“One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a handy Man. Was expecting 2. Only 1 shows up. Didn’t have a ladder for the job. He came back with one person next day. Still without the correct ladder for the job. I had to borrow ladder from neighbors and have them do the job. This guy went up the ladder without a drill bit. Even over telling him he needs 2 different drill bits. He went up with one. And came down. Went to his van to bring another drill bit. Never seen anyone climb up 20ft ladder without all the tools needed. It’s a 2 hour booking. He wanted to spend all the time with one job. It was unbelievable when he said let me stop the clock after one hour when he still didn’t have the right ladder for the job. Never hire them again.”

“I was able to quickly make an appointment with Mr handyman. He changed out 3-piece shower hardware in 3 bathrooms, explained and fixed problems in efficient time frame. Tidy, efficient, and knowledgeable”

“Gilbert Z. was sent as our maintenance tech. Nice guy, very professional and polite, and highly capable. We had several things that needed to be repaired (drywall tape on wall/ceiling pulled loose, sink drain replaced, cracked tile fixed, dry rotted outdoor drum rotted). He did a great job on all of those. Since we had some time left, my wife asked him to fix a pull up shade that hadn’t worked in years. He quickly disassembled it, reset the springs, and it works like new. We’re selling our home and if a buyer’s inspection shows the need for repairs, we’ll be calling and asking for Gilbert again to complete the repairs.”

“What a nightmare working with this company. To be clear, this is not about the workers who actually did the job, they were great and very professional. The real problem is the company’s administration, which is completely disorganized and unprofessional. From the beginning, I clearly explained what needed to be fixed. They explained the fees, which were already expensive, and I agreed. They were supposed to send someone at 11:00 a.m., but instead called me at 1:30 p.m. to say the job (attaching the kitchen sink) could not be done by one person and that they would need to send two people, of course, charging more. At that point, I felt I had no choice but to accept. When the handyman arrived, he told me that the office made the job sound much more difficult than it actually was and that it did not require two people. Since both workers were already there and the holidays were the next day, I didn’t want to send one of them away without work, so I allowed both to stay. The job was completed, I paid with a check, at that moment since of course they would not leave the house without payment, and that was the end of it…or so I thought. “We had two rooms in our house (master bedroom and home office) painted two days after we moved into a new build. First, they didn’t let us know they were running out of paint until the last minute, claiming they would need to come back the next day. I went ahead and finished myself since I was not going to pay more for them to come back out after seeing the poor work that was already done. There is paint on my brand new wood floors. There is paint on the ceilings and the lines are awful. I would expect a better taping job to prevent this coming from a professional. It was $1600 well wasted. The only good thing is how polite the staff was while here.”

“I bought 3 chandeliers from Wayfair, but turned down the installation service because I didn't want them to burn my house down. I wanted to pick someone with a good Yelp rating. Of all the businesses I contacted on Yelp this was the only one that responded promptly, professionally, and seemed to know what they were talking about. My installers showed up right on time and listened carefully to what I wanted because I had some strange requests. I needed one chandelier replaced which was in a ceiling over 20 feet up. I needed another replaced in the nook. And the third was in a spot that had no existing light at the top of the stairs. They had to cut a new hole and run a special wire to a new switch in the wall nearby. Everything was done in less than 3 hours and they didn't break anything, which was seriously a miracle because the chandeliers had all sorts of crystal cups and flowers and stuff sticking out of them every which way.”
