About

Fox Service Company works as electricians serving homeowners around Austin, Texas. They handle jobs that come up in local houses and duplexes, from generator setups and ceiling fan installs to whole-home rewiring, switch and outlet upgrades, and panel work. Crews cover the area with the kind of practical know-how needed for older properties mixed with newer builds that show up in Austin neighborhoods. They focus on electrical panels, GFCI outlets, surge protection, and similar fixes that keep power running steady without extra complications.

They replace old stab lok panels with new Siemens models, as John Price and Olin Torres did on a duplex where they worked around the tenant without issues and quoted the exact scope upfront. Other crews like Josh and Jeremiah finish tasks ahead of schedule by moving efficiently as a pair and double-checking connections before wrapping up. The company takes on lighting installs both inside and out, electrical inspections, and maintenance calls that address breakers, fuses, and charging stations for electric cars. Technicians stick to direct methods that match what the job actually requires on site.

Homeowners note consistent results on work quality with solid fixes that hold up, along with strong response speed when power problems hit. Communication stays clear enough for most projects even when details need sorting out. These patterns show up across repeated jobs and add up to reliable performance in the trade. Project Foreman Evaluation: Caswell House Renovation Reflection on John Price's Role as Foreman I wanted to take a moment to gather my thoughts on how John performed as the foreman of our project at the Caswell House. Background of the Caswell House. As you may or may not know, the Caswell House, located at 1404 West in downtown Austin, was built in 1899. Over the decades, it has changed ownership several times. Since 1978, the house has been under the stewardship of the Austin Junior Forum, a women’s service organization dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community—including women, children, and the elderly. The Caswell House allows us to host community events and raise funds in support of our 501(c)(3) mission. I have been a member of the Austin Junior Forum since 2023 and have served as the building manager since late December 2024. In that time, I have interacted with every person who comes through our doors, including many service providers. Among all those I have worked with, John and his crew have been the best and most professional. The Importance of the Electrical System Updates Currently, we are updating several aspects of the Caswell House, with the electric system being one of the most critical improvements. From the moment John and his outstanding crew arrived and I gave them a tour (it truly must be seen to be believed), I knew how fortunate the Austin Junior Forum was to have Fox and John overseeing our project as foreman. John’s Professionalism and Expertise John is highly knowledgeable in all aspects required to complete his daily responsibilities. More notably, he has a strong desire to explain and teach, sharing his knowledge with both the customer and his crew. His team is fortunate to have him as their leader. Attention to Detail and Trust John and his crews attention to detail is exceptional. He is incredibly skilled, and Fox is extremely fortunate to have him on their team. Future Recommendations I have complete trust in John and his team, and I will not hesitate to consult Fox for any future needs! Thank you again! Kelly Treybig – Manager Caswell House - Austin Junior Forum

John price and Olin Torres did a great job replacing 4 stab lok panels with brand new Siemens panels at my duplex. They were able to work around my tenant’s home with respect and care. John was able to professionally communicate and give a quote on exactly the work I wanted done without any scope creep. They cleaned any messes they made and left the property better than before. Good work!

We had an incredibly poor experience with this company when our AC broke and our house was over 85 degrees with a newborn. Over two days, they repeatedly misdiagnosed the problem and attempted to escalate the costs. The first day, a technician claimed the issue was just a dirty air filter, which solved nothing. The second day, a different technician showed me a photo of a "dirty blower" and quoted over $12,000 for repairs. He pressured us toward a full $27,000 system replacement, claiming our unit used an EPA-banned coolant, which would cost $400/pound to replace—this was a lie. Our AC is clearly labeled as using R401A. Skeptical, we called another company for a second opinion that same evening. Their technician showed us that our coils were actually completely clean. The real issue was simply a clogged drain line (P-trap), which they cleared quickly. The system has been running perfectly since. This company used high-pressure sales tactics and false information to turn a simple fix into a $27,000 replacement. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Incredible job! The job was completed way faster than the estimated timeframe. Both Josh and Jeremiah were very efficient and it seemed as though they have been paired up for a while based on how well they communicated with each other. They were also very thorough with the job, double checking and triple checking their work to make sure everything was within manufacture specs, all while providing me with updates throughout the process. Honestly, I probably slowed them down with the number of questions I had. Which by the way, they were very friendly and happy to answer. Their amount of knowledge and level of expertise really made me feel as if I was in good hands, and not “just another customer”. They weren’t “just installers”. Josh and Jeremiah were great.

Marshall at Fox Service came to the house on an emergency gas leak. He was a quick worker at diagnostic and repair! Very knowledgeable and helped me make informed decisions by laying out the pros and cons of different scenarios. I highly recommend Fox service and Marshall if you have issues with your home in this area!
