More Space Place - Dallas Fort Worth

More Space Place operates out of a showroom at 1033 Trend Dr in Carrollton, TX. The company builds and installs custom cabinet solutions for homes across the Dallas Fort Worth Metro area, including Plano, Frisco, and Addison. Ben Hobbs and his family handle the work, which covers Murphy beds, custom closets, home offices, garage systems, pantries, wall units, and laundry areas. Customers can stop by the showroom Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm or Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm to look at finished pieces and talk through options.

Homeowners call on them when a spare room needs to double as a guest space and office or when a closet is too small to be useful. Reviews mention Tonya walking through designs for Murphy beds that fold down over built in desks or bookcases. Joel and Jacob handle the installs, fitting queen size units with extra trim so everything lines up with existing woodwork. Ben and Vet have guided projects that added full kitchen cabinetry, countertops, sinks, and walk in pantries. Other jobs include wall units and small closet reorganizations that free up floor space without changing the look of the room.

The team keeps in touch during design and ordering, shows up on schedule for delivery, and finishes installs the same day in most cases. Reviewers note the staff answers questions quickly and returns for small adjustments like spring tension on a bed. Work stays inside the listed service area around Carrollton, and the process starts with a visit to the showroom so people can see the hardware and finishes in person before anything is built.

“When we needed a solution for a very small room that had to serve as a guest room and an office we reached out to More Space Place. Tonya was great and very thorough throughout the design process. I loved that that they have a local show room where you can see the options and finished product. We now have an office with a built in desk and a Queen size murphy bed when guests come to town. The process is clear and the communication is great. Their carpenter Joel was meticulous during the installation process and we love the finished product.”

“We got a murphy bed from this store for my office in 2021, so it can convert to a guest bedroom, and I am very happy with that purchase! Since then, we have expanded the house, and we will be back in a few months to order another murphy bed/storage unit for a new guest suite!”

“John and Ben of More Space Place in Carrollton were awesome to work with! They assisted us to design a panel bed that perfectly fit our needs. The bed is not only comfortable but beautiful. We were able to customize it to truly get a built-in look with onsite additional trim work! After installation we needed to adjust the spring tension and they went the extra mile to make everything perfect. It is so nice to find such a quality company, you won’t be disappointed with a purchase from More Space Place!”

“All of my bedrooms are upstairs and I wanted something downstairs “just in case.” Although a sleeper sofa or chair might have been OK, I wanted to look at a Murphy bed option too. The folks at More Space Place were a pleasure to work with. They took the time to consider different approaches and got creative to make sure that they preserved the woodwork and aesthetic of the room in which the bed was to be installed. They built and installed the unit with great care and attention to detail. You can tell they take great pride in their craft. I’m posting a couple of pictures of the installed unit before it gets stained to match the rest of the room so you can get a general idea of what it looks like. You may not be able to tell from the photos, but the bookcases are hinged and will fold back flat against the wall when the bed is in use. I am beyond thrilled with the finished product and truly appreciate the work of the people at More Space Place.”

“Tonya has been amazing assisting us with the design of our office and was very professional and knowledgeable. The end product is exactly what we wanted and we are very happy with the quality of our arrangement.”

Gorgeous - as pretty in real life as in these photos. My flex room is now a bedroom but only when I need it for visitors! Custom built by More Space Place - Dallas, Ben Hobbs and his family make every effort to create a quality piece of furniture to suit your needs. Joel and Jacob, Ben's fabricators, not only constructed this Objet d'Art, they came to my house and installed it! They were not finished until they thought it was perfect. It truly is! Form and function at it's finest! More Space Place also creates custom closets - check those out when you stop by the showroom to see all the wonderful pieces they can create for your home!”

“My initial purchase of a queen size Metropolitan Traditional Murphy bed with customized mouldings over 5 years ago was a great experience. The bed still looks and functions perfectly. Recently, an adjustment was needed, and the customer service couldn’t have been better. They responded promptly and corrected the issue. I highly recommend both their products and customer service!”

“Outstanding workmanship. Our wall unit turned out better than I thought. Joel does a great job.”

“3rd bedroom quandry for empty nesters. Bedroon would house guest/s only once in a blue moon. Meeting and doing business with Ben @ More Space Place was a pleasure. First visited in October. Ben took the time to explain all the details. No high pressure sales tactics, excellent knowledge of their Murhy Bed products and transparency of all included costs. Signed on the dotted line in November after checking out competitor product and comitting to the Murhpy bed concept. Delivered exactly when they said it would be delivered before Christams. Couldn't be happier with the installation and the 9" foam mattress. Bonus is that the majority of the bedroom space can still be utilized 99% of the time.”

“Had a great experience buying from More Space. The assistance with the process by Vet was great. Her recommendations were a big help. The bed is used quite often after install. It's a quality piece. Great customer service and responsiveness. Would buy another bed from here.”
