About
Zlectric Solutions works as an electrician based in Corpus Christi, Texas, near the intersection of Cosner Dr and McArdle Rd. They keep regular hours from nine in the morning until six in the evening on weekdays and close on Sundays. The outfit stands behind every job with an all-work guarantee and extends discounts to military members along with senior citizens. Homeowners in the area often deal with salt air corrosion on wiring and breakers that trip during heavy summer storms, so a local crew that knows these conditions matters when outlets go dead or panels need attention.
They handle breaker replacements on air conditioning units, repairs to bathroom outlets that show open ground faults even with GFCI protection in place, and fixes for ovens that stop heating properly. One job brought a tech out the next day to swap a breaker after a warranty claim, while another call led to installing a ceiling fan once the main work wrapped up. Scheduling sometimes falls to the owner who answers the phone, and appointments have slipped when techs like Javier miss the first visit or when contact comes late, such as a text at nine thirty at night for the following day.
Reviews split on how the crew performs day to day, with some homeowners noting quick arrivals and clear explanations on the job while others point to delays in getting scheduled, abrupt phone manners, or short visits that leave issues unresolved. Speed and quality land in the middle across the set, price draws fewer complaints when warranty work covers the bill, and communication drags the average down in several cases. “Looks like i fell i to the same bad luck category of having them assigned my home warranty claim. Had all my bathroom plugs stop working, showing open ground. Home has GFCI breakers. Took a while for them to schedule for first appointment, which Javier missed. Rescheduled after excuses and then came out and swapped my GFCI breaker with a new breaker and said good to go now. Plugs worked for about a day and then out again. I go check the breaker panel, and they used a non GFCI breaker. So i had no GFCI protection at my outlets around water. Highly dangerous. Contacted them back saying outlets aren’t working and you used the wrong breaker. Told me it is a GFCI breaker (it’s 100% not) and then says it’s not even a GFCI issue but probably a loose wire at an outlet somewhere in the circuit chain. Ok, why didn’t you check for that since there’s power to outlet just not a completed circuit? Says to call home warranty back for a recall. Do that and they say recall issued and contact contractor back. Finally get a response we don’t know when we can schedule you cause you’re so far away, like that’s my fault. Why are you agreeing to cover my area if it’s an inconvenience? Contact home warranty back asking for other options and they say they’ll contact contractor. They finally reach out saying it’ll probably be a couple weeks. We finally schedule. The scheduled day comes, ghosted. No response. No excuse. No attempt to reschedule again. Just nothing. Left on read. I really hope First American Home Warranty is paying attention to these guys.”
“This company was assigned to me through First American Home Warranty for a breaker replacement at my AC unit. I had to call them to schedule and appointment because I never heard from them. The man answering the phone (I'm assuming he's the owner) was pretty abrupt and somewhat rude. He then explained to me that he's based out of Corpus (I live in San Antonio) and that he would have to get one of his Austin guys to come out. That took about a week. I gave the company a 4 star review because the work that was done, was good work. The electrician that came out was very professional and friendly. They didn't have the part they needed to so they ran down to Home Depot and picked it up. They were in and out quickly.”
“Unbelievably horrible service. Was assigned this contractor through our home warranty for a malfunctioning oven. Was not contacted in a timely manner, received a text message from the electrician at 9:30pm saying he could come out the next day. Got here, spent 5 minutes looking at our oven and stated he could not test the power because he "didn't have the tools." Stated he would have to get with his boss and come back out. First of all, how does an electrician not have the tools to test power to an electrical appliance? Well, after not hearing from them for a week and multiple calls to our home warranty company, turns out the electrician, Dusty, had submitted a report stating there was nothing wrong with our power and they should send the appliance company back out (who had already been out and stated the oven was fine, that it was an electrical issue). I called him personally to question this, as I knew he had tested absolutely nothing during his visit, and he stated that the reason he said that was because the appliance company needed to come back out and REMOVE THE OVEN FROM THE CABINET for him so that he could test the power. He clarified to me that he could not check anything because he had nothing to prop the oven on, as its above ground level and built into a cabinet. To be very clear, he did not state ANY of this during his time in our home. If he had, we would have very easily provided something to prop the oven on so that it could be removed from the cabinet and the wires examined. This was such a simple task that, upon him clarifying why he didn't do anything during our visit, we very quickly and easily went and pulled the oven out ourselves and checked the wires. Turns out it was a simple burned out wire nut that was probably causing a short. My husband fixed it in about 20 minutes. I am certain we are not the first home this company has ever encountered that has an oven built into the cabinet, and they seriously don't have any idea how to deal with that? Then he straight up lied to our home warranty and let us sit without an oven for an additional week when it could have easily been fixed during his initial visit. I am astounded at the laziness and dishonesty of this provider.”
“They were assigned to us for home warranty claim. They came out next day and completed the work in a professional manner and speedy manner. The tech explained everything and was very helpful and courteous. We even called them back out to install a ceiling fan outside of our warranty work. The new tech was great as well. I would definitely recommend them and call them again for any electrical needs.”
“Wish I could give 0 stars. This company is a contractor for our home warranty company. Submitted request on 8/24. Followed up on 8/27. No response; no call. Notified warranty company. Zlectric told warranty company they were still trying to put us on their schedule FOR FIVE DAYS!!! Clearly they do not want to work.”
