“Wow... I never thought installing Solar Panels in my complicated roof and renovated house would be easy. Due to the total renovation of my house 12 years ago, I had wires going all over the place and I had no clue how they all hooked up. I realized it would be a challenge, but the people at Native Solar really tried to work with me and my unconventional home and very difficult life circumstances. In all Native Solar's efforts I have to acknowledge 3 people who went above and beyond in helping me with all my issues: Chris Skaugen and Rae Ann Hargrave and the most amazing electrician and trouble shooter ever - Kresten. Not only do these individuals deserve a 5 Star Rating. Their Stars SPARKLE ✨✨✨✨✨”
“I recently met Derek at Native Solar and I mentioned to him some concerns that I had about the solar that was installed on my home several years ago by another company. Derek recommended to have his technical crew come out to see if they could find anything wrong with our system. From the moment a ticket was issued in their system, the communication was unbelievable. Technicians came out to my home, performed inspections on my system and to my surprise, they found a couple of inverters that were burnt out. They ordered parts and were back out replacing everything that needed to be replaced to get my system back up and functioning properly within a week. I honestly wish I had purchased my solar solution through Native Solar because it was nice having a team of individuals that I could follow up with. I didn’t have that with the company who did the install years ago. My advice to anyone looking for solar is to be sure to work with a company like Native that will continue to service your home years beyond the initial install. Go with Native Solar, they will be available to help for years to come. I wish I had but I’m glad I found them now!”
“We currently have over 60 solar panels, which we have had for over 10 years. These work well. However, we had an enphase system installed to help power our house during power outages. Unfortunately, this system has failed us every time we have had a power outage. My husband just spent about 1 hour outside in the rain on the phone with support trying to trouble shoot the problem, but didn’t have much luck. We only got our power back when power was restored in our neighborhood. We could see that our neighbors generac systems were hard at work and they had no problems with their backup system. If you are looking for a backup system for power outages, I don’t recommend this one. Our neighbors spend less than half of what we spent on our Enphase system and they are able to power their entire houses for extended periods of time with no problems. Their systems kick in quickly as soon as they loose power. Also, If our system were to work, we would only be able to power part of our home, and for far less time than their systems. With both the generac and Enphase systems, you can choose your systems based on what parts of the house you want to have power. Our neighbors chose to have their entire homes powered. At this time, I would not recommend the Enphase system as a backup for power outages.”
“You better hope nothing goes off line or breaks (especially with out your knowledge) cause they’ll charge you $300 just to send someone to look at your system and then tack on $175 an hour for repairs on top of that. They also won’t give you updates or inform you what they’re doing or when they’ll come back, ya gotta keep bugging them for information. I’ve had my system for two years, it was offline for 3 months and I had no clue. Solar is a scam, yall.”
“My whole experience with Native Solar has been amazing! After checking with several installers, we decided on them because they took the time to really listen- and thoughtfully answer. And through our interactions, we found they really get the whole process at a very deep level- from solar to batteries to gensets and how they all interact- and also how they can be installed to satisfy our energy requirements, according to Austin codes. Casey and Derek were both fabulous. Derek in sales and operations and Casey on the actual installation. Ours was a fairly complicated install, and it would recommend Native Solar without reservation.”
