The Lighting Geek

The Lighting Geek works as electricians based in Elk Grove, Texas, with a clear focus on lighting jobs that cover both homes and commercial spots. Their background shows steady experience handling outdoor electrical needs in the area, where the local climate brings hot summers and sudden storms that wear down wiring and fixtures faster than in milder spots. They stick to practical solutions for security, decoration, and everyday reliability rather than chasing fancy trends, which fits what Texas homeowners deal with when old setups fail or new builds require proper outdoor power. This approach keeps things straightforward for folks who just want lights that work without constant headaches.

Electricians like these handle bistro lighting setups for patios, security lighting around properties to deter issues, and permanent holiday lighting that stays up year-round without yearly hassles. They also take on repairs and maintenance for residential outdoor systems, commercial landscape lighting, and work for HOAs that need consistent results across multiple buildings. In Elk Grove the common jobs involve fixing storm-damaged lines, upgrading old panels to handle more load from air conditioning units, and installing reliable fixtures that stand up to dust and heat. Crews show up with the right tools, check the full circuit before starting, and leave the site clean so owners avoid extra cleanup or follow-up calls.

Customers keep coming back because the work holds up under real use, response times stay quick even during peak seasons, prices come in fair without surprises on the bill, and communication stays direct from the first call through completion. That combination adds up to strong marks across the board on every job type they touch. DIRT Score 4.94 from 256 reviews on Finds.

“Great crew! They came in and quickly installed my patio lights and did a great job. They showed respect for my yard and when they left everything was nice and clean. And it did recently rained. Lights are awesome and you can pick different colors with different effects. It’s going to be fun, It’s too bad google doesn’t allow video so you can see the colors changing and effects. Thanks Lightning Geeks!”

“We love what Tommy and his crew did for our home. They helped us by installing outdoor lighting in front and bistro lights in back. We’er both getting older and installing holiday lights every year was becoming increasingly challenging. Now we have multi-colored lights in all kinds of patterns year round. We and our neighbors love the festive way our house looks every night. Our home has a unique arch across the top. Tommy devised a special way to ensure the lights followed the border across the front. The cost was more than other estimates, but the quality of Haven Lights and the work completed by The Lighting Geek makes it obvious that we made the right decision. In back they replaced an old ceiling fan and installed bistro lights that make our patio much more enjoyable. Especially on warm nights.”

“The Lighting Geek did an outstanding job on our landscape lighting project. The lead technician, Manuel, was exceptional—professional, detail-oriented, and always open to feedback. The crew arrived on time each day and even brought additional equipment, like lower-wattage lights, so we could fine-tune the look as the project progressed. The end result is a beautifully designed and very clean installation, with no visible wiring even in challenging areas like stone walls. The lighting perfectly enhances our home, making it feel more welcoming, safe, and luxurious. I’m extremely pleased with the entire experience and highly recommend The Lighting Geek to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and great service.”

“We highly recommend Tommy Herren and the Lighting Geek for your lighting work. We had Lightning Geek install permanent decorative lighting in the front of our house and bistro lighting over our back patio this spring. The workers arrived promptly in clean uniforms and clean vehicles. Very professional in appearance and in work. When part of the front lights presented an unusual placement, Tommy solved it with a.practical and beautiful installation. When we had some difficulty with the software for the light programming, Tommy explained it and hot it working for us. When we had a problem with the bistro lights over the patio, Tommy came out, looked at the problem and recommended we get another electrician as the problem appears to be under the house.”
