About

Bashas' handles cabinet work in Greer, AK. The company operates a family of stores that includes weekly ads, catering options, recipes, and community programs. Customers can manage accounts for past orders, saved items, and payment methods while the site notes that delivery and pickup services are still in development. The business emphasizes offers and savings along with a store finder for locating nearby spots.

Customers describe getting meat and fresh veggies at solid prices along with specials that beat some other large grocers. Some note issues with dairy products and stale donuts while others point to strange layouts after past expansions and limited services at the customer desk. Reviewers mention friendly employees who help when found, though self checkout can slow down during peak hours and sale items sometimes run out without substitutions available.

The business responds based on location with some branches showing different policies on deposits or stock. Communication comes through the site for reordering and lists while pricing stays reasonable on meat and produce. Service covers areas where it serves as a main option away from bigger chains, and hours allow for quick snacks or meals from the hot counter when available.

Reviewers often bring up good bakery selections, fresh fruit and vegetables, and helpful staff at returns or checkouts. Others note problems with produce quality, long lines at one cashier, and attitudes from some cashiers. Google shows 4.4 from 1319 reviews with recurring comments on sales, layout quirks, and stock reliability. DIRT Score 4.3 from reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

“This place has awesome specials and is a relief for having to shop at Walmart or Safeway. I get most of my meat and fresh veggies from here. And don't recommend the dairy products. But the meat is very good and nicely priced.”

Danny Maldonado

“Only go if you don't want to deal with Walmart. I think they just changed hands. Just dont shop here unless you have zero other options. Walmart is better!!!”

Tracey Trotter

“Not a bad location, but the layout is a little strange. I think the store was expanded into a second store space in the plaza at some point. This store is not always the most reliable. The bathrooms were closed completely for "electrical issues" recently and their customer service desk services are more limited. For example they do not sell money orders or game / fish licenses. They do have a wide range of brands and items. Most shelf tags list allergens, which is great. The employees are friendly and helpful, but sometimes difficult to find. However, if you don't want to go to Walmart, this is the only large scale grocer between Show Low (has a Safeway) and Holbrook (also has a Safeway).”

AZDriver

“I went to deposit money at the branch. I usually deposit $900 without any issues, or sometimes I make two separate $500 deposits in the same day. However, this time I was only allowed to deposit $500. The customer service cashier refused to let me make a larger deposit or even make another deposit afterward, even though I have always been able to do it before. What is confusing is that at the Pinetop branch, they allow me to make the same type of deposits without any problem. I would like to understand why the policy seems different at this branch and why I was denied service this time.”

Alberto Estrada

“The Bashas in Taylor Arizona's deli never has the Friday sale items. And the guy acts like it's my fault they don't. Rude employees.”

Dan Daniels

“Needed a 675 hearing aid battery and you dont carry it. Why? All the batteries you do have but not this? Why?! Why do all the damn stores not carry it including you? Shame on you!!!!”

RedPill Samurai

“The self checkout is not efficient. I explicitly use self checkout at Safeway and Wal-Mart and never have issues, only at Bashas. The sales and bakery are the best though. 2024: My favorite for produce, meat and bakery. Self checkout is great except 9-11. The touch screen would not process (no cash back) for debt reguardles of pressure or location. A credit was was good to use after it stopped asking for an exact amount. First time in a long time to have real issue with the self checkout.”

“Cashiers all have an attitude, if you’re below the age of 50 these cashiers feel they can talk to you like a child, raising their voices being disrespectful to customers. Then the store manager him self must be scared cause he allows it he doesn’t try to de-escalate any situation even when a cashier & a customer is yelling in the front of the store at check outs. He just walks away from the situation. When his cashier is yelling and talking badly and even the customer yelling too!”

Jay

“Bashas has been great ever since I was a kid. Great deli, meat department is awesome, produce is always fresh and always happy employees and great customer service as well when returning items or cashing checks they are awesome. I believe they are a 5 star still, but I was torn because they used to have ice cream in their deli department that I had for a treat as a kid, and my kids also had it for treats when we wanted it, but no more ice cream in the deli at least for now unfortunately.”

Joe Schinke

“This bash is dirty high price and the people that work there are not very friendly at all and the donuts were stale and expensive.”

Don Parker

“Nice staff and easy to find everything. Prices are good!”

Holly Temple

“I miss the meat deals but still prices are good staff for the most part is respectful and helpful”

Joy Beadle

“Usually great produce but lately it's been past charitable stage !”

Michael Keys

“One star is generous. CONSUMER BEWARE !!! I do not know who is in charge of purchasing produce. Whoever it is should be fired. From Avocados to Zucchini you will not find poorer quality. These products are not fit for a compost pile let alone a dinner table. On 8/20/2025 I purchased $38.00 worth of assorted fruits and vegetables. Rotten avocado, pithy juiceless peaches and unripe watermelon. All went into the trash, totally inedible. I drove from Show Low hoping to find value in the sale items. I did not return the items as the drive is long. What a waste of my time and money Never again. This store is the worst.”

“Self check out is a disaster. Sale items are confusing to decipher on receipts. Often, one cashier. Long lines. They often do not have sale items in stock. No substitutions. You can get a rain check if you go upfront and ask for the manager but it is only good for 30 days. The produce department consistently has fresh lettuce.”

“Considering it's July 5th they had a lot of product on shelves . When you do come in contact with associates they are friendly and most are helpfu. If you ever need a quick snack or easy meal they have a great brick pizza oven l and the chicken tenders are very good fresh. The rest of the menu in the heat counter a lot of the time looks dried up and not very appealing! I had hoped they would have brought back the ice cream counter but not this season I guess!”

Travis Rowland

“Good selection of meat's reasonable I really like their fresh fruit and vegetables section plus they have fresh seasonings and spices. It's well laid out easy to get around in and good friendly staff”

George Clark

“Grubby old store, meat section is rough. Bakery is good though.”

Scott A R

“Always great staff, clean isles, good prices”

John Power

“They have good fresh produce. The baker's bread is delicious whether is hogies or the jalapeño cheese bread. They have good sales in the meat department aswell!”
