Top Shelf Cabinetry, LLC

Top Shelf Cabinetry, LLC operates as a cabinet maker out of Arlington, Texas. The company has over 25 years in the woodworking trade and focuses on building custom cabinets for kitchens, bathrooms, offices, laundry rooms and garages. They also handle repairs to existing cabinetry, refacing work and matching old styles and finishes. Dung leads most of the jobs with Tommy assisting on some installs.

Homeowners call on them to replace full sets of kitchen and bathroom cabinets during remodels, build office bookshelves and game room bars, create vanities with pull out hampers, and fix cabinets damaged by leaks. They have repaired sagging doors by replacing hinges and wood, matched 15 year old cabinetry on multiple pieces, built wall oven enclosures and laundry storage that fits baskets inside drawers, and stepped in to finish work left incomplete by other contractors.

They schedule a visit to take measurements at the house, supply a quote that includes drawings and a materials list, stay in touch with updates, and deliver and install on schedule or early. Reviewers note they clean up after the work, answer questions the same day, show up when promised, and keep prices lower than other bids received. The service covers the Arlington area with no set hours listed beyond standard business times.

The company carries a 5 star rating from the reviews posted. Customers keep mentioning the solid craftsmanship, the way Dung listens to changes and still meets every deadline, and how the finished cabinets fit the space and appliances without issues.

“Top Shelf and Dung did an amazing job replacing all cabinets in our kitchen and bathrooms during our house remodel. He also did a phenomenal job building our office bookshelves and our game room bar. The appliance supplier said his job was made easy by the quality of the cabinet maker! Dung’s attention to detail, quick build turnaround, promptness along with his unique personality made this portion of our remodel extremely satisfying. The best!”

“This was my first experience having custom cabinetry built. My experience with Top Shelf Cabinetry was amazing. They came to my house to do the measurement and provided a detail quote that included a drawing of the design as well as a detailed materials list. They were patient when we tweeked the design several times. They delivered and installed ahead of schedule. The workmanship was excellent and the end product was exactly as designed. To top it off both Dung and Tommy were friendly and courteous and his pricing was by far the best of the quotes I received”

“Dung is very knowledgeable in his trade, our cabinets look beautiful, his professionalism speaks for itself both in him and his work. They were on time with the work product and cleaned behind themselves. Cabinet makers are far and few between, finding one is a rarity so keep Dung in your phone contacts. My next project is my kitchen cabinets where I will be converting my bottom space into pull out drawers so I can better organize all my pots and pans along with my Tupperware containers and pyrex dishes. His prices are very fair. Thank you for your hard work Dung..”

“We recently had our kitchen cabinets customized by Top Shelf Cabinetry. They patiently guided us through the process from choosing from different door styles, storage options and wood types. They set clear expectations and meet every deadline they set with amazing craftsmanship. I would gladly recommend Top Shelf Cabinetry .”

“Dung rebuilt a cabinet for us and did a fantastic job. He was friendly, punctual, and completed the work exactly as promised. He also provided several great design suggestions that improved the final result. The quality of his craftsmanship was excellent, and we are very happy with the finished product. Highly recommended!”

“Dung did in amazing job on our kitchen remodel! We have a built in fridge, 3 panel ready appliances , and a built in coffee maker and he did a fantastic job ensuring all of our cabinets were built with accuracy. We have a custom hood and he made adjustments to ensure it would be installed perfectly since my husband and I are tall and wanted it installed above the standard height. Very attentive to detail and prompt with communication. He also provided great feedback on what would/wouldn’t work or be practical in our kitchen to help us maximize space during the design process. 100% recommend his services!!”

“Top Shelf Does excellent work AND they show up on time, something contractors are not known for. If you're looking for customized services on your cabinetry, I can attest to the excellent services of Top Shelf!”

“Dung did an amazing job on the vanity and linen closet in our bathroom. He was hired after another company did not deliver on what we requested. Dung listened carefully and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. His attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding. My favorite feature is the pull out hampers! Love love love them! I would definitely use Dung and his team again!”

“Mr. Dung and Top Shelf Cabinetry was truly a life saver. He came in after we had hired our initial contractor which did a horrible job and tried to scam us. Mr. Dung was very knowledgeable and professional from our first conversation. His skills were top tier, he communicated with me through the entire process with updates on the job. I wish I would have found him first. I love my cabinets! Thank You!”

“Top Shelf is TOP SHELF. I wish I had used them for more of the project than I did. But they actually stepped up and covered a part of the project that another contractor left out. Their prices were reasonable, they were on time with delivery , they produce a quality product., and they were easy to work with. Very satisfied with Top Shelf Cabinets.”

“The week of Thanksgiving (and of course 5 months after our 1-year warranty with David Weekley expired) we had our garbage disposal leak and flood out the cabinet box below, as well as the trash drawer next due it due to faulty installation. David Weekley refused to repair the damage caused and recommended we reach out to Builders FirstSource (who I guess owns Sunrise Cabinetry or whoever built our cabinets) to fix the toe kick and shoe moulding that had to be removed by the restoration company that we hired to professionally dry out the cabinets. The cabinet company quoted us $525 for essentially minor moulding replacement. We instead went to Top Shelf Cabinetry, a small business right here in Arlington and got it fully restored for a much more reasonable price. If you have any cabinetry needs, please save yourself the headache (and cost) of going with the builder-recommended company and give Dung Huynh, the owner of Top Shelf Cabinetry, a call.”

“TSC followed through on every step of the process to build a new drawer and fixing a cabinet panel that was destroyed by a water leak. He was prompt on arriving for the bid process and for delivery/installation. The overall project took longer then we expected, but the results were worth the wait.”

“Dung is an EXCEPTIONAL craftsman & perfectionist & we so happy with Top Shelf Cabinetry! He is very methodical, communicative and really cares about what he creates; plus the price quoted fit our budget. He created our beautiful new cabinets for our laundry room remodel exactly as we wanted by matching the door trims from our other custom cabinets that included soft-close drawers with pull outs, and created a lower drawer to fit my laundry basket inside to store when not in use. Rating: 5++ We will definitely use him & his company again!”

“I am satisfied with the outcome of my cabunets. Professional, Quality work. Would highly recommend for any custom cabinet project.”

“I had a contractor that left me high and dry on an install. The previous contractor dropped of the cabinets, hardware and no doors. I found Dung Huynh on google. Decided to give him a try based on the great reviews. All the positive comments are accurate. Dung’s doors match the cabinets from my previous installation. Dung responded within seconds to all questions. He informed me he doesn’t paint but has someone complete in 2 days. Dungs’ professionalism and attention to detail is top notch. If he needed to take additional measurements he always called. On the day of the install he verified if we would be available and texted 30 min before arrival.”

“Top Shelf Cabinetry is aptly named. I asked for an estimate to reface my kitchen cabinets. Dung checked them out and stated they could be repaired. The former contractor used the wrong hinges on all the cabinets, causing them to sag. Dung repaired the interior wood where the cabinets are hinged, replaced all the hinges, drilled new holes, filled the old holes, and my cabinet doors look great! No more sagging!!! He believes in doing the job correctly. He could have refaced the cabinets and charged me a bundle. He is a rarity in our times: honest and hardworking. I will use his company for any and all cabinet work in my home.”

“Dung is a perfectionist. This project included matching both the style and finish of 15 year old custom cabinetry. Top Shelf Cabinets did this to perfection including several trips to my home prior to installing to check the details. I am extremely satisfied and highly recommend this company for small or large design, manufacture, and installation of custom products.”

“They did a fantastic job on my custom office cabinets. Met with me twice, gave me everything I asked for and offered advice where things wouldn’t have turned out as desired. The end result was exactly what I wanted and I’ll be using them again in the future!”

“Mr. Dung made new cabinets for my garage and refurbished many pieces of furniture in our home, he restored the old cabinets they are just like brand new and the price was really good and affordable. I strongly recommend and I would give 10 stars if possible. Thank you Top Shelf Cabinetry!”

“Great and thorough job, very good communication and attention to details. His price was the lowest of all other estimates given. Very respectful and great quality of work. I had a wall oven combo custom cabinetry made and was very pleased”
