Headboards World - Custom Furniture

Headboards World handles custom furniture work out of Addison, Texas. They build and reupholster headboards, beds, banquettes, cushions and similar pieces, often using fabric or vinyl that customers bring in or that they keep in stock. Al and John handle most of the day-to-day work with clients, from taking measurements to finishing the pieces and sometimes helping with delivery or setup.

Homeowners bring in old headboards with worn faux leather or wine stains and leave with fresh pebble vinyl or fabric covers done in a day or two. Others order full custom king beds, kitchen banquettes or chair recoveries that match a specific room. Several mention turning marketplace finds or solid wood frames into platform-style beds with added skirts and insets, while keeping costs down by using in-stock materials instead of special orders.

The shop stays responsive on calls and emails, quotes jobs quickly and finishes most orders faster than expected. They work with clients who live nearby or ship completed pieces out of state with white-glove delivery. Prices come in lower than other bids without cutting corners on the build, and the crew helps pick fabrics or fix small order issues on the spot. Service covers the DFW area with some jobs completed the same week.

Google shows a perfect five-star mark across dozens of reviews, with people noting clean craftsmanship, steady updates during the job and pieces that hold up well over time. Repeat customers order multiple beds or banquettes because the quality stays consistent and the team follows through on details. DIRT Score 4.8 from 67 reviews on Finds.

“I purchased vintage floral fabric and took to Headsboard World for them to create an upholstered headboard. I am so happy with how this headboard turned out and it is going to be the star of my guest bedroom. I highly recommend Headsboard World for quality upholstery projects!”

“Highly recommend Headboards World! They did such a fantastic job on elevating a marketplace chair find with custom fabric I decided to have them do a custom upholstered bed too. Absolutely wonderful quality fabric options (or you can bring your own).”

“We had an amazing experience! Al was so kind and incredibly easy to work with. After we ended up with a bad wine stain on our piece, he was able to reupholster it within 24 hours — truly above and beyond. We originally purchased our item from Headboards World, and thanks to Al’s outstanding service, we will continue to go back to them for any future furniture needs. Highly recommend!”

“I have an awesome solid wood bed, but the faux leather inset had seen better days. I was ready to fully replace the whole bed, but then I found Al at Headboard World. I disassembled the headboard, brought in this piece and had it reupholstered in a pebble vinyl. They were so fast and it looks so good. I was happy to keep my bed out of a landfill and excited to get another 10 years out of it. And best part, it is less than a mile from my home. Highly recommend their work!!”

“I am still so thrilled over the custom banquette in our kitchen. It turned out exactly as I envisioned, and Al and John were great to work with. We had a small mishap with the order, but the important thing to point out is that they resolved it–and quickly. I requested quotes from several companies, and Headboards World was most affordable, but without sacrificing quality. Highly recommended!”

“Based on our superlative experience, I can now understand why Headboards World is a favorite of designers and homeowners in the DFW area. Right from the vert first moment when we walked into the door, Al's help and attention to detail was exceptional. He gave valuable suggestions and helped find in-stock material that avoided significant cost increases had we ordered custom material. Al communicated with us throughout the process and even helped us with the installation at our house. With the quality of craftmanship, the availability of a wide range of in-house options, the flexibility to customize, and the ability to deliver the best-in-class customer service, it is easy to give Headboards World the highest recommendation!”

From start to finish, Al's communication was perfect, and his team even rushed the order for me as I was trying to finish one of the last rooms in my house after a big renovation before a party I was having.
