“I called just before noon and spoke to a nice receptionist in order to request an assessment on electrical work at my home. She was nice enough, and told me she would pass along the message. After I didn't hear back for a few hours, I called again around 4 pm The receptionist told me that all the technicians were still "in the field", so I would have to wait to hear back. I finally got a call between 5 and 6 pm, and made arrangements to have someone come to my home the next morning. Tyler arrived on time the next morning, and quickly assessed the situation. He told me I had "major issues", and that he recommended fixing the same day. I agreed that the issues were major, but I had another electrician coming to asses and give a quote, so I was not ready to commit to KJW. He was kind, and told me to call later this morning when I made a decision. I called just before 12 pm that same day to get their full quote (I had also requested some other electrical work to be done). I was told again by the nice receptionist (whom I am assuming only has a phone and a post-it for office equipment) that the technicians were all out at the moment (and for some reason cannot be reached - at all, by any means) so I would have to wait for my quote until the end of the day. I was a little confused (and annoyed), as Tyler (the technician), made it sound like everything needed to be taken care of today. Sure enough, Friday came and went and no one ever called me back to give a quote. I had to call again on Monday morning, and left a message. The receptionist got back to me promptly, but then explained that the technicians were all "out already", and that they probably wouldn't be able to give me a quote until WEDNESDAY now. I reminded the receptionist that it is the year 2026, and there are surely multiple ways to contact a technician via cell-phone, email, text message, etc, even if they are "in the field". She stated that there was not, so I came to the conclusion that they must not want my business. I decided to go with Fused Electric in Fredericksburg, and do not regret it for a second. I was disappointed because I was referred to KJW by several people that I trust, but I do not have time for poor customer service. I rarely ever give a bad review, but I was so frustrated by my experience that I hope this review sparks change in how this company conducts business and serves as a warning to other potential clients. It sounds like they do excellent work and that others have had great experiences based on the reviews posted here, but unfortunately I never got the chance to see for myself. If you have time on your hands and don't mind playing phone tag with a sweet-sounding receptionist, then feel free to give KJW a try. Otherwise, I suggest you look elsewhere.”
