“I have used Columbia Cabinets for all my remodeling projects in my home in Hillsborough. Starting twenty years ago I installed a cherry home office that looks as good today as when it was installed. I used Columbia for our Kitchen remodel, three bathrooms, a Murphy bed system, a bookcase surrounding a fireplace, closet cabinets and even night stands. The finish on all the cabinets is amazing and even after all these years it looks great. The workmanship is top notch and all the hardware is the best. “I have been a Columbia dealer for many years in the San Diego area and I am consistently impressed with the quality of Columbia cabinetry. they have plenty of contemporary and traditional door styles... it's very seldom that our customers can't find what they are looking for. They offer full plywood construction and represent a very good value at their price point. Quality is excellent in general and they have been responsive to any warranty issues that have come up. They are in the semi-custom category and do have a few limitations, but that is to be expected in order for them to hold to their price and lead time structures. I recently had a scratch on one and called Columbia to get advice on how to repair it. Mark listened and instantly understood the situation. He offered to create a repair kit to match the product and ship it to me via courier. If that failed, he was willing to replace the cabinet door. I received a complete repair kit within a couple of days complete with instructions. I applied the marker as directed and it did the trick! The scratch is completely filled in and not visible. “Have used Columbia several times as a home builder and renovator. Their product is the best I have found for the price (which is reasonable). They are a true custom shop as every cabinet is made to size for you. Everything is built on site including all doors and drawers so they control the quality. No problem whatsoever until the other day when a jar slipped and hit the glass door causing a crack. I went to Columbia's website and filled out a contact form. Low and behold I got a call the very next day with an offer to replace the glass in both doors so that they would match as it was a given that glass used 30+ years ago would not be available today. “Hugh Mistake. We made the huge mistake by ordering Columbia cabinets. The experience went from bad to worse. When we finally agreed on a design and we were quote 4-5 weeks and gave our deposit. It was more than 10 weeks before they delivery sub-standard particle board boxes with maple fronts that wear chipped and repainted. I put in about 20 kitchens a year and use RTA cabinet from China. For this job I wanted something better, I got worse than what I normally use with plywood boxes for about twice the price and a long wait that cost me big while the job sat waiting. No attempt to compensate, not a square deal. Don’t do it…”

“Spent US$40,000 on kitchen cabinets. Cabinets came in a poor workmanship. You could see wood joints through the paint. Above fridge cabinets were too wide and thus sagging (had to personally do a work around), Stove hood was out of dimensions (another self workaround). But the worst of all was two 42" cabinets that came from the factory with poor workmanship, cabinet construction was made with thin plywood, the drawers were sagging and a gap in the edge banding in the middle of the left hand cabinet was VERY visible. Called the factory, spoke with local rep and the dealer who sold the cabinet and got the poor response "Concerning the two 42" drawer base cabinets, Columbia does not consider the center sag as a warranty item. Columbia provides these wide drawer base cabinets knowing that the sag can be pulled up to the rough top and counter top eliminating the sag...If the customer wants to cover this small gap he can use the putty stick provided" . I DO NOT recommend to buy Columbia cabinets (although they look good, their customer service is BAD!!!) and do not get fooled they sell them under the Sollera name as well. Bad Craftsmanship!!!”
