“Austin Water came and "fixed" a water leak in front of our property. They destroyed our internet line and said nothing. I reached out to Austin Water and they said the job was "completed" and never told us anything about fixing our internet they destroyed. The repair job was so sloppily done and looks like crap on our street. Also left hardhats and a shovel in the lawn. Laughably bad utility company.”

“We travel for work and just drove for three days. We rented this house through a realtor. The water has been shut off for four days now. I am guessing the owner didn't pay the bill. We gave him a few thousand dollars and this is what we get... ISN'T there a renters law about providing water....the toilets are starting to back up, they don't flush etc...NOBODY is helping... What is the point of having a leak & outage page if you just keep changing the estimated repair time from 5:30 to 6:45pm to 11 pm then 5:45am. Bet ya won’t refund any of those surcharges or fees ya nail us all with every month. COME FLUSH MY TOILET!!”

“Austin Water is attempting to displace residents of Paige, 50 miles away, and pursue a large scale water storage project by injecting excess surface water into our aquifer. This water is to be removed at a later date and sent back to Austin. This will disrupt our community, our water supply, the value of our property (due to potentially contaminated wells), and potentially our health. There is no purported benefit to the residents of Paige and Bastrop county. We vehemently oppose this project and ask that Austin handle its water storage within Travis County. It is unconscionable for Austin to place the burden and risks associated with this project on the poor population of Bastrop County, and I sincerely hope that the Austin community will understand that risks should be absorbed by the wealthy population which stands to benefit from the ASR project. Please don't poison and compromise my water supply so that you can irrigate your lawn.”
