Alexis Cabinet Works

Alexis Cabinet Works handles cabinet work out of gastonia, AK. Van runs the operation and focuses on custom cabinets built to order for each job. That covers full kitchen setups along with pieces for bathrooms, mudrooms, laundry rooms, islands and utility spaces. The shop also takes on bookcases, sitting benches with drawers and range hoods. Every item gets made from the wood, door style, trim, paint or stain color chosen for that customer.

Homeowners call on Van for cabinets that must match existing odd sized pieces from older homes. He has measured and built laundry and utility cabinets to blend in so the new work looks original. Others bring pictures of benches or bookcases found online and ask him to adjust the depth or size to fit their space. Full kitchen and bath projects include custom hoods and islands where Van works through layouts with the owners and adds his input on workflow and features. The results show up in finished rooms that serve as the main focal point.

Van responds quickly when contacted and makes site visits to go over details before any build starts. He uses 3D modeling on some jobs so owners see the exact cabinets ahead of time. Communication stays steady through design, build and install, and he keeps the work on the timeline he sets. Pricing comes in lower than some online options in a few cases while the pieces stay solid wood and high quality. The business stays family owned and works on both big remodels and smaller adjustments.

“This was the best experience I have had during a home project, the kitchen had a odd size cabinet that didnt quite fit from when the home was built. Vance came in, took a good look at it and said he could mimic everything down to the color which of course was a custom color. He also built laundry cabinets and a utility cabinet to match. The profile, the detail, the paint job was seamless and you would never know this cabinet hasn't been in this house since it was built. I can not recommend him enough.”

“Van was great to work with and really made sure he had every detail right before going forward with building my custom bookcase. He made my vision come to life and I could not be happier with the quality of the work and the customer service I received.”

“I contacted Van about a sitting bench with drawers that I found online, but wasn’t quite deep enough for me. He looked at the picture and made a beautiful piece for me that was exactly the right size to accommodate my needs. He was quick and very professional. I love the piece! And it was way less expensive than the one I found online. Highly recommend!”

“We could not be happier with our Alexis Cabinet Works custom cabinets! Van listened to our vision and was diligent to bring it to life. He created a custom kitchen and hood that are the focal point in our home. Van and his team are knowledgeable and very skilled! They pay attention to details and have gone the extra mile to give us our modern farmhouse dream. What we love most about Van is that he is down to earth, practical and honest. He allowed us the freedom to help with the design but gave us advice and honest, helpful opinions along the way. ACW designed and built the cabinets for our kitchen, mudroom, master bath and two and a half more bathrooms … and we can’t wait to get him back here to design some built-ins! Van … y’all deserve ten stars, but it will only let us give you five. We love you guys and appreciate you!!”

“If I could give this company 10 stars I would. They far exceeded my expectation! My husband and I were so pleased with their professionalism. Their attention to detail was just out of this world. Mr. Van and his team built our 9ft island and a few addition cabinets to match some cabinets we kept in our fixer upper. We asked for them unfinished and he built exactly what I had in my head. I’m not gonna lie, when they left our house after installation was completed, I cried tears of joy because I honestly just couldn’t believe the product we got! “Alexis Cabinet Works built our cabinets almost 20 years ago and they still look great, allege hinges are working just as good as they did 20 years ago! We recently made an adjustment to one cabinet in order to raise the microwave and I needed the stove moved over 4 inches and Alexis Cab. Works was very professional and the end result was perfect! Very pleased with their work even though our job was very small compared to what they normally do!”
