Gulf Coast Generators
Electrician · Beaumont, TX
About
Gulf Coast Generators operates out of Beaumont, TX as electricians who focus on Generac standby generator systems for homes and businesses. They handle permanent installations that connect to existing electrical setups and provide ongoing repairs plus emergency service seven days a week. Factory trained technicians meet the standards required for warranty work and safety checks on these units that kick on automatically during outages. The company dispatches crews quickly to address issues on site rather than leaving customers without power for long stretches common in the area.
Their work centers on full generator setups including the Generac 24KW wifi models and 22KW home systems along with transfer switch repairs and maintenance. Technicians such as Kent walk customers through options with straightforward advice on sizing and placement. One job involved setting the generator after the homeowner poured the foundation and stand then running all electrical lines and gas piping to get it operational fast. Another call after a lightning storm required replacing two blown fuses on the transfer switch and swapping out the fried computer board so the whole house backup ran again without delay. They also keep systems serviced for years with regular checks that keep units ready when needed most.
Customers keep mentioning the same strengths in how the electricians show up on time respond to calls without dragging things out and explain what is wrong in plain terms that build trust. The team earns points for professional conduct during installs and fixes plus the ability to handle both new wiring and storm damage repairs in one visit. That record of steady service across different jobs adds up to the overall mark they carry now. DIRT Score 3.13 from 26 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Our experience with Gulf Coast Generators was SUPERB.. We purchased the Generac 24KW wifi generator. We have absolutely zero complaints. After reading several negative reviews, we decided to check for ourselves. And we're so grateful and thankful that we did. Kent was very helpful, honest, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. The cash price we paid couldn't be topped. His entire crew was absolutely awesome. Came in with what they had to do and went straight to it. The electrician ( Allen), who was his son, and another gentleman was absolutely very fast, professional, and neat. The plumber (David) was one of the nicest people I've ever met. During this process, the gas had to be turned off to install, and he helped us light it back when we had absolutely no clue on how to do it. Or find where it was hidden. And he didn't have to do that. This is a new home and our first time to experience that. Now we know....And Kent, he wasn't just our seller. He was very hands-on during the entire process. The job, including permits and inspections, took @ 3 days. And that's exactly which was quoted to us. Everything was done correctly and started up with no problems. Kent, thank y'all so much for the awesome job that you and your team provided. We have absolutely NO REGRETS. This is an investment we've been wanting to do for a long time. I am thankful that with the help of Kent, staff, and crew at Gulf Coast Generators, we finally completed. The Greens”
“We have used Gulf Coast Generators since our Generac was installed 5 years ago. We have always received prompt responses and service from courtesy and professional employees. Our generator is extremely important to our family as my wife has health issues and continuous electricity is of the utmost importance!”
“Gulf Coast Generators has been servicing our whole house back up Generac for several years. They have always been responsive and reliable. We recently had a lightning storm that blew two fuses on our transfer switch, and also fried the computer board on our generator. Many people with generators were having trouble with them after this storm. Because his crews were busy working to repair other’s generators, the owner himself came out to repair our problem. He made certain one of his crew followed up to install a surge protector on our transfer switch so this never happens again. I can’t say enough good things about Kent and Gulf Coast Generators. If you need a generator call Gulf Coast Generators!”
“Working with Gulf Coast Generators was a great experience. The knowledge and experience about generators helped me make the decision to get my Generac 22 Kvw home system. I installed my foundation and stand and GCG set the generator, all electrical and gas piping. The installation was quick and seamless with them taking care of all permits required for the city. Startup was quick once I had the new gas line installed. Also the peace of mind knowing that if our power ever goes out we are covered with the back up generator instant startup. I would recommend them to all my friends and family, Kent Burch was great to work with. G Rose, Nederland TX.”
“One individual in an organization can make and another can totally destroy a service company. I had an opportunity to interact with the owner of the company, Kent the afternoon of a large storm in the area. My generac has faltered much longer in the switch to emergency power after a transformer blew approximately 20 yards from the generator. It did come on, but reacted very differently than any time in past years. My home was remodeled completely in 2019. It has the same led can lights through our. Approx one third of the lights would only flicker as there was low power. The air conditioning never worked as it never regained power. The interaction with Kent was top notch. He patiently worked with me to diagnose there was no power coming from Entergy, was very pleasant and genuinely voiced concern with my situation. He told me to call him back, if I needed to after power was completely restored. The air conditioning never recovered. I spent the night trying to diagnose the issue. Finally my Nest thermostat told me there was no power coming from the HVAC system. I tried without success to restart the unit. The next morning I called and asked for Kent. I knew immediately this was not going to end well. The short of it was Kent new the history in detail. To be short, the individual I spoke with was rude and condescending with a disgusting attitude and at no time even offered to have Kent return my call. I as a customer certainly have no knowledge of the complexities and interworkings of HVAC/Generator system, but expect assistance without an attitude. The only issue repeated several times was "it'll cost ya 130 an hour". I close with no other detail other than, it only takes one individual to make a positive reputation statement and only one individual to completely destroy the reputation of a service organization.”
