About

Patrick Electric Service Inc operates as electricians based in Amarillo, TX. They form part of Patrick Companies and focus on electrical repairs and installations for homes and businesses across the area. The outfit provides round the clock emergency response for power outages and line damage no matter the day or hour. Homeowners and commercial property owners alike reach them for fixes that keep buildings running when something electrical breaks down in the Texas panhandle climate. They also handle new work like parking lot pole setups and give free estimates on those projects when called.

Electricians from the company respond to calls for damaged power lines such as the time a delivery truck knocked one out at a local business and city crews cut service. They worked through the repair so the utility could reconnect everything the next morning and limit downtime. Jobs include swapping outlet boxes where plans shift from four plugs to two and adding parts as needed during the visit. Service covers residential and commercial buildings with 24 hour availability seven days a week for any electrical trouble that hits suddenly. Crews show up to restore water heat or power in full buildings but the approach includes charging separately for drive time on in town calls and labor on any added work.

Some customers point to fast arrivals and professional handling that gets power back online quickly after big hits like truck damage or repeated service calls that meet expectations on timing. Repeat users note solid value when the job stays straightforward and the crew goes beyond basic fixes. Other feedback highlights problems with hourly rates that stack drive time on top of on site work plus extra charges when scope changes mid job leading to totals over a thousand dollars without clear upfront talk. Price and communication draw the most consistent complaints while speed earns occasional credit. DIRT Score 2.43 from 18 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Was not aware I would be paying $95/hour for drive time in addition to actual service time. That should be included in the price for jobs that are in town. Ended up paying way more for a small job than I wanted. This should have been made clear when I asked about pricing. Definitely won't use again.

Guy showed up on my curb with music blasting. Brought his boom box and had loud music playing all day. We had talked about a 4 plug box afterwards it was only 2. When I asked he said it's an easy swap but I'll have to charge parts and labor. Not laughing after I had already paid 1183.45. And had a hole drilled into my sidewalk for good measure. Never use this company again. Wish I could leave no stars.

Thank goodness for this company! A delivery truck hit our power line on our business and the city had to cut the power. These guys came out and worked to get everything repaired and ready for Excel to get us connected and up and going the next morning. This could have been so much worse had they not been there, thank you so much!

I have used these great guys more than 3 times and each time they get the job done professionally and are always there quicker than most other similar businesses. Plus they offer great value and go the extra mile that you are satisfied. I can’t say enough about them. Definitely recommend them for any electrical service you may need. Lord bless this business and all of their employees.

I've been double charged because the initial person who repaired an outlet as part of a larger job failed to document that outlet on the receipt (as well as failing to fix the outlet). When that outlet again failed a week later and I called Patrick out to fix it, I was charged for an hour of labor since it hadn't been initially documented. A supervisor promised to look into it, but I notice now 2 weeks later that that second $70 check has also now been cashed. This strikes me as incredibly shady and a poor way of doing business, especially to net only another $70 and lose a customer for life. Stay clear, there are plenty of other electrical companies.
