Cabinet Tech

Cabinet Tech operates as a cabinet maker out of Abilene, Texas at 3317 E Hwy 80. Joey runs the company with Nancy and their son Mark. They produce custom cabinets along with items such as vent hoods, mudrooms and laundry hampers. The team also builds replacement cabinet doors and vanities for residential jobs.

Customers have described orders for full sets of kitchen cabinets and 42 custom doors that turned out with solid quality. One project covered a vent hood, mudroom and hamper where the group including installer Shorty stayed patient through the process. Other jobs involved a bathroom vanity that stretched from May into August with repeated updates about staffing shifts and other delays. A separate kitchen upgrade for an older mobile home led to a canceled appointment and a two week wait before a callback that noted 60 to 90 days behind schedule.

Work moves forward with direct contact from Joey and the crew, though some reviews note appointment cancellations and slow follow up on smaller projects. The shop handles local requests in Abilene and nearby areas based on the addresses mentioned in feedback. Timelines have varied, with some jobs completed to satisfaction and others held up by production issues.

Feedback shows five star comments on the quality of the cabinets and the straightforward manner of Joey and the team. Lower ratings point to extended waits and communication gaps. Topics that come up often include solid results on custom pieces alongside problems meeting promised delivery dates.

“Joey, Nancy and their son Mark and their installer Shorty were the BEST!! They listened they took the time and I really felt cared about! They were patient with me and really came through for us! I wouldn't go to ANYONE else for our cabinet needs! I LOVE MY CABINETS, VENT HOOD, MUDROOM, LAUNDRY HAMPER, EVERYTHING!!!”

“Ordered vanity for bathroom in MAY. Gave us the run around and said they were working on it or give them another few days 4-5 different times. AUGUST—- still no vanity. According to Cabinet Tech they fired and hired more workers and other problems etc etc etc. I’m sure they are working on bigger jobs than ours but also have other problems. We would not recommend Cabinet Tech since they can’t produce.”

“Went to speak to them about kitchen cabinets, made appt for them to come over. They called day of appt & cancelled to reschedule. Didn't get call back for 2 weeks, so we called & was supposed to get return call. Haven't heard from them. Very disappointed. I guess they didn't want to work on 1972 mobile home kitchen upgrade. Update: after waiting 2 wks, we called them & told us they were 60 to 90 days behind. Which is way too long .”

“Had 42 custom cabinet doors made to replace our old ones. Super pleased with the quality!”
