West Studio

West Studio runs as a carpentry outfit based in Canutillo, Texas, where the crew builds custom doors, gates, furniture, and cabinets in rustic Western and Southwestern styles. They have handled projects across the El Paso region since 1986, shaping wood by hand to match the dry desert surroundings and local building traditions. The shop focuses on pieces that fit ranch homes and older properties without extra trim or modern shortcuts. Work stays tied to the area’s heritage, with carpenters selecting materials that handle sun exposure and wind common around Canutillo.

In practice they take on site measurements for gates that secure yards against dust and animals, doors that seal against temperature swings, and cabinets sized for kitchens in adobe or frame houses. Furniture gets built to order for living spaces or entryways, finished to show grain and wear evenly. Homeowners around El Paso often request replacements when original wood splits from low humidity, so the crew cuts and assembles on site then installs the same day. Jobs start with a direct call to discuss wood type and layout, then move to shaping, sanding, and hardware fitting that holds up in the local climate.

The dry air and big temperature changes in Canutillo force carpenters to treat wood carefully or pieces crack within a season, which shows up in how long custom gates and doors last through summer heat. Price stays a steady topic because each item takes measured time rather than quick stock parts, and clear talk about options helps match styles to existing homes. Speed on delivery keeps projects from dragging when weather turns. DIRT Score 3.67 from 15 reviews on Finds.
