“One of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve had with a business. I am an architect and project lead who works on high-end commercial and multimillion-dollar projects on a daily basis. I contacted Reyes Custom Millwork regarding a custom woodworking project and was initially told that someone would call me back. Nobody ever did. After I followed up myself, I eventually received a quote by text message. However, instead of professionally discussing the project or simply explaining that it was not a fit for their scope of work, the conversation became dismissive. I was essentially told that they did not care about my piece because they only do “high-end millwork.” What makes that comment particularly ironic is that I work in the design and construction industry and am very familiar with what high-end millwork actually is. If the project was too small for their business model, a simple and professional explanation would have been completely acceptable. Instead, I was met with an attitude that suggested the project—and by extension the client—was not worth their time. “This company was hired to install a door and he asked for half of the price of the door and installation cost as a deposit. He took my deposit $562.50, and continuously changed the install date. I asked for a refund and he agreed to give it to me. He said he was to busy to drop it off so he would mail it. Two weeks later, I have not heard from him and have not received my refund.
