“Eclipse Solar installed my home batteries two years ago. I recently purchased a new EV and after plugging it in, discovered that the batteries were charging but never discharging. Enphase troubleshot it over the phone and told me that there was a meter issue and that the wiring and placement needed to be checked. In other words, the batteries had been poorly installed. Eclipse Solar's website is inactive, as well as the phone number on their contact card. I tried to contact Nick, the owner of Eclipe Solar in Dallas, several times directly, but he didn't answer my text messages nor my calls. I have his phone number because I also had an issue after the intial installation of my batteries, with the breaker tripping every single day. My complaint at that time was ignored so I posted on Google a negative review about their bad customer service. Nick called me quickly to ask me to remove my bad review and that he will (eventually) come fix the issue. I understand now how he gets only 5 stars reviews. Needless to say, Eclipse Solar is no longer referred by Enphase anymore. With the current issue, since I was ignored, I called him from another line and he answered immediately... He told me 3 different times that he would send a technician and that I would have to pay for the labor. (He asks me to pay them to fix the wrong installation they did which made my batteries useless for 2 years apparently!) I waited once again for three weeks without any sign from him. I lost patience and contacted another company that was reffered by Enphase, who was responsive, efficient and cordial. They were shocked by how everything was installed backwards. Eclipse Solar is the worst imaginable installer and worst customer service possible. Avoid this company at all cost. Elcipse Solar has workers who apparently have zero idea how to properly install the equipment (and expensive! 18700$ for 2 batteries of 5kW was a terrible investment), but who will gladly take your money and ignore you once you figure out they did an awful job. The advertising slogan should be: "Eclipse Solar: We install your system so it works as if every single day is a solar eclipse!". Funny but not funny.”

“I reached out to Eclipse Solar for help wiring up a 28.7kwh DIY system. My experience with Nick, Jason, Tiffany, Rob, and Kris was above and beyond what I was hoping to find. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing help with solar. The whole team was prompt and communicated clearly. There was a good bedside manner with everyone. After looking for many months, I found Nick, and he pushed me ahead on his schedule and showed up in days and ended up solving all my issues and got us fully running. They also communicated with my electric company for me and helped us sell back to the grid. It was a very difficult job. Nick and his team had a huge heart and followed through on everything they said from day one. I could not expect more. I also want to point out that the price for services was very fair. Thank you for that..🙏 They hooked up and wired (2)Sol-Ark inverters, enphase equipment, EG4 equipment, and 3 batteries. Everyone was well versed and knew exactly what to do in a very complicated situation. I will be coming back when I expand my batteries.
