AHC Painting & Remodeling

AHC Painting & Remodeling works out of San Antonio, Texas as carpenters who take on home projects that mix woodwork with painting and updates. They handle residential jobs across the city and nearby areas like Boerne and Canyon Lake, where older homes often need trim fixes and structural repairs before any finish work goes on. The crew focuses on practical carpentry that holds up in Texas conditions, from replacing damaged boards to building custom outdoor structures that match what homeowners want. Their approach stays straightforward with on-site coordination that keeps things moving without extra steps.

Cory Johnson leads the team with Nate and Jeff handling the day-to-day carpentry and paint work. They repaint full houses while fixing wood rot, upgrading trim, and swapping out old soffit cladding or wrought iron posts that no longer fit. One job involved lifting a front porch awning to refresh the whole front, while another had them replacing boards on a home during peak summer heat. The same group built a modern poolside cabana and pergola after the owner shared photos of the style, making sure the wood framing and details lined up with the new pool setup. They also pulled in gutter work when needed and kept the office side handled so schedules stayed on track.

Homeowners keep pointing to the crew's steady pace on bigger fixes, the clean results on wood repairs, and clear talks about what each step costs upfront. The team earns marks for showing up ready in tough weather and finishing details that last without callbacks. Quality shows in how they match old trim to new sections and handle mixed tasks like cladding removal plus paint in one visit. DIRT Score 3.33 from 10 reviews on Finds.

“Cory Johnson and his painting team (Nate and Jeff) did an outstanding job on the repainting of our house. We really appreciated their attention to detail. Cory also helped coordinate several other aspects of the project, such as wood repair and trim upgrades, which was well handled, even during some difficult winter weather. Great job!”

“Very impressed with Cory Johnson and team. These folks deserve special mention: Cory worked with us in planning and coordinating the AHC Gutter Team. Connie (Mrs Johnson) pleasantly worked with us from the office. Nate tirelessly worked to paint our home, replacing old wood. Very hotTexas Weather. Nate was friendly, prepped and painted our home. We were both impressed and would like to work with Nate and the AHC gutter team in the future. Placement of the gutters was by Jacob and Daniel. Professional and always upbeat as they worked in the Texas Heat. An Excellent Job performance by Nate, Jacob & Daniel. We highly recommend AHC Gutter and Painting service to others and would use them again as required. Thanks.”

“Our home looks fantastic thanks to American Hill Country Painting and Remodeling! Cory Johnson and his team, Jeff and Nate, worked tirelessly to give our home a much needed update. Before painting our home, they removed old soffit aluminum cladding, wrought iron posts, lifted our front porch awning to reveal original molding over our front door, and replaced the old wrought iron posts with beautiful wood columns. New gutters were also added. We had countless questions about some of these changes, and they were always professional, courteous, and patient, answering every question to our satisfaction. - sometimes more than once! All three men take great pride in their work, and it shows – we totally love our home’s new look!”

“Cory and his team were absolute professionals to work with during planning / design of our Pool Side Custom Cabana and Pergola. I provided many pictures of the type of look that I desired that would complement our new pool, (modern/contemporary style). Very different from what you typically see in this type build. Cory and his team exceeded my expectations, he has an artistic eye for style and both structures have given my pool area the look I had imagined, I would not change anything about it. Not only was the look spot on but the build quality is second to none, heavy duty / high quality material was used that will provide years of enjoyment for our family and friends, no corners cut at all. Cory's pricing was more than reasonable, more so now than initially after seeing the finished product. Its great to finally find an honest local small business that does high quality work, I look forward to future projects with AHC Painting & Remolding. I can assure anyone, you cannot go wrong with this company. Mike & Tracy San Antonio, TX”

“AHC Painting and remodeling did a fantastic job rebuilding and painting our soffit and fascia boards around our home. We hired them to replace our gutters, which they have also done, and in the process we found lots of rotten and damaged wood along the eaves under the 30+ year old cladding. The team did a beautiful woodworking job and their painting skills are superior. Their overall cost is very reasonable for the craftmanship they provide. This is a family owned company and everyone we dealt with treats you with the utmost respect and kindness, not to mention they hold to a high standard of integrity. They are in constant communication with you, they are prompt careful of your property. You cannot do any better.”
