Southwest fence and deck

Southwest Fence and Deck operates as a family-owned fence contractor out of Carrollton, Texas. They build custom fences, automatic gates, wood decks, patio covers, pergolas, iron work, and full outdoor living spaces. The business has served North Texas homeowners for more than 40 years and covers the Dallas-Fort Worth region including Collin, Denton, and Tarrant counties.

Homeowners describe deck enhancements completed by Jesus and his crew that matched an earlier remodel and held up well over time. Jamie and his team designed and installed backyard fences with gates that opened up usable space, while Cecil handled multiple fence projects and kept the work aligned with owner expectations. Other jobs included patio covers that added shade and function, rolling gates added to existing fences, and complete backyard remodels that turned unused yards into main living areas. Reviewers noted design work that addressed challenging lots and permit steps handled directly by the crew.

Reviewers say the crews stayed in regular contact about schedules and changes, delivered detailed estimates that broke out material and labor costs, and worked through city compliance steps when needed. Projects finished on time with crews described as efficient and attentive to the original plans. The company serves the same North Texas counties listed in their profile and handles both new builds and additions to existing structures.

The Google rating stands at 4.6 from the listed profile data, with review topics centered on design quality, permit handling, and finished results that matched expectations across repeated projects.

“Southwest Deck did our deck when we did our remodel 5 years ago. I’m glad I called Jesus when we wanted to make some enhancements 5 years later. He and his team did an excellent job on the deck enhancements, we are impressed and very appreciative to get this completed and done right, you guys are awesome. Your crew is fantastic, please pass my compliments along to them, I was going to thank them in person but I was gone when they left.”

“Southwest fence and deck did a fantastic job on my backyard remodel. They were very professional and kept me up to speed on the progress and scheduling of the project. Jesus worked with me on any options and his crews installed the job per design. I could not be happier.”

“Jamie and his team designed and installed a sweet fence and gate in my backyard! They were fast and professional and very reasonably priced!”

“Southwest did an awesome job of expanding our fence and adding a rolling gate. It really opened up our backyard. They were diligent through the whole process and listened to our thoughts and provided their expertise. The fence looked amazing once they finished.”

“Hey, I came across your page and wanted to ask something quickly. If someone wanted pricing or availability, what's usually the best way to get started? I was looking through your content and wasn't completely sure whether people normally DM, email, or book through another process. Just curious. Thanks!”

“Southwest Fence & Deck installed a patio cover for us which turned out fantastic. The crew was very professional and efficient. We are very pleased with the finished product”

“Southwest Fence & Deck installed a patio cover for us at our home. We were very impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. We have been very please with out patio cover.”

“This is our second experience with SW Fence and Deck. It’s been 3 years since the deck was installed and it still looks great. From the concept thru final installation Jamie, Amber and the whole team were top notch. We have a challenging location but with a few design interations and persistent work with the city on compliance and permits, the result is stunning. We enjoy the deck year round and it’s a very complementary feature to the rest of the house. The whole neighborhood loves the result and we do too! Thanks SW Fence and Deck!”

“Jamie with Southwest Fence & Deck is literally the best contractor that I’ve ever worked with. They exceeded all of my expectations, from the initial design phase, and then construction, Jamie went over and above what was expected in every way. I can’t recommend Southwest Fence & Deck highly enough. I’ve been an insurance for 20 years, and Jamie carries more than adequate insurance. Ask his competitors if they carry Worker’s Comp. insurance on their employees! Jamie certainly does.”

“If you need a pool shed built, look elsewhere. This is what SF&D built for us. It is not even a year old. They did build us a nice pergola. Too bad they haven't been back since last year to finish painting it.”

“The Team at SW Fence and Deck are the best of the best! I have used their services for multiple fences . My job requires a lot of interaction with multiple trades in Construction Management. There is no one else we trust with our business. They are Competent Caring Craftsmen that are a step ahead of the competition. Cecil has been our contact and he knows what we expect and Cecil delivers! If you are shopping for a fence or other outdoor project do yourself a favor and hire the best! “The Landscape Project was via Design Out, LLC (Kevin Emery). The scope was for the rear and side yards which included sod and border removal with reinstallation of plant bed and tree borders, stepping stone path with rock/gravel and synthetic turf including drainage and sprinkler improvements. The estimates and designs were detailed with accompanying 3D images perfect for HOA submission. The crew's worked diligently from start to finish with attention to detail resulting in a beautiful product.”

“SW Fence & Deck added a cover to our existing outdoor patio to create an outdoor living area. All aspects were taken care of through them as we didn’t have to schedule the contractors, deal with the permits, etc. Love our finished product and the extra shade! Had a couple of minor items come up and they were taken care of promptly. Excellent communication and customer service.”

“Southwest Fence did a fantastic job replacing my fence. Jamie, the owner, personally reviewed my existing fence and developed the estimate. He made sure he had the proper permits (one of his competitors told me a permit wasn’t needed!), used West Texas cedar, had a wrought Iron solution for a small area, and provided a detailed estimate with the costs clearly broken out. I received bids from two other fence companies, but they were not the same level of professionalism, the material source was unclear, and did not break out what they were going to do at the same level of detail. Southwest Fence was the clear choice for me. The references I checked provided ringing endorsements. I found SWF easy to work with and flexible. They could have been a bit more responsive during the project at returning text/emails (the staining company SW uses never followed up so I did not hire them for staining), but at the same time all of the few concerns/questions I had with the fence were taken care of without me having to ask twice. I was astounded at the meticulous nature of the installation team which worked to ensure their work was exact. They were constantly measuring and leveling t”
