About

Stimac Electric Co works as electricians based in Navasota, Texas. They handle electrical service connections and meter work for homes and properties across the region, dealing with both ONCOR lines and local co-op systems that split responsibilities on many rural accounts. Their focus stays on re-energizing lines, addressing outages, and maintaining service where customers face divided utility setups. In an area like Navasota with its mix of town and county roads, these electricians take on jobs that involve coordinating between providers to restore power after storms or equipment failures hit the lines.

They respond to calls about meters that go dark, including cases where seven meters stayed out for ten days along county roads 481 and 471 near Dew. Crews get sent to re-energize lines that sometimes need little actual repair, yet quotes can reach eight thousand dollars for the task. Work also covers frequent outage repairs when wind knocks out service, though crews often arrive without needed parts in stock and leave properties dark for three to seven days at a stretch. Phone lines stay automated, forcing customers to visit offices in person for any real progress on service issues.

Homeowners in Navasota and nearby spots report the same problems again and again with speed of response, quality of repairs, and costs that feel out of line for the results. Communication stays difficult because automated systems block direct help and crews lack basic inventory for quick fixes. These patterns across dozens of accounts explain the low marks for reliability and value on everyday electrical work. DIRT Score 2.21 from 80 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Half my meters are serviced through ONCOR and the other half, unfortunately, are on the co-op. ONCOR is much more forgiving, reliable, and easier to deal with when installing and maintaining service. Navasota wanted to charge $8,000 to re-energize a line that needed no work, ONCOR has never done that to me. Terrible company and policies.

We in our community have been out of electricity for going ten days, 7 meters, on cnty rd 481 and 471 in Dew, Tx area

Worst managed electric company I've ever used as a provider in my 60 years. Electric goes out when the wind blows too hard. Outages are frequent and long lasting. Crews are slow to repair and they never have equipment to repair in their inventory. Electric is usually down for 3 to 7 days per occurrence. Electric lines are poorly maintained. The customer service and field personnel are nice people that are easy to deal with but the people that are managing this company are completely incompetent. We are going full solar by next summer and won't have to worry about this clown show anymore.

Phone is automatic, cant get operator even when following directions. Walking in is only slightly better.

The absolute worst electric company I’ve ever dealt with in 20 years. If my dog farts, the power goes out and it stays out for hours right now it’s been 24 hours. But when it comes time for our bills to come out, they want to charge us an extra $200 because they have to buy electricity. The same thing happened when we had the snowmageddon out for seven days two months later my bill was 300$ extra. this company is the only thing that makes me wanna move from our beautiful area.
