About

Base Power Inc operates out of Austin as electricians who focus on home battery systems and backup power tied to local utility partnerships. They set up reliable options for Texas homes that need steady electricity when storms hit or rates climb. The work centers on affordable plans that combine grid power with battery storage, helping homeowners cut costs while staying online during outages. Installs cover single-phase setups rated around 40 kW along with larger 50 kWh units, all done through utility tie-ins like those with Coserv and Oncor. This keeps the approach practical for everyday houses facing summer peaks and sudden weather cuts.

Their crews handle full battery placements and related electrical work such as adding surge protectors and easy-start kits on air conditioners. One customer signed up through a Coserv partnership in April and had the 50 kWh system running by mid-June for a set price of 499 dollars. Another job brought in Landon and Brodie from Charge Pro Texas to finish a clean install that left the yard spotless, while Kyle from Belton AC handled the air conditioner tie-in earlier that week. Hunter and Willy took on a separate project with careful attention to every connection, and the team also supports 40 kW single-phase backups chosen for whole-home coverage during heavy Texas storms. All of it runs on fixed lower rates plus a monthly membership that covers maintenance.

Homeowners keep coming back because the installs hold up under real conditions without extra headaches. They score full marks on work quality for tidy finishes and solid connections, fair pricing that beats traditional generator costs, and clear back-and-forth from start to finish. Response speed sits a bit lower but still gets the job done on schedule. Those consistent results on pricing, quality, and communication add up across hundreds of jobs. What Customers Say

We signed on as a Coserv Electric customer to the partnership between Coserv and Base Power in April, 2026. The installation was done on June 16, 2026. As one of the first batch of Coserv members signing on, I paid $499 for the 50 kWh battery backup system from Base Power. The whole process from the initial application to the installation was quite efficient and smooth. Base Power was great at communicating the requirements (for photos of the installation site, etc), updating the progress of the application, the scheduling of the installation. The installation took about six hours with about 90 minutes of power outage during the installation. There were two 25KWh battery unit with integrated inverter sitting on ground pads. A wall mounted transfer switch was installed. The crew cleaned up nicely after the installation. We are very happy with the process. After the system was up and running I installed the Base Power app on my phone. Using my email to sign into the app I was able to see the live status of the system including the instantaneous and average power usage, expected back up time, etc. Very informative. We highly recommend this offer from Coserv/Base Power.

Just had mine installed today. Landon and Brodie from Charge Pro Texas did an excellent job. Professional install and left the site perfectly clean. Kyle from Belton AC was here earlier in the week to install the easy start and surge protector for the air conditioner and same story-top notch and professional.

I recently became a happy customer of Base Power for a few common sense reasons. First and foremost, I was looking for an effective, reliable, low maintenance, and cost-effective solution for whole home electrical backup, especially during Texas storms. Base checked that box with their 40 kW single battery, perfect for my 1900 sf all electric home. It connects directly to the grid and provides enough juice to power my entire home for up to 72+ hrs, depending on my power usage. Refrigerators, freezers, routers, modems, computers, lights, TVs and low wattage items never even blink when the grid goes down. My 40kW battery is always online and immediately assumes full power in my house when the grid is silent. The nice thing is, I'm only leasing the battery from Base. They take care of all maintenance, updates, issues, whatever it may need for the duration of your contract. Second, Base provides electricity to my house at a fixed, below market rate for the duration of my contract, currently 8 cents per kWh plus standard TDU charges. No minimum, no maximum, no surprises. I also pay a monthly lease for the battery but have zero responsibility for any maintenance, troubleshooting, or repairs. Base does it all, but so far there is very little to do. It just works! The battery installation is clean, neat, looks nice by the main electrical panel feeder. If you have a smart electric meter, you need to contact Base Power. Chances are you can save money AND get whole home power backup without the high cost and maintenance of a fueled generator.

communication, and follow‑through — was absolutely flawless. Their team delivered true white‑glove service at every step. I want to give special recognition to Hunter and Willy, who handled my installation. They were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough. Their work was clean, efficient, and clearly done with pride. They made the whole experience smooth and stress‑free. Customer service across phone, email, text, and in‑person was equally impressive. Every interaction felt responsive, friendly, and genuinely focused on helping me. The product itself is amazing, and it’s clear this company stands behind what they build. BasePower is an outstanding company with an outstanding product, and I highly recommend them.

The Base Power team is excellent to work with. They kept me informed every step of the way. The battery placement is more complicated than I expected due to code requirements. That said, the installation was smooth once the location was defined. This happened well in advance of installation day. The App allows you to watch the power management in real time and provides battery time available based on current and low consumption for your house. I am very happy with the system and back up it provides.
