About
Sears Appliance Repair handles appliance repair work out of Richardson, Texas. They send manufacturer-trained technicians to fix washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, and stoves in neighborhoods such as Duck Creek, SpringPark, and Richardson Heights. Upfront pricing and same-day availability are listed on their site, and the main contact number is 214-307-8405.
Customers report calling for washers that will not spin or dryers that will not heat, and techs such as Mario, Tony, Vic, and Sergio arrive to diagnose and complete the fixes. Refrigerator jobs often involve cooling problems or ice makers, with Jon and Kevin handling those. Dishwasher repairs for poor cleaning or standing water get attention from Robert, while oven and cooktop issues are also addressed. Reviewers note that many of these older units end up running again after the visit, though some jobs require a return trip once parts arrive.
Technicians are described as showing up on time, explaining the problem clearly, and finishing the work efficiently across the Richardson area. Service runs during standard daytime hours with parts ordered as needed. Reviewers mention that the phone system relies on automated assistants for scheduling and changes, which can lead to long windows or mix-ups, and a few note higher costs for short repairs even when the outcome is good.

What Customers Say
“The technician that was scheduled was amazing and very knowledgeable. His name was Mario and was scheduled for my washer. However the person they scheduled for my cook top was rude and on top of that said they didn't have me in the schedule. When I called to talk to someone about the fact that the outsourced company didn't have me on the schedule there is absolutely NO OPTION to talk to a person. Every number you can find goes to AI powered agents and they only have a few options. It keeps saying my appt is scheduled between 8 and 5. And no one will be coming. I have had this service for 2 years at $60/mo. Paid for the warranty and I have paid a service fee of $100 to have this fixed. And now Im sitting here with nothing. Stove isn't fixed and no one is coming.”
“Tony came first and then Mario after the part came in. Both were incredible and had knowledge of the washer. I’m a happy lady now that my washer is working.”
“I have an old dryer that went out. Sear repair man came and couldn’t get it fixed not right parts. Parts were offered again and a date to come back. this morning the repair guy came back and in an hour he had the Dryer torn apart and put back together. Very satisfied with both repair guys.”
“Extremely efficient, professional and courteous. I am delighted with the honest service”
“Jon, is very k not as well, and very professional had a friendly atmosphere very welcoming. I enjoyed his sharing his knowledge with me in reference to my refrigerator. I would recommend him all the time.”
“Beware of Sears Home Services. If you can get a technician to your home with the part, you'll probably be fine. BUT if you need help, per the Sears "AI" phone assistant Sears Home Services is an "AI only company and has NO ONE you can speak too". In my case I had an appointment for a technician to come install the part and no one showed. I spent HOURS on their website and on the phone with the AI going in circles. About an hour into the mess the phone AI tells me my scheduled appointment is next week. This was news to me as I had heard nothing from Sears. The AI was able to reschedule much earlier which then begs the question why was the appointment rescheduled for so far out? Very frustrating. I'd cancel and call a local repair company, but, oh yea, Sears makes you pay up front. Admission: I'm an old man and was reminiscing the old days of the great Sears and their wonderful service. This isn't Sears. After this ordeal I did some searches for reviews and my experience seems to be quite common. Fooled me once but never again. Part 2: After submitting the negative review, I was pleasantly surprised to find an apology from Rob B. at Sears. He even included a phone number if I needed”
“The repair person showed up on time. However, after all the questions I answered prior to their arrival to only be told there are no parts for my machine was disheartening. And then to have to pay for a service call to be told there are no parts and a replacement is needed, then why come out at all, unless it was to pad your pocketbook with frivolous service calls. I gave 2 stars only for the on time arrival and professionalism of the tech. You really should receive negative two stars for a) wasting my time knowing my machine had no parts to it and b) taking 130 plus dollars from me, which I could have put towards a new machine. Do better.”
“Call to repair dryer machine. The service “Mario” he arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the issue, and explained everything clearly before starting the repair. The work was done efficiently, and my dryer is now working perfectly again. He was professional, knowledgeable. I would highly recommend”
“Kevin did fine. The process was horrible. Other than the initial evaluation to repair my ice maker there were 3 4-hour windows with me "on call" that produced nothing. Will never use this service again.”
“Sergio was great but your parts and repair system is terrible. Whatva was of time for the client and repair person.”
“DO NOT GET A SEARS WARRANTY. The company has switched to all "AI" (virtual assistants). There is no way to speak to an actual person. I was charged the $100 service fee in advance of the repair man coming. When he arrived he was unable to proceed until I paid the $100 service fee - I showed him my receipt and my online Visa card which clearly verified that I had already been billed but because he was also using "AI" he had to leave without performing any service. I spent an hour trying to get a live agent on the phone and it wasn't until I selected "billing" that I was able to speak with a person. It is horrible and as soon as my repairs are complete I intend to cancel this service. If I was able to give zero stars I would.”
“The service technician was one of the most professional and personable I’ve ever encountered. He was efficient yet polite and warm. Excellent service!”
“Vic performed a total satisfactory service call. He was prompt, kept us appraised of his arrival, worked consciously to resolve the washer's issue, kept us informed as he worked through the issue, gave advice on how to keep from duplicating this issue as well as other issues with this model machine. I wholeheartedly recommend Vic and would use him in the future if I could. Solid guy!”
“Robert (0838409) was awesome. He took the time to analyze the problem, ordered additional parts that he thought possibly would be needed so he could fix my dishwasher on the next visit. He explained what he was doing and made sure that I was there when he ran the test. Although the product ordering, scheduling and rescheduling through the website and chat is absolutely crazy, Robert was a good representative of customer service.”
“He was very competent and helpful in explaining our situation. He is a very good technician and a credit to your company.”
“The gentleman was very polite and friendly. Went out of his way to help me with something else I was dealing with. Took care of my washer. It works or the cold water is able to be used now. He also took the time to balance it.”
“Zach was very thorough. He took his time and solved my issue. Great customer service.”
“Very good technician and I really appreciate his patience and understanding of an elderly comimg to the door very slowly. So blessed that he waited a long while. Old guy had phone on silent mode! Admirable with great technical skills and great patience!”
“Mario was great. Service was great. Price was very high for a repair that took less than 30 minutes. Parts $109 and labor $350 - excessive to any reasonable consumer. But I needed the appliance fixed in a rush so paid it.”
“Zac was a very nice man who went the extra mile to give us good service.we chose however not to repair the item but will purchase a new one.”
