About

Kimbel Mechanical Systems works out of Fayetteville, Texas, where the focus stays on electrician tasks for both new builds and existing homes. This operation hires apprentice and licensed electricians to handle construction projects that involve running wire, setting panels, and tying in systems for plumbing and HVAC crews on the same sites. Fayetteville sits in an area with hot summers that push air conditioning loads hard and occasional storms that knock out power lines or trip breakers in older properties. The company keeps crews moving across multiple trades but sends electricians out for the core power work that keeps houses running day to day without constant callbacks for loose connections or undersized circuits.

Electricians from this outfit handle full rough-ins on new construction homes, install service upgrades in older Fayetteville houses, and fix issues like overloaded outlets or failed breakers that show up after years of heavy use. They work on jobs that include mounting fixtures, pulling cable through attics where the heat builds up fast, and making sure new additions get proper grounding before the drywall goes up. Homeowners around here often call for help after summer storms leave them with tripped main breakers or damaged outdoor receptacles, and these crews respond by replacing damaged wiring and testing the whole panel to avoid repeat failures. The work stays practical, with teams showing up to trace shorts in barns or sheds that sit on larger properties common in the area, then leaving the place clean before heading to the next site.

Customers rate the outfit at an average level because jobs sometimes drag on timing and pricing can sit right in the middle without standing out either way, while communication holds steady but does not always beat expectations on quick updates. Quality comes through on straightforward installs yet slips when crews juggle too many new construction sites at once during peak building season. Speed matches what most expect for rural Texas work but falls short when parts delays hit during supply shortages. DIRT Score 3.0 from 66 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

“I big shout out to Parker Jones and Kimbel Mechanical... our AC went out in house, and as can be expected the house was getting up in temp, reached 84 degree in the house. Called Kimbel, spoke with the warranty dept, and they sent out Parker, after a bit of trouble shooting, Parker informed me that is was a bad motor. He was going to order it, it may take a day, but could be up to a week. But instead he chose to run back to the shop, because he had an idea, was going to speak with his boss... well he came back and got us fixed up. He finished around 7 pm. He did not have to go the extra mile and could have just blew us off, but he chose to get us going that day. A true pro, exceptional service demonstrated through understanding, care and thoughtful resolve. Kimbel is fortunate to ha”

“I got your balloon! This thing traveled 30 miles when it floated down to me. What a weird way to advertise.”

“The people who drive their company vans are HORRIBLE drivers. They speed and cut people off. Very unprofessional.”

“Unsafe and Unprofessional Behavior I haven’t personally used Kimbel Mechanical Systems’ services, but I’ve seen many other reviews mentioning rude or unprofessional behavior from their staff — and after what I experienced, I can see why. While driving on the freeway in the Knoxville area, one of their company trucks nearly ran me off the road. The driver was going roughly 80 mph, tried to merge in front of me without using a blinker, and forced their way into my lane even though there wasn’t enough room. I had to slam on my brakes to avoid being hit. If a business is receiving this many complaints about the behavior of its employees, both on and off the job, it’s something management really needs to take seriously. Safety and professionalism should extend beyond the job site.”

“Out of my 5 years in the field this is most definitely the worst install I have ever came across.. they put 1 ton air handlers on 2 ton condensers (non compatible according to Goodman engineers), left condensates draining on the floor for the ones that had enough fall to drain, mounted the air handlers to the wall crooked, so they constantly hold water, they didn’t even wire the fan speeds in.. they have wire spliced at every unit with just tape! Not even wire nuts, 6 compressor burnouts within 6 months because they don’t know how to pull a proper vacumn..(62 units in 2 days which is under a 10 minute vacumn per unit with over 100 feet of lineset for each) they also changed pistons on units that didn’t need it, the real issue was the units are incompatible, I wouldn’t expect these clowns ”

“Employee driving company truck was absolutely crazy behind us. Driving aggressively, honking when we stopped at the stop sign, sped around us. Wouldn’t want someone like that fixing anything for me, unnecessarily aggressive and dangerous for what”

“Dale Logan and Nazareth did a fantastic job! Came out right away and after hours to fix a leak at the main.”

“I don't personally know how good your services are BUT I do know some of your employees are the most unprofessional out there! I don't care how clear OR congested a street is. Your employees do NOT have the right to block an entire neighborhood street & keep others from getting through so THEY can do the job they are getting paid to do. I sincerely hope those employees don't represent the whole of your company's standard of professionalism.”

“New home built in April 2024. Had hvac issues in late summer/fall. They came out and sprayed off our unit saying there was building debris and topped off our coolant because it was low. Didn’t charge us just wanted to honor their work and business. Fast forward to June 2025 ecobee sent an alert saying there maybe a problem bc the temperature keeps raising even though the air conditioner is set at 69 degrees. We tried spraying the outside unit like the guy previously recommended, but that did nothing. The inside of our house is staying in the upper 70s. We are past the one year warranty and Kimbel stated they won’t do anything now that we are past the warranty, wouldn’t come out to check anything. Airco came out and looked at everything- stated the problems we’ve been having are not new and”

“Rick showed up when they said he would and replaced a warranty tub valve, that was dripping. He performed the work very quickly! I think it took him longer to provide and wear boot covers which shows he was respecting our home. Coming from another side of the trades, it's nice to see other tradesmen in the field doing good service.”
