About
R&D Electrical Llc operates as a commercial electrician out of Justin, TX and covers the broader DFW metroplex along with North Central Texas. The outfit holds licenses and insurance while carrying over one hundred years of combined management experience across its office staff. Their work centers on facilities such as higher education buildings, healthcare sites, aviation projects, independent school districts, and assisted living centers. They also maintain certifications as a Minority Business Enterprise, Historically Underutilized Business, and Small Business Enterprise. Safety stays front and center with OSHA training in place and a record that avoids unnecessary risks on every site.
Electricians from the company handle service calls that range from quick outlet repairs to adding new circuits for doorbells and similar additions. Russell reached one homeowner on short notice, sized up the problem without jargon, and left the customer confident the fix would hold. Johnny earned notice for showing up fast on facilities jobs that started small and grew into larger fixes, finishing every repair without patchwork so the system ran right the first time. Crews tackle commercial electrical challenges by assessing conditions on arrival, adjusting as needed, and keeping the focus on getting the power back without cutting corners or leaving debris behind.
Customers who rate the work higher point to fast response times on emergency calls, clear explanations during visits, and solid fixes that last on both simple and messy jobs. Reviews highlight steady communication when plans shift and attention to detail that prevents repeat issues down the road. Price changes mid job draw complaints in some cases, yet the positive notes stay consistent on quality of the final electrical work and the crews ability to adapt. What Customers Say
“These guys came to my shop and dumped all of their trash in my dumpster. Never worked with these guys before but illegal dumping speaks volumes to their integrity and business ethics…. This wasn’t today. Your company is on camera dumping. Your lockers that had all this crap in it is right by me. You don't have to be working in the field to trash your unwanted stock.”
“Russell came out on very short notice and quickly assessed my issue. He spoke to me in terms I understood and advised me on what to do. He is extremely competent and made me worry less. Thanks for being there for us!”
“We needed some outlets fixed and some put in so we could wire in a door bell. The original quoted price was 1500 and I was fine with that but half way through he changed it too 2200 because it was a harder job than they expected. I understand a quote is a quote but waiting till the end of a job to raise it that much is ridiculous. He should have stopped and said how much it was and let me approve the new amount. In the end I paid 2k by taking two plugs off but I just found the last minute invoice to be underhanded.”
“Johnny on the spot when it comes to Service!!! As a Facilities Director, I've never worked with a company that pays as close to detail as this R&D. Even when they've run into a little job that turns into a can of worms. All repairs are handled professional, no patch work done to just make it work. While working on a service call or new installtion, they will report any other concers as they run across or point out items that need attention that my in house technician can do. Working with Don is great. He has that old school way of thinking. Where a person's word should mean something and stand behind it. Where R&D can, they dated and signed parts replaced. Making it easy to track the repairs, warranties, or workmenship. If you are willing to leave your name behind on your work, to me it shows that you believe in what you do and are willing to stand behind your work.”
“I was building our house in Ellis County and they were recommended by a friend . I called Don to ask if he would give me a bid on the electrical and he did . There office is 90 miles north of where we were building . They were always on time, he had a few employee problems, but he always stood by his word and took care of it . Don himself came out two times during to process and did the work himself . I would use R & D Electrical again with out an hesitation . Good group of guys .”
