HL Construction Services

HL Construction Services handles carpentry and related work out of Sugar Land, Texas as a family owned outfit. Erick Lopez runs the company and they take on interior and exterior renovations and repairs, concrete pours, painting inside and out, fence work, roofing, pressure cleaning, framing, gutter installs, deck and patio jobs, landscaping and similar tasks for homes and commercial spots. They source materials locally when possible and aim to make fixes and updates that hold up over time.

Customers have brought them in for patio extensions that blend with the existing house, vanity updates handled by Erik and Walter, interior repairs, hanging heavy mirrors, swapping smoke detectors on tall ceilings, room painting and door fixes. Some note the crew handled extra steps beyond the basic request and delivered results that met or beat what was expected on those home jobs.

Reviewers mention Erick stays reachable by phone and the team often came in at a lower price point than other outfits while finishing projects on residential properties. A few others report trouble getting callbacks after the first contact and feeling the final charges ran higher than planned for the scope.

The record includes a Google rating of 3.9 from six reviews with feedback covering solid finishes on repairs and builds alongside complaints about follow up and costs. DIRT Score 1.9 from 6 reviews on Finds.

“This was suppose to be a surprise for my Mom…. Well I was just as surprised! They went over and beyond of what was required of them. Very professional and we are well PLEASED 😀 💕”

“I am so proud of the way my vanities turned out. Erik and Walter went above and beyond the task. They truly believe in putting customers first and satisfied with the service. I recommend them”

“UNPROFESSIONAL experience with Erick Lopez. I contacted Erick to change some lights for me on my high ceiling by using a scaffold. We both agreed to the services to be performed with the price. I followed up with him after he got back on vacation and never responded back to me after multiple attempts. I decided to call him and it went to voicemail right away. I’m assuming he blocked my number and didn’t want to perform the service as agreed upon which was truly pathetic of him.”

“Incredible team. Not only were they the cheapest, they were the most professional team I found. They made my patio extension look like it was always a part of the house and exceeded my expectations. Their owner Erick is very professional and very easy to get a hold of. Will be my go to construction and home project company going forward.”
