About

Irving Counter Inc handles countertop work out of Irving, Texas as a family owned outfit that has served North Texas since 1962. They install granite and natural stone, quartz from brands such as Cambria, Corian and Daltile, laminate, solid surface and butcher block for islands and tops. The company also takes on commercial jobs, custom fireplace surrounds and wall systems plus custom designed tops. They offer free measures to price installations and cover the Greater DFW metroplex plus some surrounding areas with over 200 years of combined experience on staff.

Customers describe kitchen and bathroom countertop replacements along with vanity tops and rolling islands. Some jobs included sink supply and plumbing hookups in one visit. Reviewers noted clean installs with good seams and material advice that helped pick the right options. A few mentioned extra work on remnants for antique pieces or small add ons at no charge. Others ran into wrong backsplash cuts, gaps at cabinets, chips after a year and a half or side splashes cut too tall. Names that came up in reviews include Randy, John and Marvin for long term dealings.

They schedule measures and installs that often run through Nebraska Furniture Mart, Home Depot or Lowe's. Pricing came across as competitive in many cases though some jobs added charges for upper floor delivery or extra square footage. Response times varied with some crews arriving late or missing follow up appointments while others kept scheduled times and answered questions by phone or email. Service stays in the Greater DFW area and staff sometimes used excess material to avoid new charges on small pieces.

The Google rating sits at 3.9 with reviews that often praise install quality, material options and direct dealings yet also flag measurement mistakes, missed callbacks and occasional gaps or finish issues.

What Customers Say

“We recently completed a small countertop project with Irving Countertops, and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. From the initial consultation to the final installation, their team was professional, courteous, and responsive every step of the way. Even though our project was relatively small, they treated it with the same level of attention and care as a much larger job. The craftsmanship was outstanding, the installation was flawless, and the finished product exceeded our expectations. Their pricing was also very competitive, providing exceptional value without sacrificing quality. It's refreshing to work with a company that delivers exactly what they promise and takes pride in their work. Based on our experience, Irving Countertops has earned our trust and future business. They are now our go-to provider for countertops, cabinets, and any future remodeling projects. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship, fair pricing, and exceptional customer service.”

Joe Magana

“I have used Irving Counter Top several times over the past twenty years. I love the customer service, the quality of the product and install and I highly recommend this company!”

Jo Ann Goin

“Disappointed in the sloppy work done. First round they measured backsplash wrong. Cut another piece that doesn’t match. The work in the seems is horrible. Supervisor won’t commit to a time to meet with me and has not shown up twice. I have a job and sat here waiting. Apparently Nebraska furniture contracts them. Avoid.”

Jay McQueen

“The countertops chipped after a year and a half, but the warranty only covered one year from the installation date. I should have invested more and gone with a more reputable company instead of these guys. Your experience might differ, so good luck.”

“I am loving my new counter from ICT! I like that they had sinks and could also hookup the plumbing so it was done all at once. The process was seamless and required very little of my time to get the job done. I would use them again.”

“I’ve had Irving countertop do work on my kitchen and then bathrooms a few years later and on both projects they have done a great job good price and am very satisfied with their work.”

“Missed appointments to measure. Cut countertop wrong. Can Not get a callback from them on when they are scheduled to finish. Poor customer service I”

“Saddened to hear about the passing of Marvin. 🙏🏽. I met ICT back in the 80’s when I started designing kitchens for Home Depot. Worked closely with Randy and John. Now 40 odd years later, I am still in the game. Only the best for this family and company! Blessing always. Bell Smith Rid Interior Designer.”

“Irving Counter Top did an excellent job. They installed a new vanity top in our guest bathroom. It is beautiful. They educated and advised us on materials which was very helpful. Appointments were kept as scheduled. Very professional and easy to work with. We will use them again.”

Ann Gillespie

“Avoid. Got a quote through Nebraska Furniture Mart and Irving Countertop was sent out. They quoted me 11 more sq than what was necessary. Another company did the job for 1000+ less.”

“Irving Countertop was very helpful from sales to installation for my laminate countertops. Everything went very, very well from start to finish. The plumber redid all the piping under the sink and now I have so much more room! After my initial order, I wanted the same countertop on a small, rolling kitchen island. They came back to measure it and were able to use an excess /cut-off piece to make it. No extra charge! I was extremely pleased. It was great to deal directly with the supplier rather than going thru Home Depot, Lowes, NFM or others. Glad I did the legwork to find them! I will use the again if the need comes up.”

“We ordered our kitchen counter tops through Lowe's. After selecting our slabs and waiting weeks, we were finally contacted to install. The 2 men who arrived spoke no English as I speak no Spanish so we had an issue from the start. We were told due to our bar top over hang we needed braces to properly hold the slab. We had custom braces made, the installer claimed he did not know how to install braces, made numerous holes in the wall attempting. I had to call me partner home from who speaks Spanish to help. Several attempts to contact Randy Randall with Irving Counter Tops went unanswered. Installer broker one of the rails to one of the drawers, also bent a cooper cold water pipe, which we had to pay to have fixed. I finally insisted they leave, we had to hire another contractor to complete the job. Please do not hire this company there are other qualified companies that will do the job paid to do. We have yet to here from Mr. Randall to resolve our issues.”

“They did a good job. Installers were friendly and professional, worked clean and covered the walking and working surfaces. I placed my order through Nebraska Furniture Mart, who apparently never sent the order to this company and 6 weeks later I had to track it down manually. Person at Irwin Counter top was very helpful and understanding, tracked it down and put me in front of the line for the cut and installation (like 5 days). Some folks who answer the phone are rough around the edges, so bear that in mind - look for what person is saying and not how its being said lol. Nature of installation does require use of epoxy and calking, and if you cant stand the strong smell of adhesives, wait until dissipates, turn on the fan, it will be completely gone in 2 days. Overall, they did a good job.”

“I worked with Irving Countertops as a contractor through Nebraska Furniture Mart and had a satisfactory experience with them. No problems really and I love how things turned out. LOVE. Because I was working with a contractor on my own for some other things, my plans changed a couple times. Irving was flexible with me, and ended up coming out a couple times to make sure we got all the measurements right. They ended up creating something for an old antique we had from the remnants of our quartz slab, which was above and beyond. Our contact at Nebraska was really essential to our whole project too, which may have been a factor in some other people's experiences. Our NFM rep was really detail oriented and made sure things went smoothly. Thanks.”

“STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I ordered my kitchen countertops through Home Depot. An individual came to take the measurements and in a month's time their guys came to install the countertops. They did it but when I came back from work and inspected the installation and found out that there were gaps between the countertop and the cabinets and squirted silicon all over the place. I called the company and talked to a representative who told me that this was the way they install their countertops. I called back and talked to a manager and scheduled an appointment for him to come and see the quality of installation. On the day of the appointment he did not show up. Then I called Home Depot and talked to several managers including the general manager and I told them what the situation was. Turned out Home Depot guys considered the gaps as cosmetics. After going back and forth between Irving Countertops and Home Depot for several months and waiting for them to fix the problem I got frustrated from waiting and nothing got done I fixed it myself. You've been warned!”

“They did a good job installing the counters. They were 4 hours late from the time they said theyd be there. The side splashes were not cut to the proper size. They stick up on the sides which prevents me from putting the mirror I have back on the wall in its original position. They charged me more because they said I "mis-measured" the size of the counters originally. Then I was also charged an extra $150 for bringing the laminate counters up to thr 2nd floor. I contacted Home Depot and they said because its on the 2nd floor it's an additional charge. Home depot waived the fee, which I was told had never been charged to anyone else before. When they came to install one person carried them up, as I knew they could. This experience has me questioning if I should do any project through HD again, especially if it's this company they're contracting with. I'm pleased that they installed them (which was something I could of done myself) but every thing else that led up to it and the final results have me less than satisfied.”

“We purchased counter tops from Lowes, someone came out and measured, then a few weeks later they came out and installed the tops. The measurements showed an opening of 30" but after they were installed and I had already sold our old stove found out the space really wasn't 30" and stoves are now 30" so we have been without a stove for 5 weeks and all we do is get the run around. We need them to come out and FIX the problem but they will never call us back and Lowes is no help at all!!”

“Irving Countertops did a great job at our home this last week. Beautiful installation. Staff communicative. Timely with updates. Very pleased!!!!”

Melissa Koke

“Irving Countertops was suggested to me through someone I bought my cabinets from and I couldn't be happier. They had exactly what I wanted, very fair pricing and the team was SO easy to get in contact with. Prompt response to all questions & emails, followed by a phone call. Our countertops look lovely and honestly, I've never seen a better "seam". We have 2 bathrooms we're gutting that will need countertops as well, and you can bet the only place I'll be calling is Irving Countertops.”

Jennifer

“Irving Counter Top made the experience of getting my new quartz island counter top easy and painless. They were friendly, on time and efficient. They did an amazing job. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy.”
