“Update to 4 stars: Update to 1 star: Do not add moth balls to your generator, as the installer says. The installer told us to add the moth balls to prevent bugs from making nests in the generator. They [originally would] not send anyone to help get them out, just because they didn't actually put the moth balls there, only told us to add them. A couple of days later, they called back and offered to have someone come get them out. My husband managed to use a shop vac to get most of them that hadn't rolled under the machine. I do appreciate the offer. :) Original review: I got an estimate from this store after getting connected to them through Costco, and on our own to SALT. This store had a MUCH more reasonable offer for the same generator. I'm very pleased overall! My generator setup and coaching day was very cool. The guy was very knowledgeable and there was so much to learn, but I feel like we're in great hands if we get lost! Jennifer kept us updated on the permitting from the city and on when our install days would be. I didn't have to lift a finger scheduling all of those people to come out to my house. One thing I would say is they're not as detailed as I was expecting in exactly when and what is going to happen in the emails letting me know I am confirmed for my install dates. I kind of just found out what hour they were going to show up when a day estimate was given, and what they were going to need from me. For example, I didn't know what the pipes would look like or that they needed my gutter downspouts removed at the ends, and which ones and how many, and then in the end, they removed the ones for me I didn't know needed removal. Also they said my 10% was due but I'm pretty sure they meant the last 90%. If the amount I paid was 10% of the total, that would mean my total install and purchase costed something like $100, 000! Instead of telling me how they came up with that number, they just said it was correct according to their records. Fine by me and I didn't want to delay the final setup, but please do better for the next person. Update: We finally had a couple of power outages and this kicked on automatically and worked! We still tried to conserve our power (turning off lights and don't use appliances other than the HVAC and keep the fridge running) so we didn't drive up the gas bill. It was really nice knowing we will be ok. Even our router would come back up and we would have internet every time the generator kicked back on.”
