off the manufacturer for repair, leaving me with no way to cook a meal. They are so far refusing to replace the range. This is the response I get after paying big bucks for the warranty.”

Marge Stockton

“The technician Sergio S was fantastic. The scheduling and so called A I is terrible. Technicians say they cannot speak with a live supervisor. Repair took over month because original technician went on vacation for 2 weeks and they could not send a replacement technician to put in new part. When you reach out to PABA they say will be escalated and nothing ever happens. The customer service experience gets a -5 where 10 is absolute best experience.”

“Huy did a great job repairing our freezer. He explained what he was doing and was very respectful.”

Connie Ramos

“Phillip di an excellent job at putting my oven back in operation. It’s better than when it was new!”

Michael Brown

“Sears appliance repair did an excellent job of identifying and rectifying the issue I had with my refrigerator; excellent service and super friendly / knowledgeable technician that performed the service.”

Sridhar Sidda

“Driver arrived on time. He got right to work and fixed our issue concerning hose from wall to ice machine. He was very efficient; explained what he was repairing and gave us instructions on how to avoid this problem in the future. We are very happy with this experience.”

“I had ordered a repair technician for an AM Call to come out. Now I have a disability. There's no nice way to say this. I was covered in human excrement when I woke up. This is a thing that happens with my disability. I had to clean that up. Of course this is when the technician arrived was in the middle of this. I was not able to get cleaned up in time and called the technician back. This technicians name was Noah and they left a rather curt voicemail with me about not answering. Now this I can totally understand. It's an AM call and I did not hold up my part of the bargain. This was unacceptable on my part and I left a deeply apologetic text and voicemail back with the tech and I scheduled another appoint for the afternoon. That appointment is now cancelled as well with no reason given. I believe that Noah upon seeing the same address for the afternoon cancelled the call out of spite. This is unacceptable and of course I now wished to speak with someone about this issue. Well it turns out that Sears Appliance Repair now doesn't employ any humans to speak with! Just an AI Agent. There is no email, no phone number, no way to get in contact with a human. I want to let”

“We had a horrible experience. Scheduled a tech to come out and fix what I thought would be a simple repair on a washing machine. We have a simple machine that should have been an easy fix, but was not. When scheduling the appointment, we agreed to pay a $130 diagnostic fee if we didn't do the repair. The tech came and, within minutes, told us the washer was fixed and charged $325. I wasn't home at the time. The tech didn't explain to my wife what was wrong and didn't give her the option not to do the repair. He took advantage of my wife and made her pay the full amount. We would not have done it had we known the cost. He was at our home for a total of 17 minutes and the washer still didn't work after he left. I've spent 5 or 6 days on the phone trying to get a refund, but have been met with many obstacles. Not a single person I talk to is able to help, nor do any of them want to talk to me. Most of them just transfer me around or transfer me to their AI phone assistant, which is the worst. We will be disputing with the credit card. Do not use Sears for your repair. Update to owner response: I'm done working with Sears and have no plans to seek additional help. I've already spe”

“Dishwasher was repaired within time frame given. Technician was polite and professional.”

“Luis came out and diagnosed my 25 year old Maytag washer. I figured the news wouldn’t be good, and it wasn’t. So, I declined the fix and will get a new one. I feel sure his diagnosis was a good and a factual one. After all, the washer is 25 years old!”

Joyce Gornall

“The service technician Tyler was very nice and very professional. The system in place to take my order for services sent out the technician even though the company knew that he couldn’t provide all of the requested services. As a result, we have now had to order the cleaning fluid to do it ourselves. Really disappointing.”

James Walker

“The refrigerator technician, Micah, was awesome! He trouble shoot my side by side Kenmore Elite and found what was the problem. With his 6 years experience in fixing refrigerators, he knew what was the problem immediately. The job was completed in a timely manner.”

Nta Colleyville

“I’ve paid $1,417.75 to Sears Protection Plan over the past year, and my refrigerator is still broken. Since December 2024, food has spoiled due to condensation, and the freezer turns everything into rock ice. Multiple technicians were scheduled -many didn’t show up, some falsely claimed I wasn’t home, and one told me to “live with it” because Sears wouldn’t replace the unit. I spent over 1.5 hours on the phone, transferred between warranty, loyalty, and offshore scheduling departments, only to be disconnected multiple times. No resolution, no accountability, just monthly charges for a service that failed me. If Sears can’t fix a basic refrigerator, I won’t trust them with anything else. This isn’t protection - it’s exploitation. I’m demanding a full refund.”
