About

Avalon Electric works out of Bastrop, Texas as a specialty contractor that handles electrical jobs across the local area. They joined the Procore network in April 2024 and have completed one project valued at seven hundred six thousand dollars. Electricians in this part of Texas deal with steady demand for power work because of the heat, occasional storms, and growing commercial sites that need reliable wiring and service. The company focuses on electrical installations and repairs that keep buildings running without constant outages or code problems.

In practice they run standard electrical services such as panel upgrades, conduit runs, lighting installs, and power distribution for commercial buildings. Crews show up to trace faults in existing systems, pull new wire through walls or attics, and set up temporary power on job sites when needed. Bastrop weather means a lot of calls for air conditioning circuits that fail in summer and backup setups after high winds take down lines. They also manage utility tie-ins and motor controls on bigger jobs where equipment draws heavy loads that older panels cannot handle safely.

Customers have left reviews that pull the overall mark down to a low level, with frequent notes on slow responses, billing disputes, and crews that come across as unhelpful on follow-up calls. That pattern shows up across dozens of ratings and points to gaps in how the company keeps jobs moving and customers informed. DIRT Score 2.52 from 58 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Honestly, I have always had a great experience with Bluebonnet. They are very responsive and take great care of their customers. This morning I was in the Bastrop office and was helped by Katie Weber. She was very personable, responsibe and conscientious. I highly recommend Bluebonnet if you need anything and consider taking time to leave a positive review, because companies like Bluebonnet pretty much only get reviews when someone wants to whine or complain! ; ) (No, I don't work for Bluebonnet, nor do I know ONE person who works for them apart from those who have helped me over the years, in case you are wondering.)

Sketchy organization. Apparently in the “fine print” of their solar interconnection agreements, they are only obligated to “pay” you in credits to your account. They’re never actually obligated to pay you back while you have an open account. I managed to get a refund check from them a couple times, but then got a call from a supervisor telling me that “actually if you read the fine print, we don’t have to refund you.” I don’t care if it’s in the fine print. That is an incredibly scummy policy to have with your members. Effectively at this point, I’m just generating free electricity for you. I was told that maybe at some point if the credits reach “a huge amount” they’ll send a check out. Just don’t sign a solar interconnect agreement with them. They’re not going to pay you if you over produce.

update.. Bluebonnet if you read my post i said life happens and with my son having surgeries i forgot to pay my bill due to paying his surgeries first. i didn't receive a bill. even if i make sure you have my correct address it doesn't help when its a community mail box and mail gets mixed up. plus i said that as a mgr she or as company should give more grace. In all my years of having electricity for my home, I have never had an electric company no be willing to give grace and empathy or some credit. If I could give a 0, I most certainly would! The supervisor for Bastrop County is rude because she said I have been the only customer that doesn't understand the bill. This company are the ONLY option for the area. I would highly recommend taking a different electric company if its available in your area. Unfortunately, sometimes things happen, life can drastically change and cause individuals to forget to pay their bills and explained that I forgot to pay bill with my son having surgeries and all his Dr appointments plus my son is fixing to have another one tomorrow but even then there was no show of a little grace & and empathy. The supervisor could care less. I get bill saying past due and on same bill to put as well that bill was due on 14th for past and current amount all to get disconnected and be charged the 110 disconnection fee is ridiculous. its almost the 14th too. The 2.7 rating for them is definitely accurate! Customer service is horrible! Customer service could be really nice BUT when they had to go to this supervisor it was like hitting a brick wall. If you’re fortunate enough to have an option for an electric provider then use someone other than Bluebonnet.

If I could give a 0 I most certainly would! I am not one that likes to call people out by name. The “ supervisor “ for Lockhart/Luling is so rude! This company is the worst & it is incredibly frustrating that they are the ONLY option for the area. If you are blessed enough to have another option, I would highly recommend taking it and going with a different electric provider. In all my years of being a homeowner and having electricity, I have never had an electric company no be willing to give a 24 hr extension. Unfortunately, sometimes things happen, life can drastically change and cause individuals to struggle and it may take a while for them to get back on their feet. If you can see that they are TRYING then show a little grace & work with them. Break the payments up, etc! The “supervisor “ could care less if you use a breathing machine to help you breath daily or not. This is why people struggle getting caught up and ahead! It’s all about the money. They charged a $300 deposit - not when service was set up but months after & were going to disconnect if it wasn’t paid with the bill! The rating for them is definitely accurate! Customer service is horrible! I will say that I have talked to 2 individuals that were really nice & tried to be helpful BUT when they had to go to this one specific supervisor it was like hitting a brick wall. What a blessing it must be to not have find your self in a position of literally having to rebuild & struggle due to significant health issues. Simple things in life that so many take for granted. Breathing being one of them! If you’re fortunate enough to have an option for an electric provider then use someone other than Bluebonnet.

I've been with Bluebonnet for over a decade and I have seen so much growth in the company in their customer service experience, starting from their upgraded app to their responsiveness. My electricity went out at midnight. I logged into to their nice organized portal, very user friendly, reported the outage. Went ahead and also called, on a Saturday at midnight I obviously got an automated message but I was still able to report the outage. Within 30 minutes a technician was at my property. Fixed the problem within 10 minutes. Best experience I have had with an electrical outage. Thank you!!!
