About
Av&Dq Electric Service Inc works as a licensed electrician based in Garland, Texas. The outfit serves homeowners and businesses across the broader DFW region, covering towns such as Addison, Allen, Carrollton, Dallas, Frisco, McKinney, Melissa, Murphy, Parker, Richardson, Rowlett, and Wylie. With license number 26917 they stay reachable around the clock through their listed contact line and handle the steady demand for electrical work that comes with Texas weather, older housing stock, and ongoing suburban growth. Common needs range from basic repairs to larger upgrades that keep properties safe and up to code.
They install and service circuit breaker panels, set up EV chargers, handle lighting and security systems, and manage generator installation along with generator repairs. Crews also take on smart home wiring, full construction and renovation electrical packages, and commercial jobs. Customers have noted technicians arriving for panel diagnostics and leaving systems operational again, while others brought in devices for LED lighting fixes only to report missing parts afterward. Turnaround on straightforward calls tends to move fast when the issue is isolated, though some visits stretch when additional components must be sourced or when the initial diagnosis changes.
Feedback shows solid marks on speed and quality for completed repairs that restore power or add capacity without extra callbacks, yet repeated notes on communication gaps and unexpected costs pull the overall rating down. Price complaints surface when jobs exceed the first quote, and a few accounts question parts handling or follow-through. The mixed pattern across dozens of entries lands them at this middle score. DIRT Score 3.12 from 40 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! This guy makes it seem like he can fix TVs, but really he goes in, takes the parts he needs, then calls you saying the TV can’t be fixed. I should’ve listened to the other reviews. The only thing wrong with my 58-inch Hisense was that the picture wouldn’t display. It still had sound, and when it turned on, one side of the screen was black and the other side was white. With sound!!! I got the TV back, and now the whole screen is out. With no sound!! Where I messed up was telling him what I had already tried to do to fix it, because he used it against me. Then he tried to say it couldn’t be fixed, but offered to sell me a 55-inch Samsung for $160. This is a scam.”
“I do not recommend using Mr. Evans for TV repair. I dropped off my television with the leg pedestals, which were never returned. When asked about them, Mr. Evans casually suggested they might be "in the truck" (which clearly means he kept them). The original issue was only with the LED lighting strip, but when I got the TV back, the screen was completely ruined — it now has lines running across it in two directions. To make matters worse, I was told upfront the repair cost would be $120, but when my father picked it up, the total suddenly became $126. This was a disappointing and unprofessional experience. I paid $126 for a TV that came back in worse condition than when I dropped it off. If you value your money and your equipment, I strongly advise against using this repair service.”
“I would highly recommend (to anyone in the DFW area) taking your TV/Electronic device to Evans Electronic Services for repair. Evan was very prompt in his responses. He fixed our TV at a fair price and it was working properly in a very quick turnaround time. Very pleased w/ our experience.”
“I had the best experience with Walter Evans. I have a 55 in LG TV which went dark and approximately 7 years old. Looked around to consider buying a new one but just cannot afford the prices so I figured let's just get this one fixed. I emailed Evans TV first and got some information and then I called him to follow up and make an appointment for him to fix it. While I was talking with him, he was knowledgeable and very polite. In fact, he was so personable that it made me feel like we had been friends for a long time. He kept me informed the whole time as to the status of ordering the parts for it and when he would have it ready. I had my TV back in less than one week. He went above and beyond for me due to my disability. Evans TV is now my go-to TV service man. He is also very honest and reasonable. Thank you again Walter! TV working great!”
“You know when you go to a mechanic you are paying for parts and labor! So I understand how business works Evan showed great services by fixing our TV. You just have to pay what it costs . If you don't like it then go else where he is very straightforward. He even had it done this next day . I'll definitely come back again .”
