About

Fabuwood Cabinetry Corp makes cabinets out of their spot in Greer. They turn out kitchen cabinetry and related pieces that dealers sell and install for residential jobs. The work covers custom colors and standard lines with options like soft close hardware and plywood boxes. Orders move through retailers rather than direct from the shop.

Homeowners call out cabinets that chip and crack at the seams within months of install even with light use. Paint fails at joints and corners split on multiple doors while finish flakes off with normal contact. Some shipments arrive with broken frames and damaged boxes that force on site fixes or long waits for replacements. Nelson handled one service request but parts still took weeks to show up. A few note the cabinets hold up to spills without warping and keep their look after years of cooking and holidays.

Delivery runs three months or longer in many cases with back orders pushing even further. Replacements depend on the dealer to push through and customer service often directs calls back to the retailer. Response times on damage claims stretch out with repeated requests for photos or maps before any action. The shop works with contractors across different states based on where the jobs land.

The Google rating sits at 4.2 from 707 reviews. Reviewers keep coming back to finish failures and slow fixes on damaged goods while a smaller set mentions solid daily performance and good looks in the finished space. DIRT Score 4.0 from reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

“We paid for Fabuwood cabinets that were marketed as “Elevated Value, quality-made, materially better, from first impression to lasting performance by the best craftspeople and makers in the nation.” What we received started failing within 4 months. These issues began appearing before the countertops were even installed and continued to worsen under normal residential use. These cabinets were professionally installed and have not been subjected to anything outside of standard use. The photos are not exaggerated. This is the actual condition: Paint cracking and breaking apart at seams Wood visibly splitting at joint corners on multiple doors Finish chipping with little to no contact This is not wear and tear. This is premature product failure. What makes this worse is the consistency. This is not one defective cabinet. This is affecting a large portion of the kitchen. Anywhere two pieces of wood meet, the finish is failing and the material is separating. That points to a systemic issue in materials, construction, or finishing not a one-off defect. We specifically chose this line based on how it was marketed. The actual performance does not align with those claims. Cabinets in this ca”

“*Update* 4/13/26: I called Customer Service today per the owner response below. Nelson was very nice, but informed me that any requests to expedite an order must come from the dealer. Our dealer has made many formal requests on our behalf but we're told as of last Friday the 5/5/26 is the fastest we can get our back panel. Hoping the owner will step in on our behalf and get this done. *Update* 4/10/26: Still no urgency from Customer Service as to getting our damaged back panel any sooner than 5/5/26. I really want to believe in this company due to their lovely cabinets. I will continue to remove 1 star for every week this custom reorder is delayed* Beautiful cabinets & great quality. Lead time is ok on standard cabinets. Special orders take a long time, as do replacements. *We received one decorative panel with a large crack. Very disappointed with Fabuwood as our rep is working with company to rush the new back panel so we can complete our kitchen.* They are currently giving us a 7 week lead time. That will be 13 weeks to finish our project which should have been 4-5 weeks. Also a faulty hinge on an appliance garage, but the unit was replaced quickly. The soft close doors & drawe”

“Had these Fabuwood cabinets installed for a while now and they still look brand new and washes well. The two-tone indigo and dove with gold hardware looks amazing, really elevated the whole kitchen. Best part? We had a major water spill inside the under-sink cabinet , the kind of thing that destroys regular cabinet box's. Zero bubbling, zero warping. Just wiped it clean and moved on. If you're comparing Fabuwood to cheaper cabinet brands, don't even hesitate. The quality difference is real and it holds up over time. 10/10.”

“I worked with a designer/sales representative at a retailer to order Fabuwood cabinetry. I received numerous damaged items. The retailer worked to get replacement items from Fabuwood. The “replacements” were only cabinet boxes. The retailer wanted me to uninstall hardware (including drawer slides) from damaged pieces and install into the replacement boxes (which also had damage). I ordered new cabinets, I expected new, undamaged cabinets and Fabuwood along with the retailer never provided them. Furthermore this process took weeks, delaying the project significantly. The retailer stopped responding to my phone calls and emails as I worked to resolve my issues with damaged cabinetry. Fabuwood needs to up their quality control and package all items with rigid cardboard corner protectors to protect their products fro being damaged at the warehouse and/or during shipping. Lastly, Fabuwood and retailers need to rethink their replacement policies. Expecting a consumer to uninstall hardware including drawer slides from damaged items and install them into “replacement” boxes is insane. Good luck installing slides perfectly to factory specifications without templates and jigs. Ultimat”

“DO NOT BUY FROM FABUWOOD CABINETRY. We remodeled our kitchen in 2021 and bought Fabuwood Cabintry through Direct Cabinets in Clark, NJ. In less than 3 years time, our cabinets were chipping and had thin cracks running down most of the doors (see attached photos). I called Direct Cabinets in March of 2024, who told me to take photos and email to them, as per Fabuwood Cabinetry. I sent the photos, and the response I got was “that’s normal wear and tear”. No one from Fabuwood or Direct Cabinets even came out to my house to inspect the doors!! I was furious!! These were not cheap, but the quality of their cabinets are cheap!!! Their customer service is horrible!! Look elsewhere for cabinets, unless you want garbage!!”

“Had my kitchen redone with fabuwood cabinets august of 2024. Less then a year and a half later I have 13 cabinet doors with chipped paint. Multiple doors with cracks in the seams. Contacted the company that did my kitchen, fabuwood says its normal wear and tear. My brother had his kitchen done with Lowe's cabinets and they dont have a single chip 10 years later. Crazy how the you pay for "quality" and get JUNK.”

Breanna LeMay

“You get what you pay for. We got the semi-custom color, pistachio, and the paint job is low quality. We have only had the cabinets a few months and they are chipping all over the place and we can see the white paint underneath, because they just paint over their white cabinets without properly prepping them. We know the paint job is the problem, not us, because we redid our kitchen at our last house with Kemper cabinets in one of their semi-custom colors and we did not have a single chip in 3 years. Fabuwood also promises a shorter lead time, but they ran two weeks late and provided no explanation whatsoever for the delay. Everything other than the pain job and delay is fine, but the chipping paint is a major problem.”

“This is my second experience with Fabuwood cabinets. I used two different contractors. The Company is responsive to the dealer if you say something. This job was supposed to take 4 months. Due to cabinet manufacturer, it’s been 9 months! We haven’t moved in yet, nor used the kitchen/living room cabinets and I find more and more cracks and dents. The quality of material is definitely NOT worth the money. For my mother’s kitchen we used same manufacturer and lost all her China glassware because of the cheap inserts holding the glass shelves. Stay away from these cabinets, I do not recommend especially for custom built projects. All the doors had cracks and the measurements are incorrect. Nine months later we are still waiting for replacements. Too many errors and defects, increased schedule delays and frustrating experience.”

“I waited to provide a review for my Fabuwood cabinets. After 3 months of living with my cabinets and surviving the holidays, I am still in love with the look and quality. The team at Millenium Home Products in Philadelphia were a great partner in completing the finished product.”

“In the midst of removing the old kitchen, the new cabinets aren’t even fully installed yet, and most of them are already damaged—broken and cracked in multiple places. If they’re in this condition before we’ve even had a chance to use them, there’s no way they’ll hold up over time. I sent photos to the Fabuwood support team, but I haven’t received any response. What’s the point of a warranty if they won’t honor it or even provide feedback on defective items? This can’t be chalked up to 'normal wear and tear'—we haven’t even used them yet! Don't use this company please, take your business elsewhere! *UPDATE 3/21/25* I’ve already reached out to your customer support email and received a response. I also brought these damages to the dealer's attention, but they have been dismissive and resistant to offering replacements. As a customer, I did not expect—or accept—receiving damaged items. Shockingly, nothing was mentioned about the damages until we pointed them out. There seems to be a lot of finger-pointing and deflection regarding this so-called "warranty. Dear Tim, Thank you for reaching out, and we apologize for the issues you’ve encountered with your cabinets. As Fabuwood is a ”

“I held off on posting this for months, but after a conversation this morning, I knew it was time. Someone asked if I would recommend any of my kitchen referrals and if I had any regrets. My only regret? Choosing Fabuwood cabinets. They are absolutely awful. The post-install experience has been a nightmare. They hide behind excuses like “normal wear and tear” or “water damage” to avoid taking responsibility. They rejected my photos for the format they were sent in. Then they rejected them again, asking for a layout map. And after all of that, they still fell back on the same excuses to avoid standing behind their product. I cannot emphasize this enough—DO NOT USE this company. See photos below. (For reference, I’ve been dealing with my installer directly and have seen all the back-and-forth emails between them and Fabuwood. It’s been nothing but a frustrating, disappointing experience.)”

“Do not buy from this company. Many of our cabinets arrived chipped, and one has a cracked frame from top to bottom as well as a badly cracked door, and shattered plywood in the side panels. If these were shipped just two states to my home, I don't believe this all moving damage. I think they were junk before they went into the box. There are gaps in the back of the cabinets where the rear wood does not align with the tops and bottoms. The so-called internal cross support beams are loose and wiggly. The dovetail joints that connect the sides to the fronts have 2 mm of play which is shoddily stuffed with a small amount of glue. We were told that the cabinets were all solid wood except for the inset panels. That is a lie. The exposed sides and bottom fronts are trimmed with cheap white laminate over MDF. Indeed, unsealed white laminate MDF at the floor will swell and blister if water on the floor gets into them. An adjuster came out and claimed that chips and damaged edges are "normal". Maybe for him but not for me and not on cabinets that haven't been installed and in rough use for years. Clearly he has *very low* personal standards and should not be working in customer service. “My kitchen looks great, but the delivery times were excruciatingly long, it took 3+ months just for delivery. There were quite a few quality issues with the shipment too, like broken base cabinet, chipped/scratched cabinetry doors that the installer had to fix and touch up on the fly because neither the installer or myself had the patience for delivery times we had to deal with. In summary, we pulled out a great kitchen but I’m unable to give it more that 3 stars as time is everything for me.”

“I am very surprised at some of these reviews and I am most confident that they have had a one off issue. I have been selling Fabuwood cabinetry for 3 years and they have excellent customer service and an excellent product. We sell about 5-8 kitchens per month in just Fabuwood. We sell a number a manufacturers and every manufacturer has some sort of issues from shipping damages or something else and the response time is by far the best and fastest.”

Ryan Lemke

“We have been in our new house for just over 5 years. While there have been issues around the house that we've had to deal with, one area that has been rock solid from day one is the kitchen cabinetry from Fabuwood. It still looks incredible, and we have had zero problems with any functionality. We are very happy that the builder decided to choose Fabuwood, and we recommend it to any friend looking to renovate their kitchen. The team behind Fabuwood also appears to be genuinely kind, and very caring of their product and reputation. Keep up the good work!”

“I ordered my custom color Fabuwood kitchen, it has been over 2 years and alot cooking and alot of use, I still cannot be more happy with the quality of this kitchen and finish. I would 100% recommend these custom color cabinets!”

Martin Fischman

“We had Fabuwood cabinets installed in one our kitchen projects and all I can say is they lived up to their name. It looks fabulous. The quality was exceptional and they offer an amazing selection of options which only added to the functionality and beauty”

“Horrible quality and craftsmanship. We are still renovating and have not even moved in our new apartment and the paint on the cabinets is already cracking. I can only imagine what the kitchen will look like in the next year. We paid thousands of dollars to have quality wood and this is complete garbage. Our old Home Depot kitchen is 11 years old and cost 1/3 the price of this and looks in better shape than this Fabuwood!! I want to literally cry, I am so mad and disappointed that I did not read the google reviews before making this commitment. Do not make the same mistake and run far away from this company. You are better off going to IKEA, Lowes or Home Depot!”

Svetlana Ognianova

“As a designer, I have been very pleased with the styles and finishes that Fabuwood provides in their cabinetry lines (especially the Allure line) and how they continue to come out with new door styles that are great looking and keep up with the changing trends. Having utilized these cabinets on a number of projects, I've been very pleased with the quality and features you get for the cost: Blum soft-close glides and hinges are standard on the Allure cabinetry lines (and probably most others now), full plywood cabinet box construction including the toe kick and shelves (no MDF shelves!), their finishes (paint or stain) are pretty good (and even when you find issues when the order comes in, they are quick to send out replacement products), and lots of sizes and configurations are available for all cabinetry types. All of the door and drawer profiles are birch wood though, so if you're looking for cabinets with a little more wood grain character and or a harder wood (like maple or hickory), they do not have that available. We purchase all of our cabinetry assembled from the factory, so we very rarely have any issues with the quality of the final product and have very few warranty issu”
