MVP Cabinets & Closets

MVP Cabinets & Closets operates as a cabinet maker out of Abilene, Texas, at 1126 Petroleum Dr. Matt Vivion runs the business with his wife Danielle. They handle custom cabinetry, closet builds, kitchen and bath remodels, door re-facing, and small woodworking projects such as dining room pieces or matching existing work. The company also lists interior design among its categories and focuses on fitting cabinets to specific spaces like mother-in-law houses or tight kitchens.

Reviews describe outcomes such as maximized small areas through laptop-based planning, installations that brought new life to homes, and pieces that matched old cabinetry without extra prep for painters. Matt and Danielle handled the full process from estimate to final install on these projects.

Reviewers note that Matt and the crew communicate clearly, arrive on schedule, and complete work without repeated visits. They respond fast to requests, offer suggestions during design, and adjust pricing when issues arise. Service stays local to Abilene with same-day options for some small jobs and on-site measurements once walls are up. The team shows up ready, keeps jobs moving, and leaves customers able to use the space right away.

All listed reviews give five stars and highlight consistent quality, attention to detail, and the husband-wife team’s approach. Topics that come up often include timely handling of kitchen and closet work plus reliable results on custom builds.

“When my wife and I decided to remodel our kitchen and bath, I called on MVP Cabinets to discuss the project. Matt came out and perfectly designed the layout for our cabinets. From there on each step of the project continued to be handled in a timely and professional manner. The finished installation brought new life to our home. Couldn't be more pleased!”

“Matt & Danielle are an incredible husband and wife Duo when it comes to customer service, quality of care, craftmenship, and making your vision come to life. We are so thankful for the work they've done in our kitchen. We will trust noone else.”

“In 2021 we built a mother in law house and needed a cabinet maker. Having been a commercial and residential contractor since 1985, I was looking for a fresher idea in cabinetmaking. Matt came out to our project once the walls were in place and measured cabinets. He asked a number of questions and left us with an estimate. We tweaked it a little bit to suit our 90 year old mother and then placed an order with MVP. They showed up when we were ready and I was very pleased. The prevailing cabinetmaker philosophy had been to slap the boxes together and send them out quick, leaving an enormous amount of prep work, repairs, etc for the finisher/painter. As a guy who had done a good amount of cabinet finish work, I was surprised at how little prep work I had to do on MVP's cabinets before painting. They had filled almost every nail hole vs old school of filling NONE. There were a lot of user contact surfaces that they had already sanded. In the past those areas I had to sand as a finisher. My mother has been very pleased with her new house and especially her MVP cabinets.”

“This small custom project for MVP put a BIG grin on my face. 😁🎉🎊 MVP's team was kind, attentive, and efficient throughout the whole process. I love how they matched my existing cabenitry perfectly. Would absolutely recommend for any project!!”

“I can’t say enough good things about these guys. They do great work, they have all the tools, and great people (management and employees). A very pleasant experience.”

“Last week I came in with a question regarding what router bit I needed to replicate a missing wardrobe door rail. Matt said, "Come on back." Instead of giving me the simple answer and sending me on my way, he looked over the rail I had brought in, scuttled through a scrap pile, found a match and with 3 passes on two shaper tables perfectly replicated the piece I brought in! I was stunned for two reasons. First, if you are a woodworker, when EVER does a bit fit perfectly with no adjustments on the first pass?! Second, he would not let me pay for any of it. So at the very least, let me write a praiseworthy review for my experience with MVP cabinets. If this is how MVP treats a customer who just walks in off the streets with a question, I can only imagine what kind of service you would receive from working with them for your new build or renovation. Thank you, Matt, Danielle, and MVP!”

“Matt did a beautiful job of building and installing a dining room cabinet. It is everything I had hoped it would be. He and his wife Danielle are a great team.”

“I hired these guys after having been jerkes around by so many other companies. They saved the day and got my kitchen back up and running in a timely manner. 🙌 And my kitchen is more beautiful than I ever imagined 😍 10 out of 10!!!”

“I called MVP CABINETS to get an estimate for kitchen cabinets after studying cabinets on several websites when we were ready to remodel. I am so glad I did. These were made to fit perfectly and installed professionally. Matt Vivion followed my design and made great suggestions. I could not be happier. The cabinets are deeper offering so much more counter space than standard cabinets and I chose drawers over doors for my convenience. It definitely is one of the prettiest kitchens I have ever seen and I am just so thankful. Matt was super helpful all the way. Thank you, Matt, and MVP CABINETS!!!”
