“They had very knowledgeable salesman that knocked on our door despite the no soliciting sign. These young men reminded us of all of the benefits of solar energy that we learned in elementary school. They walked us through the energy savings and how the cost would be so low. We were sold hook line and sinker for solar energy and a low cost. Fast forward two years and our electric bill has not gone down. A representative from their company was supposed to walk us through the buyback program with the cities energy company, but that did not happen. So Now we are paying our normal electric bill plus $110 a month for the solar panel loan. They also told us we would get a tax credit that would help us pay off the loan. That was also a lie. It’s a nonrefundable tax credit which means it will pay off money you owe to the IRS, but you cannot use it to pay off the solar loan. So here we are two years later with a 25 year $30,000 loan and Electric bills that are the same as they were before. They also used a loan company that has gone bankrupt and all communications we’ve had with that loan company have been negative.”
