“I was having a freezing issue with my ac unit and another company wanted to replace my whole system for $10,000 and then said they could just replace the coil for $3500. I called Amistad and they said first we should try a dye to see where the leak is coming from bc it’s the first time it froze up and it could be a super tiny leak that takes years to lose Freon. They did everything no charge for today and then said if I ever do notice the freezing again to call them back so they can check for the leak and I can pay for it then. They seriously put me at ease. I was so stressed with the other company. They even gave me a ballpark quote for a new coil before they came out (before they realized it’s not obviously the coils) and the quote was $1600 (half the other company). I feel so thankful I don’t even know what else to say except thank you!! Update: October 2024 another company told me I need a new unit for $16,000 and amistad said it was just the capacitor or combuster (I don’t remember) but that was it and now it’s working again. A lot of companies will try to take advantage of you but NOT Amistad. They are very trustworthy.”
