About

Bullard Electric works out of Boyd, Texas as electricians who take on residential jobs across the area. They handle power needs for new buildings added to properties as well as upgrades and fixes on existing homes that homeowners buy. Technicians like Les show up for panel replacements, lighting additions, and quick responses when breakers trip from everyday use. The company gets called in for projects that require planning from the first quote through to finishing the work while keeping the site in order. Homeowners in Boyd deal with electrical demands that come from both older houses and fresh additions, and this crew steps in to meet those needs without extra layers.

They run new circuits to outbuildings, swap out full electrical panels, hang pendant lights over kitchen islands, restore power to dryers after a breaker pops, and add switches to patio lighting setups that started as plug-ins. Les has suggested changes like hardwiring instead of basic switches to improve safety and function on certain jobs. The work includes fitting projects into tight schedules when possible, maintaining a tidy work area, and addressing issues that surface during a home purchase or renovation. Customers have seen both efficient execution on larger installs and cases where the pace felt pushed, with pricing details sometimes left unclear until later.

Reviews split on how the jobs turn out, with some homeowners praising the clean results and speed on new power runs while others point to poor back-and-forth on costs and details that left them frustrated. Quality gets credit when panels and lights end up done right, yet price complaints appear when the outcome does not line up with what was expected. Communication stands out as a weak spot in lower marks, even as certain technicians earn notice for practical fixes. DIRT Score 3.5 from 23 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

The guys at Bulldawg were outstanding for my project to run power into a new building. From quote, planning, and execution. Outstanding work, a clean job site, polite, and absolute pleasure to have on property. Thank you again for fitting my project in so quickly.

I would not recommend BullDawg Electric to anyone. Communication was terrible and getting clear information about the work and pricing was nearly impossible. The service felt rushed and unprofessional, and the quality did not match the price charged. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience and I regret choosing this company.

I had the pleasure to work with Les on an existing home we had just bought. He upgraded our whole electrical panel, put in pendant lights over our island and helped me with a breaker my husband accidentally popped and our dryer wouldn’t work. If you need an electrician to get the job done efficiently and fair, call Bulldawg electrician. Thank you so much for your amazing work on our new home.

Review Update: I love the way Les and his company are always looking out for me, as a customer! I recently had some patio lights hung but they were plug-in lights. I wanted to have a switch installed, and Les was willing to do it. But after some thought, he came back with a suggestion that cut him out of a job, but solved my problem, and made it easier for us both. He suggested getting a smart plug for the outlet. It was genius... IK many of y'all are savvy enough to know about these, but I didn't. I ordered the plugs and set the smart switch so I can turn the lights on and off! The point is Les could have done the job for a switch or a smart switch, but instead he pointed me to a cost saving solution. This is the second job he's done for us and found a way to give us what we wanted, but save us money. He looks out for his customers, and does an excellent job! Wholly recommend him! PATIO PROJECT RESCUE-Electrical We just had a patio expansion project and needed an electrician to connect some electrical and outdoor fans. We reached out to our granddaughter, Juliet Biard Montmayor who is a local realtor. She has an electrician that she recommends to many of her clients. Les Haralson, owner of Bull Dawg Electric came out to survey what we needed for the patio job. He quoted us for time and materials. We also wanted some things done inside, but were prepared to do them later if we needed to save on the initial costs. He looked at what we wanted inside in addition to the outside hookup, and made suggestions that were better and less expensive than what I thought we wanted. He never tried to upsell any products or services. We had him install dimmer switches in some of the interior rooms, he installed some under and over cabinet light strips in the kitchen (which I just love!!), and added an electrical outlet in the master closet. He and his crew did an amazing job. They worked for about four hours and were done by lunch! We are very happy!! I can comfortable recommend Les and Bull Dawg to everyone!

Les is one of the best around. He has gotten many permits from the City I work in, and I have never had any complaints. He has also done work for me. He is punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable. Even an inspector at an electric company recommended him. Use Les. You won't be disappointed.
