Closet Storage Systems

Closet Storage Systems handles cabinet work out of Flower Mound, Texas. Marcelino Lopez owns the company and handles the design work while leading the installs. They build and put in custom closets along with garage storage, laundry rooms, pantries, and other cabinet projects across the DFW and North Texas area. The company makes its own melamine materials for the jobs.

Homeowners call them in when builder closets leave too much wasted space or when rooms lack storage altogether. Marcelino and Fernando have torn out old systems and replaced them with connected hanging rods, deep drawers, and shelves that fit the actual room layout. They have added custom cabinets in unused corners for linen storage, turned sunrooms into walk-in closets, and reworked kids closets into full wardrobe setups with four drawers each. In every case the new setups doubled or tripled usable space and finished with clean edges and solid hardware.

Marcelino visits the house to take measurements, then sends design drawings and a price by email. He revises the plans until the owner signs off. Once the work is scheduled the crew shows up on time, finishes most jobs in a single day or less, and leaves the place clean. Reviewers note the prices came in lower than other bids they received and that the team stayed in touch throughout. The company has worked in the area for more than twenty years.

Seventeen reviews give the company a five-star Google rating. People keep mentioning the clean installs, the way the designs actually match what was promised, and the fair cost for the quality. DIRT Score 4.2 from 17 reviews on Finds.

“We love our new closet system! We had a huge closet that was always disorganized due to poor design by the builder. Luckily, we were referred to Marcelino Lopez of Closet Storage Systems by a neighbor who had her closet transformed by Marcelino. His design made the most of our space and looks great! But the best part was dealing with Marcelino. He was responsive, professional, and did everything he promised - and more! With one assistant accompanying him, the entire job was completed in one day. We highly recommend you have Marcelino quote your job - you won’t be disappointed!”

“I am so happy with Marcelino and his work! He and Fernando did an outstanding job! Such craftsmanship and quality detail in tearing out our old closet and building new. I would highly recommend Closet Storage Systems! Thank you! Curtis P”

“Merceliono did an outstanding job on both projects I hired him for. My new home lacked linen closets, so he built a custom cabinet in an unused space and transformed my master closet with shelves and drawers. What set him apart was his input — he offered suggestions that improved on my original ideas in ways I hadn’t considered. Two other contractors quoted me higher prices and offered nothing beyond the basic ideas I had. Highly recommend!”

“Closet of my dreams! Easily doubled or tripled my usable storage in my Lockhart main closet by adding cabinets and drawers and replacing the hanging systems with ones that connect properly. Marcelino Lopez is the owner and does the design and leads the custom work at Closet Storage Systems. His prices and innovation were superior to the two other bids I got. Excellent detail finish. Highly recommend.”

“We are thrilled with our new master bedroom and under-the-stairs closets. (I can tell Marcelino has been doing this for more than 30 years!) Everything was handled professionally from beginning to end. After visiting our home for measurements, Marcelino provided initial design drawings and cost estimate by email and modified those several times at our request until all was just right. Once we scheduled the work, the installation team was on time, finished both closets in less than a day, and cleaned up well after the job. We highly recommend Closet Storage Systems for your next home, garage, or office project!”

“Love the Custom Closets! Summary: We had an amazing experience with Closet Storage Systems transforming our kids’ closets. Their team was professional, transparent, and flexible creating high-quality, customized wardrobe-style closets that maximized our storage. Since they manufacture their own melamine materials, the quality is solid, and their ability to customize made all the difference. We highly recommend Marcelino’s company! More Details for Those Interested: We wanted to make better use of our kids’ closet space and Closet Storage Systems exceeded our expectations! Our project involved converting traditional builder closets into wardrobe-style storage with four deep drawers on each side and adjustable shelving extending to the ceiling. The result was a beautifully designed, highly functional system that makes organizing so much easier, and the trim was perfectly blended to make it feel like it came with the house (see before/after pictures)! Side note, one thing I didn’t realize is how much space other bulky furniture takes up - incredible! The company demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to quality, and since they manufacture their own melamine non-beveled mater”

“We've used Closet Storage Systems for over 20 years. We worked with Mark Johnson in the past for several of our homes and most recently with Marcelino (who had worked with Mark for many years). We recently converted a sunroom into a walk-in storage closet. They do great work at a fair price in a reasonable timeframe. The Closet Storage Systems team is professional, quick, and efficient.”

“We had several bids, but Marcelino was the only one that could actually customize the closet the way we wanted. His computer design helped us to be assured that the final build was going to be our vision. I could not recommend him enough.”

“I was extremely pleased with the professional job done by Closet Storage Systems. They do excellent work, are timely, and offer an excellent experience. BRAVO!”

“Marcelino and his team did an outstanding job building our custom bedroom closets. Starting from design, pricing, workmanship, quality, delivery and installation - all of the above were A++. We love supporting local business, and one more reason why we went with Closet storage system. When compared to big brands like container store, closets by designs this smaller establishment exceeded expectations. To tell the truth, none of these brands were even closer to what this local business offered as a solution to our atypical closet problem. Try them, you will not be disappointed! Great job Marcelino!!”
