Expression Construction Services

Expression Construction Services handles cabinet projects in Arlington, Texas. JD Gonzalez leads the work and turns out custom cabinets along with other fine woodwork pieces for homes. The business focuses on kitchen islands, full kitchen remodels, bathroom cabinet sets, and storage solutions built to fit specific spaces like tight galley layouts or areas reaching the ceiling.

Homeowners have had them build kitchen islands with extra storage ideas, turn galley kitchens into open spaces with ceiling-high cabinets and special pullouts, add accent walls, and update bathrooms and kitchens with new cabinet sets. JD improved designs on the spot, Carlos adjusted shelves for hidden lighting, and the crew test-fitted appliances to get dimensions exact. In one case the team handled coordination so plumbers and electricians knew exact locations before cabinets went in.

The team shows up when they say they will, keeps in touch during the job, and finishes ahead of the original plan in some cases. They keep costs reasonable and stay responsive through the whole process. Work happens in the local area around Arlington. One smaller accent wall job ran into repeated follow-ups needed to lock in an install date and extra trim pieces after the main piece went up.

The company carries a 4.8 rating from 15 reviews. Reviewers point to the strong build quality, honest dealings, and solid finishes on every job. Most note the crew sticks to schedules, delivers clean paint and stain work, and handles custom requests without extra hassle.

“I can’t say enough good things about working with JD Gonzalez! He built our new kitchen island and gave me so many great ideas for organization! His paint job was amazing! He also gave us a really good design for new cabinets. He even came out and made sure the plumber and electrician had the exact spot for doing their work prior to installation. I would highly recommend JD for any and all cabinetry. He went above and beyond for our project!!”

“We love our new kitchen. We did a remodel of a cramped galley style kitchen. JD worked with us to find the color and style we wanted. The result is a kitchen I'm very proud of and am looking forward to many years of use. The materials used are solid and high quality. He made custom cabinets for storage to the ceiling and a pullout cabinet just for my ladder! We'd recommend Expression Construction Services to anyone wanting to improve their home spaces”

“First of all, the quality of the workmanship was amazing! The installation team was just as good. They went above and beyond the scope for any little details that were extra. Test fitted the appliances, and the dimensions were dead on perfect! I mean EXACT! Initially the design was enhanced by JD to make the final outcome even better than first imagined. Carlos saw another improvement to a lighting situation, and took our shelves back to the shop and made it to where our lighting will be hidden and professionally installed. Overall the entire team made this project a complete success. And again, I cannot express enough how well they constructed every piece they installed. Every corner is exact, each peice is perfectly level, all of the joints are perfectly flush. Just a complete professional job all the way around. If you need cabinets, I highly recommend you use Expression Woodworks!”

“JD’s communication was exceptional. I had very specific requirements, and his team executed them flawlessly. I’m truly impressed by the quality of craftsmanship! Not only did he work economically, but he also delivered my cabinets ahead of schedule.”

High quality work, professional and very responsive on every aspect. Customer service was out of this world. If you need a cabinet company these are your guys! Highly recommended!”

“Quality work and ethics are sometimes hard to find in the home building/remodeling world. So Expression is a breath of fresh air in a business where being trustworthy, reliable, and honest are a little difficult to come across. I know when Expression is going to do a job, their work will be impeccable and they will be easy to deal with and do what they say they will. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for custom cabinetry and woodworking for any kind of project!”

“Expression woodworks, is an incredible company! I’ve known the owner for several years now, and their high quality craftsmanship, creativity, and attention to detail is impeccable. Pair that with their honesty, and work ethic, and you’ll never want to use anyone else!”

“Our experience with Expression Woodworks was less than fantastic. What started off to be what we thought as a wonderful working relationship, quickly turned into a nightmare of several months. We hired JD to compete an accent style wall by our back entry. It was a very easy project, nothing too in-depth. He came out rather quickly and seemed eager to earn our business. He quickly provided a quote on April 29th where we agreed to move forward. However, when it came time for installation the communication was lacking. It took me having to ask several times to get him to commit to a day and time. Once the piece was installed, he needed a few extra pieces to compete the trim. At this time we had asked for a quote on another project and he said he would happily provide one. Over the course of the next few months I received spotty communication, a lack luster attitude and one excuse after the next. We did learn one valuable lesson through this. We will never pay anyone until a job is fully completed. After JD received the money, we became an afterthought. After several unanswered text messages and an uncomfortable phone call he said he would try to get someone out to finish the job. He c”
