Saltwater and Sawdust Woodworking LLC

Saltwater and Sawdust Woodworking LLC runs carpentry work out of Pearland, Texas. Christopher handles the shop, which focuses on custom cabinets, built-ins, and fine furniture for homes across the greater Houston area. They take on kitchen and bathroom projects along with finish carpentry and one-of-a-kind pieces. The business is veteran-owned, and customers work directly with the person building each project from the first talk through final install.

Customers have had Christopher build office cabinets and shelves, a custom ash desk, shelving units with push-close doors and printer trays, closet drawers, kitchen cabinet draws and bookcases, floating shelves, and repairs to existing cabinets. Others got custom cutting boards, charcuterie boards, laundry room makeovers with shelves and folding tables, dining table refinishing, and large barn-style tables. Christopher also made one hundred custom boards for a business and a ring holder for travel ball use.

Work happens on schedule with steady communication throughout, including updates and sample checks. Pricing stays reasonable, and the workspace stays clean after each job. They adjust to client schedules and handle projects from design to installation across the Houston region.

Reviews give top marks for the quality of the builds and the straightforward approach. Topics that come up often include the attention to detail, honest dealings, and how the finished items fit the space and hold up over time.

“I recently reached out to Christopher with Saltwater & Sawdust Woodworking to build some cabinets and shelves in my office. From start to finish, his craftsmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism were superb. The custom built-ins completely transformed my office and exceeded every expectation I had. I also asked him to build a custom ash desk and I couldn’t be more pleased as it’s exactly what I envisioned. Every detail throughout the build was carefully thought out, and the quality of the work was exceptional. The installation was flawless, the workspace was left spotless, and the entire project was completed with skill and precision. I couldn’t be happier with the finished space as he absolutely nailed the vision I had. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for beautiful custom cabinetry. His workmanship is second to none, and I would absolutely hire him again for future projects.”

“I saw some of Christopher’s work at a neighbors house and reached out to him to make some shelving for my office. I have used the big brand companies before and wanted to use a local independent company. I’m glad I chose Saltwater and Sawdust. I sent Christopher a picture of what I wanted and he gave me that and more! He stopped by several times to show me paint samples and to make sure we were on the same page as far as design. I didn’t want door handles so he installed push close doors and also a sliding tray for my printer. I would definitely use and recommend Saltwater and Sawdust again!”

“Had an awesome experience designing and working with Chris for some custom closet drawer pieces. He was on the dot with his timeline and his work is just amazing! Thanks so much Chris!!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Anderson at Saltwater and Sawdust. He is professional, friendly, communicates throughout the process, and does great work. He built and installed kitchen cabinet draws as well as two bookcases to flank my fireplace. I have also purchased two of his beautiful cutting boards. Couldn't be happier with his work. 2/25/26- Had to come back an edit my review. My husband and I hired Christopher again to update our kitchen with cabinet trim and new paint. I am beyond thrilled with how it turned out. As always, Christopher was professional and worked beyond expectation. My only regret is not having him do it sooner.”

“Chris is an excellent craftsman! We wanted more cabinets and open cabinets enclosed. He listened and did exactly what we requested. The existing and new blend perfectly.”

“Chris does great work! Made me custom cutting board and charcuterie board that I get lots of compliments on! Will work with Chris again. Update 12/1/2023 Chris helped me design our laundry room makeover adding floating shelves, cabinet shelves and folding table. We are very happy with how it turned out! Chris continues to do quality work at a reasonable price and is great to work with! Check out the before, during and after photos and video. Very clean and sharp look and have already received many compliments! I highly recommend Chris for your woodworking projects!”

“Had floating shelves done in our office, kitchen wall and from entryway. Now we can put our family photos around the home. Love it! Chris is very professional and personable. He also kept us updating on the progress throughout. Thanks Chris!”

“Top: BEFORE/Bottom: AFTER Chris truly went above and beyond. Our kitchen cabinet was barely still attached to the wall so we knew it needed to be repaired but we did not want to do a full kitchen remodel at this time. Chris rebuilt the cabinets using high quality materials then repurposed our cabinet doors and trim so that it matched the rest of our kitchen perfectly. It truly looks seamless, even down to the paint color, but with drastically improved quality which is exactly what we wanted. Chris then went the extra mile by adding remote control lights beneath the cabinet. We could not be more satisfied with the excellence, durability, affordability, and integrity of Chris and his work. HIGHLY recommend!”

“Chris did an outstanding job refinishing and weatherproofing our family dining table, which has been passed down for generations. He sanded it down, applied a beautiful darker stain, and sealed it to protect against sunlight, rain, and temperature changes. We have more projects in mind for our home, and we’re excited to have him as our go-to woodworker!”

“Chris was awesome to work with! We had asked for a very specific build that included building into an existing shelf and he embraced our idea. He was great at setting expectations and communicating throughout the process. We love our new shelves!”

“The perfect arches were made for our picnic service! They also work well for backyard party extras or event decor! Super Easy to connect and decorate!”

“Chris is thoughtful and thorough. We really appreciated his attention to detail. He listened to what we wanted and collaborated with us to make sure we were happy with the final product.”

“I am very pleased with my custom cutting board made by Chris. If you want quality woodwork made to last then look no further than Saltwater and Sawdust Woodworking!”

“Chris is great. He is skilled and perseverant. All around great person. He understood what we wanted and executed it to perfection.”

“Saltwater and sawdust woodwork did an excellent job on our laundry room request. Chris was very easy to communicate with and worked around our work schedules to make sure our laundry room was complete prior to our baby shower! We already have and will continue to recommend saltwater and sawdust! Thanks again, Arias Family”

“Highly recommend!!! Chris has been so helpful for every need we’ve ever had. He’s built out entire kitchen cabinets for us, he’s built out entire bathroom cabinets for us, he’s fixed trim, he’s replaced doors & handles & even built tables for us. He’s about to start building our dining room table too. Top of the line work, decently priced, great communication and honesty. He also has great contacts to provide if there’s something he cannot do or if it’s out of his line of work. We have plans to have him redo our cabin in east Texas & also do work to our unfinished bathroom in our home.”

“Chris provided my building with 100 custom charcuterie boards for our tenant Christmas gift. He worked with us to make sure the design was exactly what our team was looking for and got all 100 boards to use just in time to make the perfect gift. All of our tenants have loved their custom boards.”

“My daughter plays travel ball and need a ring holder. Saltwater and Sawdust did an amazing job!!! Service was timely and exceed my expectations. I higly recommend them”

“With a big family and moving into a new house my wife wanted a barn style table that sits 8-10 people. Mr. Anderson not only build us a beautiful custom table but also communicated with us throughout the entire process. Being out of state Mr. Anderson also built a shipping crate that made it easy to ship, unload, and assemble with little to no work. A year later the table is still just as the day we picked it up and looking to stay that way for years to come. The professionalism, kindness, and communication makes Mr. Anderson and Saltwater and Sawdust Woodworking LLC a great chose for whatever you need built. We also purchased a custom cutting table with 5.56 and 9mm rounds that was so beautiful we use only use it for display, not wanting to risk wear and tear. Overall you can’t go wrong with choosing Mr. Anderson and Saltwater and Sawdust Woodworking LLC.”
