“When we found out how much it was going to cost to bring electricity out to our newly built barn in rural Oklahoma (near Headrick), we were shocked. I remembered or heard that Joe Kaminski, who I went to high school with, installs solar, so I Googled him and found his company, Energize with Sunrise, based in Burleson, TX. I gave him a call, told him what we were dealing with, and he jumped right in to help. Joe made several trips out to Oklahoma and took care of everything. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He and his crew put in an awesome off-grid solar array that powers everything we need—and then some. No more paying bills to the utility company. The solar system works like a charm. It produces more than enough power, and the battery backup keeps everything going all night and during cloudy days. The mini-split HVAC unit is awesome. Joe said it would “freeze us out,” and he wasn’t kidding! It’s quiet, super-efficient, and keeps our barn living space cool even in the middle of a blazing Oklahoma summer. We keep the AC on at a reasonable temperature even when we’re not there and don’t even worry about it. The backup generator is there just in case, and it kicks in automatically. So far, we haven’t even needed it because the solar’s been holding strong. Joe even made a special trip just to walk us through how everything works. No pressure, which was nice because I had a ton of questions, and he was patient with every single one. Joe knows his stuff! It was great dealing with someone I know and trust. We’ve got reliable power, zero monthly bills, and the peace of mind of being totally off-grid.
