Custom Closets of Houston

Custom Closets of Houston performs cabinet work from Cypress, Texas. The company designs and installs custom closet systems for walk-in and reach-in spaces along with home offices, kitchen pantries, laundry rooms and garages. Designers such as Stephanie, Michelle, Kaileigh and Liana meet clients to measure spaces and select finishes like shelving, rods, tie bars and valet rods before any work begins.

Reviewers describe pantry remodels where Stephanie converted ideas into working layouts installed the same day after approval. Primary bedroom closets, guest closets, laundry rooms and mudrooms receive new shelving and hanging space that fit existing items while adding garage organization systems in some cases. Limited builder-grade areas get expanded through added rods and shelves, with crews handling electrical, mounting and final adjustments in one or two days.

Installers arrive on schedule, finish within the stated time and leave the site clean with no debris. Designers keep clients informed through the process, present options without pressure to add extra items and coordinate multiple trades when needed. Projects stay within budgets that reviewers found lower than national brands, and service covers the Houston area.

The company maintains a Google rating of 5 from 221 reviews. Clients repeatedly note the quality of materials, speed of installation and results from designers like Stephanie. DIRT Score 4.9 from reviews on Finds.

“As an interior designer, it’s essential to work with vendors who provide a seamless experience for both the designer and the client, and Custom Closets of Houston exceeded expectations. Stephanie made the entire process effortless, from the initial consultation through the final installation. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and truly brought our vision to life. The installation team was friendly, professional, and did outstanding work. Most importantly, our client was absolutely elated with the final outcome. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking quality craftsmanship and exceptional service.”

“Custom Closets did a great job on my pantry remodel. Stephanie listened to our ideas and turned it into a design that hit the nail on the head. It wasn’t long after we approved the design and the team was out and had it all installed in a day. Both the shop work and on-site installation were top notch. I will (and have) recommend them for any future pantry or closet remodels. FYI - we chose not to get a countertop so we could coordinate with another project. CCoH offered and had great options.”

“Custom Closets of Houston exceeded every expectation and truly made my closet dreams come to life. Stephanie and Kaileigh were absolutely wonderful from start to finish - professional, thoughtful, and simply amazing to work with. They carefully took inventory of everything I had and used every inch of space to create a design that was completely customized to my exact needs and wants. You can tell they genuinely care about getting it right. The final result is not only beautiful, but incredibly functional. It is legitimately perfect, and I could not be happier. Highly recommend them to anyone wanting a custom closet done right!”

“Stephanie was my designer and she created a beautiful closet for me. She was easy to communicate with and kept me informed as to what to expect during the process. I was anxious about “demolition day” but the team was great and the closet was clean and perfect for installation day. The project took a full day to complete and the end product was well worth the wait. I highly recommend her and her team at Custom Closets!”

“The entire team was wonderful to work with and we’re so happy with the finished product! Highly recommend CC of Houston for your closet/built-in needs.”

“I am absolutely thrilled and so happy with the work this company has done for me! ❤️ I have now had two properties, and for both of them, this company has built the closet of my dreams. The quality of their work, attention to detail, and professionalism have exceeded my expectations every time. I also want to give a special thank you to Stephanie, who has been amazing throughout the entire process. Communication with her has been excellent. She is always kind, attentive, and makes sure every detail is taken care of so everything turns out exactly the way you want it. I 1000% recommend this company! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you are thinking about getting a custom closet, I highly recommend them. “We hired Custom Closets of Houston to build out our sad builder grade primary closet. We needed to maximize the space at a minimal cost, and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the finished result! The space is even more functional and sleek than we could have imagined and it came in at an impressive cost. Every step of the process was seamless, the team was incredible to work with, and the end result is perfect! We highly recommend Custom Closets of Houston!”

“Michelle was a dream to work with on our storage needs in our laundry room and primary closet. She came in, chatted with us about what we were looking for, and shared a couple options. What I love most is that she didn’t try to upsell us or push us to do extra work. She really listened to our needs and provided thoughtful, expert solutions. The guys who came to install the storage were also great. Very kind, professional, and quick. We are so happy with the process and would recommend Custom Closets of Houston to anyone looking to update their space.”

“My husband and I moved into our home last May. We knew we wanted custom work done and after some research, decided on Custom Closets of Houston. There were lots of customizable options, such as tie bars, belt bars, valet bars, etc. The shelving and rod color options were also very nice and my husband and I were able to find a color combo that we both liked. Stephanie and her team were excellent. They took care of electrical, mounting, install, and clean up. The installation process was smooth, quick, and organized. We loved the work so much, my husband added a garage organization system as well! I usually wait for a bit to see how things hold up against the test of time – both our custom closets have held up very well since last May. Thanks so much, Stephanie, for such amazing additions to our home!”

“I had a great experience with Custom Closets of Houston. They did both my guest bedroom closet and downstairs hall closet, and I’m really happy with how everything turned out. Overall, it was a very easy process and I would definitely recommend them.”

“Excellent service and customer service! Work completed in two days and if you want the job done right the first time, use Custom Closets. All our neighbors used them for a pantry, bedroom closets, storage areas and laundry rooms. They welcomed us to see their work and we agreed. The quality of materials used and the professional installers were outstanding. A 10+ for the team work.”

“We had an exceptional experience with Michelle Custom Closets. From the moment she walked in, Michelle attentively listened to our needs and preferences. Her professional knowledge was evident as she made expert recommendations that perfectly aligned with our space and style. One of the challenges we faced was maximizing our limited space effectively. Michelle guided us through innovative solutions and showed us how to utilize every corner, including breaking up hanging space in ways we hadn't considered before. Her insights were invaluable and tailored to our specific requirements. What really stood out was the design overview session conducted over Zoom. Michelle skillfully made real-time edits to the designs based on our feedback, ensuring every detail was just right. This interactive approach not only saved us time but also gave us confidence in the final design. Overall, Michelle's dedication, expertise, and thoughtful approach made our experience truly enjoyable. We highly recommend Custom Closets of Houston for anyone looking to optimize their space with practical yet stylish solutions.”

“I am very pleased with my new closet. The closet now maximizes the space. Just look at the picture before and after. Highly recommended!”

“We contracted with Custom Closets of Houston to customize our bedroom closets and laundry room. Stephanie and her team came out and measured everything, helped us design and select the handles, etc., and made us very comfortable with their process. Their installation team arrived a couple weeks later and spent two days installing everything and involving us where needed. And when they were done, cleaned up and left no trace they were ever here except for their excellent craftsmanship. Other contractors we’ve had in the house also commented on the quality of their work, and we have already referred a friend.”

“I recently decided to invest in custom closets for my home. I wanted a custom primary closet and additional shelves and long hang options for my guest closet. I got quotes from Custom Closets of Houston and another National brand company. Custom Closets of Houston provided a much more affordable price, better design with a proper demo and patching and painting included. I am absolutely thrilled with my decision to go with Custom Closets of Houston. Both the demo and install crews were on time and professional and the results are fantastic! I cannot recommend them enough. Sarah was great to work with and provided me design options that fit my budget and worked with some existing built ins. There was no high pressure or sleazy sales tactics like the other company. If you are looking for custom closets, don’t waste your time, just go with Custom Closets of Houston. You will be happy you did!”

“I had no idea what I wanted—just that I needed a functional closet—and Liana absolutely delivered! She took my vague ideas and transformed them into a beautifully organized, highly functional space. The difference is night and day! They get booked up quickly, so don’t wait—get on her schedule as soon as you can. Bonus: she even helped me get the laundry in order! Check out the before and after photos to see the amazing transformation!”

“Stephanie and the entire team of designers, vendors, electricians, and installers at Custom Closets of Houston did a fantastic job with our primary closet, laundry room, and mudroom. We had a very specific vision for all three spaces that were functional and fit into our lifestyle, and they brought this to life exceeding our expectations while delivering value for investment!! Stephanie and her team of designers worked closely with us on the closet design incorporating elements and details that others said was uncommon. While some of the requests required multiple vendors (e.g., demo to create more space, stone countertops, travel docking station for devices), they were a one stop shop that took care of everything from beginning to end which was a game-changer as a busy household with little time to coordinate a multi-vendor project. Their workmanship and finesse is excellent, and they were open to feedback on minor adjustments throughout. They ensured we were pleased with the finished installation before they wrapped up the project. Stellar team to work with and we are excited to continue organizing our home with them!!!!”

“Outstanding. The crew shows up when they’re scheduled. They work hard and clean thoroughly before leaving. They are respectful and kind. All of them. I was impressed with the crew’s professionalism and politeness. I trusted them in my home. They were great. And they were cheaper than CA closets and Container store. The materials are quality, as well. Stephanie and Kayleigh did an exceptional job of listening to our needs for our 3 closets. They modified a few minor things for us. They were both easy to work with and communicative. I highly recommend Custom Closets of Houston.”
