Southern Cabinets

Southern Cabinets handles cabinet supply and installation work out of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Elber Martine runs the operation with Maureen and Layne handling much of the design and customer contact. They build and fit custom kitchen cabinets along with storage solutions for other rooms, and they add quartz countertops, tile backsplashes, and flooring when the job calls for it. The team also steps in on mobile home remodels where plumbing and electrical work needs coordination with the cabinet install.

Homeowners bring them in when kitchens in older houses or mobile homes lack storage or have awkward layouts that waste space. Crews pull out old cabinets on one day and set new ones the next, then measure for tops and finish the backsplash within a week or two. Jobs often include bathroom vanities to fix poor mirror placement or missing linen closets, plus leveling work on uneven walls so doors and drawers operate right. Reviewers note the cabinets come with solid construction details like dovetail joints and rollout shelves that hold up well.

The crew answers calls promptly and stays reachable by phone while the work moves along. They show 3D renderings before any cutting starts so customers see the layout in advance, then keep the project on schedule and within the agreed price even when extra wiring or pipe moves come up. Service covers the Myrtle Beach area and surrounding spots, with most installs wrapping in a couple of weeks from start to finish and no long gaps between steps.

Reviewers give consistent credit to the quality of the finished cabinets and the steady pace from start to finish. Names like Elber, Maureen, Layne, and John come up often for staying on site, answering questions fast, and making sure everything lines up straight. “We were so impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail we experienced working with Maureen and Elber! We bought an older model mobile home and the kitchen was in need of updating. (See 1st photo). The folks at Southern Cabinets worked up a plan to maximize our space. The cabinets are top quality and installation was scheduled and completed in a timely manner. They took care of everything including the plumbing and electrical that was a little more involved given it was a mobile home. We highly recommend Southern Cabinets!”

“My husband and I are from Virginia and just bought a house in Myrtle Beach and had our new cabinets done by Southern Cabinets. We only have great things to say about the service and quality of their merchandise. We not only had cabinets built with them but also decided that to have them install our quartz countertops as well. We are so pleased with our new home and how it looks thanks to Southern Cabinets and most importantly thanks to Maureen who provided us with her knowledge and wonderful personality to go along with everything else .”

“Highly recommend Southern Cabinets! Maureen and the team did a great job from start to finish. We are very happy with our new kitchen.”

“Southern Cabinets did a wonderful job on my kitchen! It turned out exactly the way I envisioned. Elber, Maureen and his team are a joy to work with. They are very professional and attentive to detail. I would definitely use them again!”

“Elber and Southern Cabinets supplied and installed the cabinetry in our new home. We couldn’t be happier with the time they spent with us during the selection process. Very patient and helpful as we selected, and re-selected our choices. Installation was where the time and effort paid off. Thanks all for making this a really awesome experience. The cabinets look great and operate very well. I’m not the best photographer but hopefully these give you ideas of the quality.”

“I've used Southern Cabinets at my spec house and everything went perfectly. The team was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole process easy. The cabinets quality is excellent and the installation was flawless. I always count on Southern Cabinets for my projects and they never disappoint. Thank you Elber and Layne!”

“Our experience with Southern Cabinets was very positive. Maureen was friendly and enthusiastic about coming up with designs for us. Elber was knowledgeable and very accommodating. Our kitchen walls and ceilings are very uneven. Jhon worked nonstop on three different days to assemble, install, and ensure that our cabinets were level. We have already recommended their services to another couple.”

“I don’t know what the builder was thinking when he designed our bathroom but I absolutely HATED it. No linen closet, not enough storage, lights installed over sinks where we had to lean sideways to see in the mirror, a light & random towel ring (I removed) directly where a mirror should go above the makeup vanity area (lights were hanging out from the walls), a blank wall of wasted space with no outlets & the countertops reminded me of varicose leg veins. I didn’t know who could help us. I googled & found Southern Cabinets. Maureen answered & immediately started working on a plan, even though it was almost closing time. I am elated with the glossy white push-to-close cabinets, floor to ceiling linen closet & makeup vanity. The quality of the materials is next level. Elber lined up someone for lighting, painting, countertops, plumbing, even to repair flooring that was coming up (in our one year old new build). I am SO thankful for Maureen & Elber & the rest of the team at Southern Cabinets! They made my dream a reality & I am looking forward to them working their magic on my laundry room next. 🤍 THANK YOU SOUTHERN CABINETS!”

Their communication was always on point — I never felt left in the dark, and every question I had was answered quickly and clearly. Highly recommend Southern Cabinets of Myrtle Beach, especially if you’re lucky enough to work with Elber and Maureen!”

“Found Southern Cabinets after trying the big box places. Big box wouldn't do it! Anyway, purchased a mobile home with a terrible kitchen. Southern Cabinets (SC) stepped up and worked with me and my concerns to create an absolute stunning plan. SC offers a 3D view of the plan. I was very happy and excited to get started! The remodel only took a couple of weeks. They Installed cabinets, backsplash and flooring. They also took care of the electrial and plumbing issues. The counter top is super nice. Everything looks great. 😃 The final product matched the 3D plan and came in on budget. I highly recommend SC if you are considering that type of work. Give Elbert and his crews a chance, you wont be disappointed!”
