Settler Construction

Settler Construction operates as a carpenter and general contractor from its base at 1420 Avenue F in Lubbock, Texas. The family-owned company was established in 1974 and continues under Brad Settler, who works alongside Mr. Settler to deliver residential and commercial services. These include handyman tasks, painting, roofing, cabinet making, and both kitchen and bathroom remodeling under the approach of handling projects from start to finish.

Customers have described jobs such as year-round handyman support, full home rebuilds after fire damage with insurance coordination to maximize available funds, custom cabinet work to blend new ovens into an existing kitchen layout, garage conversions that added desks and shelves, office remodel projects, and roof replacements that fixed overlooked damage while matching pipe colors to shingles. Technicians including Greg and Brad handled measurements for precise fits, made adjustments on site, and addressed edge details to improve water runoff.

Reviewers noted that the team kept clients informed at each stage, worked directly with insurance assessors, delivered estimates that identified future risks another firm had missed, and finished jobs while leaving yards clear of debris. Service reaches West Texas locations, with emphasis on client input for material selections and costs, along with professional conduct that put even apprehensive homeowners at ease during the work.

The available feedback shows a 4.3 rating, with most accounts pointing to solid craftsmanship, clear updates, and fair pricing while a smaller number raised concerns over professionalism or unfinished details.

“Best Company Hands Down!!! They do handyman services for me year round, fast and great. They remodeled my Fire Damaged Home, my home was completely ruined. Settler Construction worked with my insurance company and got us the most out of the money to rebuild my home back. Our home is immaculate and we are so grateful to Settler Construction, they really treat you like family!”

“Settler Construction is Awesome, Excellent Craftsmanship, Responsible. They make your dreams for your projects come true. They work with you on everything, they talk to you and let you choose every option from material, costs and pricing. I highly recommend this company.”

“Settler's did a custom cabinet for us and the work was excellent. We were replacing double ovens but needed the new and much larger cabinet to blend with our somewhat eclectic kitchen ( he was even able to cut down the upper cabinet above the ovens, so they blended seamlessly). Greg was awesome, he was not going to install the ovens so had to make sure that the the dimensions were perfect. Great company (and the price was very reasonable). Thank you Settler, I would definitely use for future projects.”

“Settler Construction did an excellent job roofing my house. Mr. Settler was thorough in his replacement estimation, finding damage to the roof which another company had missed that would have created other problematic situations in the future. The edge around the roof was improved so that water will not easily collect, causing damage. The pipes on the roof match the shingle color which make a big difference. Any damage on the roof was completed successfully with no loss of time. The construction crew wasted no time on the job. When finished, they left the yard neat with no nails or debris to be found. Mr. Settler answered any questions and was also helpful with my insurance assessor. His office staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I know I can depend on them if needed, in the future.”

“Settler Construction converted half of my garage into a sewing room. I love the results beautiful cabinets, built in desk, lots of shelves etc. you would never know it was once a garage. It was like working with family. Everyone was friendly, courteous and checked frequently to be sure it was what I wanted.”

“I'm a disabled woman that lives alone. I was apprehensive about having someone in my home. They were very professional and made me comfortable with their work, by keeping me well informed and even walking me through the process. I could not be happier. Thank you Greg for being patient with me. Sincerely Ms.Vasquez.”
