Work includes solar and battery setups when homeowners want to add those options, along with safety checks and energy saving fixes that keep things running steady without cutting corners. What Customers Say

Good morning, We have been BEC customers for approximately three years and currently maintain two homes in Texas. Our Bandera property is occupied only occasionally, often for just a few hours on certain days. Despite this limited use, our recent bills for that location have been unusually high. According to our digital thermostat, total heating and cooling usage for December was roughly 60 hours. However, the bill for our Bandera home was higher than the bill for our primary residence in Castroville, where we live full‑time and use significantly more electricity. After speaking with customer service, I was informed that the system shows a peak usage period around 3:00 AM. This is concerning, as no one is present at the home during those hours. The only devices operating overnight are security cameras and a single LED light. Given this, the reported usage does not appear reasonable. I would appreciate a thorough review of our account and an explanation for these discrepancies. The current billing does not align with our actual usage, and I requested clarification to ensure the charges are accurate and fair, and I received a bogus explanation. I might have to take this further to be treaded fair.

My wife and I have been with BEC for over two years now. I wanted to wait to give a full review until I had a complete picture of their service. I can honestly say I do not have a single negative thing to say. When we were first moving into our home in early 2024, many residents across the area were without power. Our power pole was in bad shape and needed replacement. The gentleman who came out did not hesitate to say it had to be replaced, but we let them know there was no rush on our end since we had about six weeks before moving in. We just wanted to make sure they could focus on getting power restored to everyone else who was currently without it. They handled the replacement perfectly within our timeline. We also signed up for their fiber internet which is amazing. Recently, we had some flickering issues. After our independent electrician confirmed our panels and wires were fine, BEC came out. They were upfront that we would be billed if the issue was on our side, but they found a small issue on their end and fixed it immediately. No bill and no more flickering. They even helped us with a discount on our membership fee based on our perfect payment history with our previous provider. Even when my wife calls the office to ask questions, they are always friendly and helpful. I personally haven't had a single bad experience in two years. The people who came out to look at the pole, install the new one, and fix the issue on their end have been honest, kind, and hardworking.

Horrible company can't keep up with their business and accounts that state a payment is a certain payment. Then i'm called later to say that I owe more , it's not within my budget to screw around with their inconsistency. Do not move somewhere where you're only allowed to have this place.Make sure not to hire this company for any reason.Whatsoever. When you call, they give you the runaround. They make you feel as if there's nothing wrong. They don't help and they shame you As if they're perfect. The customer service acts like they try to help but really only makes things worse

Frequent power loss and longer outages. Our whole neighborhood of pretty old people recently had THREE power losses within 24 hours! Not even windy or anything. LOL is all I can say. This company's leadership must be terrible, or perhaps the crews have no talent I don't know.

Had Joe, a technician, over today. Pro Prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Had my internet up and running quickly. I'm impressed!
